The Delta Township is a tight-knit community only 10 minutes west of the heart of Lansing. The town is split by Interstate 69 and the western section is made up of lush natural areas while the eastern section consists of residential areas and commercial developments. Renters will find affordable apartments, townhomes, and houses available for rent.
Events bring the community together and take place throughout the year. Families and individuals enjoy peaceful parks along the Grand River, located along the northern border of town, and residents head to West Saginaw Highway (Highway 43) for a plethora of shopping and dining choices at places like Lansing Mall and the Marketplace at Delta Township. While this amenity-laden town has a lot to offer within, residents can easily travel outside of town to visit other parks and trails along with popular places like Capital Region International Airport and Downtown Lansing.

Property Ratings at Plumtree Apartments
Since moving to Plumtree over a year ago I've loved it! The staff is friendly, parking is easily accessible, and the location cannot be beat! You should seriously consider living at Plumtree.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience, Isabella! We're thrilled to hear that you're enjoying your stay at Plumtree, from our friendly staff to our convenient parking and excellent location. We're glad to have you as a resident. If you ever need assistance, feel free to reach out to us at 517-321-1765 or plumtree@haymanco.com.
Plumtree is the best value in the Lansing metro area. The apartments are spacious, and have forced air heating and cooling systems which are FAR cheaper to operate than the electric baseboard heat and window box A/C that their competitors all offer. The location is also prime; with Meijer, Target, Aldi, Big Lots etc all within easy walking distance. Office staff are always friendly and professional and strive to meet the needs of their residents. We just signed our third lease, and are very happy to remain residents here for the foreseeable future.

They lie to get you to rent here. The buildings are old and smelly. My building smells like poop, as if there is a cow farm outside. My apartment smells like smoke even though I do not smoke and even though we were told they do not allow smoking in the buildings. They're out for money and it's obvious.

My boyfriend and i have been living here since June. It seemed all good at first but as time goes on you see the flaws. Maintenance is okay, not very smart because they couldn’t figure out why we didn’t have cold water, when it was just a simple valve that was turned off. They ended up tearing my wall apart and messing up the sink to try to figure it out. Cops are here often and someone got robbed right outside of our apartment by three men. Doesn’t seem like a safe place. And when it comes to rent it’s never the same. They’ve charged us double the rent for two months, i called and was wondering why so they figured it out and realized we were getting charged double everything. So they gave us the credit back but i’m still having issues with rent. I have to call them every 30 days to figure out why rent is more than it should be. Its just tiring. At first we were thinking about staying two years but now we want out when the lease ends. Shouldn’t be having this many problems.
Don't even bother with Plumtree. My fiance and I moved here from California and it has to be the worst apartment I've lived in. The staff lies, the apartments are disgusting, and the rent is NOT what it is on here, try add another $50-$100. We were told if we moved in during May we would receive two months free rent and water, heat, internet, sewage, and electricity were included. So we signed our lease and on paper we were moved in on the 31st of May. We were charged rent for ONE day and then charged on June 2 for our second months rent. So the "two months free rent" was gone in 3 days. We were also told our apartments was recently renovated. Once we arrived, the apartment was APPALLING. There was garlic on the floor and in the cabinets, there were onions all over the floor, the shower drain was clogged with hair and wouldn't drain for the first 4 days we were here and the whole apartment smelled awful. After moving our stuff into the apartment, we decided to look around and check everything out. Once we started looking, we realized we were essentially lied to and given a dilapidated, disgusting apartment. In the living room and in the bathroom, the ceiling is warped from water damage most likely, and emits an awful, musty odor which we believe to be mold. Numerous outlets around the apartment don't work at all. The appliances are all rusted and the cabinets in the kitchen are warped and are strangely sticky, and the medicine cabinet in the bathroom is rusted beyond belief. Also, the neighbors are awful. Since June 9, there have been fireworks launched every single night, going from 10 PM to 2 AM, and there is always yelling which can be heard around the apartment complex and through walls. Also our neighbor above us would constantly stomp throughout the night and would wake us up almost every night between 3 AM and 5 AM. When we confronted our leasing agent about the numerous flaws in the apartment, we were told "That's just 50 years of living, its just like that" and didn't offer to fix anything. When we also brought up our neighbors he also offered no solution. The hallways also smell of some unknown odor, it smell like a wet dog mixed with rotten food and cigarette smoke. So after a month, we have already decided to move out. Don't bother with Plumtree, they will lie straight to your face and charge you for anything and everything. Don't waste your money here.
