Tulsa
Located in the northeast plains of Oklahoma, Tulsa is a historic city of nearly half a million people on the banks of the Arkansas River. Known for more than a century as a major oil and gas production center, Tulsa’s economy has grown into the aerospace and technology sectors more and more in the last few decades, and is home to a blossoming media industry as well. Head to Cherry Street if you’re looking for a relaxing dinner or coffeehouse, or pop over to Brookside for a more energetic shopping, dining, and nightlife scene. Tulsa continuously earns recognition for being exceptionally walkable and bike-friendly; in fact, one of the community’s favorite annual events is the Tulsa Tough, a three-day bicycle race festival with parties for riders and non-riders alike to enjoy.
