Property Ratings at Plum Tree
months and months waiting for repairs. Neighbors that throw their dog poop into your yard and management does nothing. Fireplaces that don't work and critters between the walls that are now coming through into the apartment. Run - don't walk - far away as you can from this apartment complex.

We know that our wood-burning fireplaces are a great feature to our apartment homes, especially in the fall and winter months. If you find that you need assistance with how to utilize these, we ask that you please reach back out. As far as your other concerns, please send a private email at plumtree@solomonorg.com or give us a call at (414) 250-7837, as we'd like to resolve those issues for you as well. We value you and your feedback and want to ensure you're comfortable in your home at Plum Tree.
The best thing is the location, within walking distance of Whitnall Park. You can get nicer places with better customer service that are less expensive. They unnecessarily inflate rent each lease renewal. Extra fees added to the lease, old appliances, multi-layer linoleum, old carpeting, loud tenants, dogs barking, folks don't clean up after pets, and lack of customer service. The washer and dryer in the unit and the fitted bathtub are nice to have. They have a few other amenities like a tiny fitness center hot tub, and a pool if you want to be with kids. If you want to use the fitness center/hot tub, go when the office is closed or you'll have to walk in grass/snow/road because you can't park by the clubhouse during business hours. It's a place for kids and pets, they have "resident" events. If you're a light sleeper, invest in earplugs and/or headphones. In the warmer months, people are up and talking/playing loudly, or there are fireworks until midnight.

The first year I had minimal issues except for management never following through on any of their promises. They’ll send threatening letters about people parking in the fire lanes all over the complex, not picking up their dog poop, my neighbor smoking weed like it’s their day job but never actually do anything to resolve any of the issues. When my lease was up for renewal they tried to raise the rent on my unit over $150/month without adding any new features/amenities/remodeling. I reached out to the office to see if they could explain the increase to me and they couldn’t even be bothered to respond to me email. Long story short, plan to move after your initial lease is up.

Very nice apartments, comfortable, staff has always been available for me and my husband. To have the Botanical Gardens as your backyard is priceless!!! The kids call it home. We've been here almost 2 years and NO regrets.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of Plum Tree Apartments. We are that you love where you live and look forward to having you as a resident for many more years! Thanks again! - The Plum Tree Team
Really comfortable and well laid out apartments. There are a lot of options for large storage and the ability to have your own doorway/personal garage really makes it feel like a house with all the amenities of an apartment complex. During the summer, I really took advantage of the pool. It was a great place to relax and get some sun. As winter is rolling around, I appreciate having a management team that makes sure walking paths are salted and clear of snow. It's really been a great experience so far.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review of not only our property but of our management team as well! We are dedicated to ensuring that all of our residents have a fantastic place to call home. We are elated that our hard work has paid off - and all your expectations have been exceeded. - The Plum Tree Team
BAIT and SWITCH....Plum Tree will advertise a apartment and when you reply to the ad, they say that the listed apartment is not available to see. Then we went there to look at a similar apartment but the one that was advertised is now rented. Everything that they may have available is 200-500 more than advertised. Please don't ever rent an apartment that you can't see for yourself. And if the appliances or carpet is old, get it in writing what will be replaced before you sign a lease. Always look at the apartment you will be renting. With all the apartment complexes in the area, I have no problem walking away. Stay away from this one.