They only care about getting your money. Don't fix things, "good enough". Office is rude and nasty, head of maint even worse. Lies, bulling, intimidation. Can't wait to get out!!!!!
They do nothing but try to find something to charge you for. Just money grabbing business. They also take an unreasonable amount of time to fix anything and the doors to the buildings are broken half the time. Cops are outside all the time. Not recommended.
I lived here for a year, it was fine when I lived there even though it was way overpriced. However, when I was deciding whether to continue living there or move out they continually lied to me about the pricing for a 6 month lease. They finally revealed the real price within a few weeks before my lease was up. I hadn't signed another lease yet so I told them I would move out. Nobody told me I had to give a written notice until a week before I moved out. They lost the written notice I did give and proceeded to bill me for 2 extra months after moving out since I didn't give them a 60 day written notice. I am still dealing with their mess 9 months later. If you live in their apartments get every word they say to you in an email. Even if you talk to them in person email them a summary of what was said and request that they confirm that what is written was agreed upon.
You can make complaints until you are blue in the face here but their answer is always "Sorry, nothing we can do!" The hallways smell of weed, there's dog poop everywhere, things people left when they moved out shoved in the hallways of the storage units so I can't even get mine open, and the front doors to the building don't lock or are always being propped open. The manager never returns calls and the woman in the office, Shelby, is very rude on the phone. Don't sign a lease here, you will regret it within the first month I can promise you.
There is nothing good about these apartments at all. Only good thing is how close you are to everything in Delta and that’s truly what you’re paying for. They overcharge for small crappy apartments. Management is constantly trying to over charge or add fees for something that shouldn’t be there. Maintenance takes forever to fix something. I had a huge crack in my bathroom ceiling that would leak every time it rained and it took maintenance and the office a year to fix it when I’d call every time it happened. Sketchy people are always here in the car ports for hours when they don’t live here. The police are here for something a lot. You could save yourself a lot of money just trying to find something a few minutes away from the Lansing mall and all the restaurants because it’s not worth the price you pay to live right by everything. My experience here has been horrible and I can’t wait to leave.
I usually don't write reviews but I felt I had to this time. My husband and I moved here a year ago and have had nothing but great experiences. There were a few things that were unfinished when we moved in but those were quickly handled. People have to realize that the maintenance guys are not the ones that do the renovations on the newer apartments. There is a seperate company that is brought in for that. These are older building so things are going to go wrong but maintenance is right there to handle them correctly the first time around. I would say they are the best part about Plumtree. The people in the leasing office have changed a few times since we moved in but they have always been great and answered all my questions. The ones we have now are very friendly. The comments about wires hanging I have an issue with. We were shown in advance the apartment we would be leasing and we noted the small things that still had to be done. They were taken care of within a weeks time. All in all the apartment is spacious and there is plenty of cupboard space everywhere. Again this is an apartment not a house. Plus there is a locked storage area for each apartment. Our neighbors are all very nice as well. We have a few teenagers in our building but you barely hear them at all. Plumtree is a nice place to call home.