Plum Tree Apartments strives to be committed to all of our guests, applicants, residents, and treat everyone according to the Fair Housing guidelines established in our industry. We are truly sorry that the apartment was rented between the time you saw it advertised and the time you were able to visit our community. To help clear up any misunderstandings, pricing for each of our apartment homes is determined by many different factors including the different amenities it may have or the availability of each style. Every apartment is rented on a first come basis, and unfortunately, the style that you wanted was rented and we did not have any others available for your move-in date. Again, we are sorry we couldn’t accommodate you with the apartment home you wanted, however we would be more than happy to contact you if another home becomes available. Thank you, Kaycee Blader Property Manager
Hello, I wanted to share my experience that I had with Plum Tree Apartments management. After each lease renewal I had I’ve been asking the management what if it happens to leave before lease is over if its ok and what I have to do, So I was encouraged every time and told that its ok and all I have to do is to give them a 60 day notice and everything will be all right. It happened that I had to leave one month early due to a job transfer and I gave them a 60 day notice, I received a confirmation email stating that they are sorry that I have to leave early and nothing else. Also I’ve received a note to vacate the place at the time I requested so I thought everything is going ok. I cleaned the place spotless and moved even 2 weeks before they requested. One week after I moved out I have received a surprising letter from the management stating that I am responsible for the remaining month of the lease. This is how business is done at Plum Tree Apartments in Hales Corners.
We lived at Plum Tree for 14 months and couldn't wait for our lease to be up so we could get out of there. There were several problems living in this community: 1) The units are really old and the fixtures and appliances are really cheap. 2) They are reluctant to replace anything. We had a huge problem with the garbage disposal which shook the entire sink. They wouldn't replace it until it broke completely and flooded the kitchen. 3) They do not dispatch the plows when it snows until later in the afternoon. When I saw our neighbors out shoveling snow in the morning after a significant snowstorm overnight, I knew we were on our own. 4) Their communication with their residents consists of leaving notes taped to the garage doors. Sometimes we didn't get the note until after the time frame for the repairs was done. We currently live in a community where they email us -- you know, like 21st century technology. 5) The smoke alarms were way past their effective dates -- ours was dated 2004 and our neighbor said hers was 1999. 6) The air conditioner was really loud and couldn't keep the unit cool. We had to purchase 4 portable air conditioner units to just keep the temperatures livable. 7) The unit wasn't really clean when we moved in. Upon moving out we hired a crew to clean the unit. It was cleaner when we moved out than when we moved in. 8) They wanted to increase our rent $250 in the second year of our lease. We were already overpaying for such an old property. 9) Upon moving out the manager basically called us liars about the return of our swimming pool passes. She said we only returned one and charged us $20 for the "missing" pass. I recommend for anyone who is leaving this property, to video document every aspect of your unit before leaving because they will gouge you for every penny. It was a huge disappointment to live here. They do not live up to their promises.
When we first moved in our apartment it seemed nice when the property manager walked us through it but not even 2 days after moving in our cabinet shelves broke, our countertops showed signs of chipping, and we discovered cold air coming in through some of the wood work in our bedroom. As great as it seems it's not worth living here. The rent is way over priced. The amenities suck. The pool is always over crowed and the work out room is small. These buildings are so old you can literally here everything your neighbors are doing and I'm sure they can here that goes on with you too. If your looking to waste your money look no further. Your better off looking at the other apartment complexes that are not that far away from Plum Tree. I know there are way better priced and offer more.
The apartments are alright, for the most part it is quiet. There have been a lot of police here recently but thats the area we live in. You get use to hearing sirens. I have lived here for almost two years and nothing seems to happen in the apartments area. (stores in the area have a few bad moments.) The maintenance are on top of the grass and leaves. The insides are nice, cheap fixes but good enough for rent. The price has gone up though. $1389 for two bedroom, one bath. The hot top always has grim and tons of kids inside and the steam room works when it wants to. They said they will not fix or change it any time soon. Parking is irritating, all of the inside is basically paid parking ($30 a spot). Road parking is questionable, seen cars hit multiple times.
Plum Tree Apartment Homes truly is my home. It is my refuge and my peace, from the otherwise trappings and distractions of life today. Found by chance, while driving around looking for an apartment; it was not even on my list of places to look at. It was a home when I didn't have a home. Married to an active, abusive alcoholic, one night it became too much. My (now) ex-husband was in an alcoholic blackout one night and my life suddenly became threatened. I fled my home that night with my dog, my coat, my purse, and my cell phone; never to return. At Plum Tree, I found safety and peace, and a place to rebuild my life. Sitting next to a beautiful park in Hales Corners, WI, the location is very tranquil and serene. There is a beautiful clubhouse, which is always immaculately clean, equipped with a gym and incredible indoor hot tub. The heated pool, also always immaculately clean, has a beautiful water fountain. No need to bring a chair, there are lounge chairs, tables, and even a gazebo surrounding the pool. Bring your coffee and read the newspaper, or bring a drink and relax poolside. Grounds are picturesque and immaculate as well. Maintenance is always a phone call away and any issues I've had have been taken care of within 24 hours, with most being handled the same day. My apartment is truly my home. I love my cathedral ceilings, open concept layout, and fireplace which gets a lot of use throughout our cold winters. How nice it is to be able to have a crackling fire going when company comes over. How could this get any better? Well, after many, many years of parking on the street, I now have a garage of my very own to use every, single day. At Plum Tree Apartment Homes, I'm happy to finally be home!
I have looked at many apartments in Hales corners and greenfield needed to stay in the Whitnall school District. I could not find one apartment that was as nice as Plum Tree, there are many parking spaces for visitors they keep it looking nice summer and winter. I love it here and would recommend it to anyone and the price is good. I have found other places to cost more and not to be as nice.