It's really nice and quite apartments. The maintains service is also good. The staff is also co-operative. Plum tree apartments it's near to schools, Lansing Mall, Target, Meijer, ALDI, ABC ware house, sharp park , Best Buy etc... They offer free water, sewage and trash removal. We have never problem with heating and cooling system and bills. Thanks
I have been a resident of Plumtree for 15 years. As such, I'm able to offer a long term perspective on living at this Apt. complex than others who may have been living here for a shorter time. If you are thinking of moving here, please consider the following: PROS: 1.) Affordability. You won't find a 2 Bdrm. apt. with more square footage (900 sq.ft. )within this rental range ($600 - $725/month avg.) Similar apts. in E. Lansing/Okemos easily rent for $200 more per month. 2.) Location. You are a 5 minute drive away from the busy retail/restaurant "strip" on W. Saginaw Hwy. Got kids? You are within walking distance of 3 schools in the Waverly school district. 3.) Noise Level. For its location near a thriving business district, it's still relatively quiet here. Within the Apt. buildings themselves, a new mgmt. team (circa 2013), has made a concerted effort to rid the complex of "trouble-makers". In addition, few college students live here since it's too far from campus. The vast majority of residents are "working folks", with a few retirees. CONS: 1.) "Dated" Interiors. Plumtree was built in two stages, from the late 60's to the early 70's. One of Lansing's "premier" luxury apt. communities at the time, today though many apts. still retain kitchen/bath cabinets/countertops dated from the late 80's. Appliances get replaced only when they break down. HVAC is original to the apt. As such, the central air/furnace units need constant maintenance, but when they require it, the maintenance staff is quick to fix things. Note- A few apts. have been upgraded. Inquire with the leasing staff as to their location. 2.) Availability. Looking for a 1 bdrm OR 3 bdrm. apt.? Good Luck. Plumtree is a 36 bldg. complex, but less than 5 bldgs. contain 1 & 3 bdrms. Do the math. CONCLUSION: I've seen other reviews (by former residents)on other apt. review sites "bad-mouth" this complex. I don't think that's fair. During the years I've lived here, I've witnessed its "ups & downs", but this is a good apt. community, and the new mgmt. team seems committed to making it better, with a multi-year program in place to repair roofing & paint & install new carpeting in all common areas of the bldgs. Overall, Plumtree is a good value, & a nice place to live.
This apartment complex is big but the management and maintenance staff are always quick to respond to calls and address concerns of residents. The complex is in a quite part of the Westside of Lansing within walking distance of the Lansing Mall, Meijer, Parks and CATA Bus Stops. It is located in the Waverly School district. There is a indoor pool available year round to all residents.
Management is really easy to work with, but things are handled cheaply. Neighbors can be rambunctious and loud, especially on weekends.
I really enjoy use of the clubhouse's internet and pool. Staff is friendly and professional except for one that flirted with boyfriend. My car was keyed and broken into the first month I lived here, and my wreath was stolen off of my door. Maintenance gets work orders done promptly and do an awesome job. I love the location, close to the mall, Planet Fitness, grocery stores and restaurants.
My apartment is in Lansing Michigan its a very nice three bedroom bath and a half and the main lobby / club house has a swimming pool and common area. As an estimate of my space is roughly about 950 sq feet but actually quite spacious we have our own little storage unit in the basement and considering we are on the second floor we have a balcony roughly 12 feet off the ground from the railing to the ground. Rent is 863 a month.
PlumTree Apartments are a nice place to live. Very spacious for the price they offer. However, parking will be an issue if you do not purchase a carport and they have shared venting. So if you do not smoke and/or have asthma, this might not be the place for you. I have have to complain a few times because they put me around so many smokers that my apartment would either smell like smoke and/or even weed and i don't smoke anything. Other than that, the staff people are very friendly!
This apartment complex is very nice. Its central to many of you urban attractions and shopping locations. Only a walk away from the Lansing mall and Meijers, 5 minutes from the capital, 10 minutes from East Lansing, 15 minutes from Meridian Mall with interstate ramps very close by, it is in an ideal location on the west end of Lansing. The apartments themselves, mine being a 3 bedroom, are very roomy and modern (I know I have 3 kids and a wife). Plenty of space and leniency to make your home feel like home. With friendly neighbors and a indoor swimming pool with sauna it is not a bad place to be!
We have been in a two bedroom apartment here for a few years. It's quiet enough and very very close to everything. It's private with a front desk manager almost always there during the weekdays. All in all we lived in worse places so this ones not bad.
I have been at this complex for over a year now. Anytime I ran into an issue, they were there to fix it within a day or two, unless it's an urgent need, they would be there right away. The staff is always accommodating, friendly and understanding. Apartments are a nice size for a small family or just roommates. The more you pay, the nicer the apartment and worth it, for sure! Landscaping is always beautiful!
