Property Ratings at Pointe at Northern Woods
Great apartments and they don’t make you wait when you request a service and they always take care of their property.
Property Manager at Pointe at Northern Woods, Responded To This Review
Hi Keita, we’re thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying your apartment and that our team is meeting your expectations with prompt service. We take great pride in maintaining our property and ensuring our residents have the best experience possible. Your recommendation means a lot to us!
I’ve lived here for a little over 5 years and love it up until Oct of last year when AION bought this place out. Work orders only get done when I see the maintenance guy outside after waiting for weeks and then they half do them, hardly anyone in the office most of the time and the fact that they make up their own rules(jack up mtm fees, raise rent, change move out notices to what they want them to be) is ridiculous to me. No upgrades with Columbus schools and no pool but charging new albany prices and now I see why people are moving left & right!! I would definitely not come here because the money they want for rent definitely doesn’t fit what you’ll be living in.
This complex has been recently bought out by AION mgmt. The old mgmt. group had repairs done in 1-2 days tops, the new group will mark your repairs resolved without even walking into your door! The phone lines are always busy, the voicemail is always full and the office is always closed! Water is backed up all over the basement floor and now there are mice coming into the house. They have mice traps all outside of the building so clearly there is a problem. They will not replace carpets let along clean them, no amenities (the pool onsite belongs to the complex behind) and very outdated for the amount of rent they want. Let’s not talk about the parking, it sucks! Soooo many cars, no parking spaces. You have to be home by a certain time just to get a spot even then you might have luck getting one. This used to be a nice little community and selection of tenants had requirements. Now anyone can move in, literally! The community all complains and almost the same issues. Definitely a downgrade from before! I’ve lived here more many years before this change. We definitely will be moving once our lease is up. The 1 star I do give is for the size of the apartment, it is decent enough for a family of 6 and under. There are so many other issues I can name but that could take forever. Just keep scrolling is all I can say. You’ve been warned!

2 star because they layout isn’t bad. However, I recently moved out of my moms (townhomes) to a two bed room. They did not replace my carpet what so ever. I asked they just stared at me confused. They never did anything other than stem the carpet. Here I am 2months later . My child has had this ring worm on him for while . I never experienced this problem when I lived with my mom in the townhome. If you want to move here I’d recommend the one over $900. My apartment builiding stinks every single day. I’ve put air fresheners the carpet is old in the hallway . You can see through the bottom door like mice could just come right through with no issues.
I lived here for 2.5 years right after i got out of college. I LOVED my townhome. They continue to update everything. I got a new patio/fence, AC, furnace and new windows in the time i lived there. I never heard my neighbors and i only needed Maintenance once or twice and they are out within a day or two. Lots of space and i loved my patio. Also great green space for my dog! I bought myself out of my lease due to moving out of state for work, but they were super helpful with the process and very fair! I would still be there if I wasn’t moving to TN!
I waited so long to get in these townhomes and I have to say it's been the worst experience ever! The first full night of being here, I discovered several roaches while wiping down the cabinets. I alerted the office but their sense of urgency, or the lack thereof, is unacceptable! The staff can be very short when they don't want to answer questions. I moved in December 18th and still have not been treated. I got a notice yesterday stating someone would be out (December 29th). There's also a host of cosmetic issues and I just feel the preparation for my arrival was a little lackluster. There's a huge gash on the wall of my patio and because I face the ravine, I'm worried about bugs and animals getting in there. My original move in date was December 5th so me moving in 2 weeks later should have given more than enough time to fix any issues. I truly wish my experience could have been better before Christmas. I was unable to cook for my family because I didn't feel comfortable serving out of an infested kitchen. As for the townhome, I love this setup and space. Its exactly what we were looking for. I just hope they do a better job of communicating and being a little more personable.
I too was a bit hesitant because of reviews, but after living here for past year, I can honestly say this place is home to me. Maintenance is really fast and nice. Management is very professional and willing to help all the time. Neighbors are great aside, from one neighbor. Management is really good about addressing noise issues. So far no issues. I would gladly renew my lease. The apartments are beautiful and spacious as well.
After reading some of the reviews I wanted to write about my experience. I have lived here for 5 years and have had little to no issues. The apartments are a great size for the money (I live in the 1300 sq ft town home with a finished basement). They are a little older but the complex is doing a lot up updates on the property. The apartment is a little drafty in the winter but not unbearable. The office staff is awesome!! They are always helpful when I have questions or concerns and any issue I have gets taken care of in a very timely manner. The manager is great, he is always willing to work with you as long as you keep him informed about what is going on and don't show up with an attitude. I saw reviews about maintenance not fixing issues, but I have never had to wait more than a few days unless they had to order parts. The neighborhood doesn't look the nicest but it is very quiet and I have never had any issues, In fact I had more issues in my last complex in a much nicer area. A huge plus for me is that I have a large dog (90 lbs) and any one who has a large dog knows how hard it is to find a complex that allows any dog larger than a tea cup poodle. Greenhill Village has no weight limit on dogs and allows 2 pets. I love these apartments and I plan on staying here until I save up to buy a house. Don't judge a book by its cover, because this complex is great!
I lived at GreenHill Village for 3 of the worst years of my life the management was horrible they lost my rent check and tried to make me pay a late fee. Maintenance didn't fix anything. I would not tell anyone to rent from them.
I did not sign a lease here however I did stop in. Unfortunately, I pictured the apartments larger it did not fit the size I needed. They have a lot of amenities which is great and for the amount of bedrooms. You can't beat their prices. I may have signed a lease but the appliances were so outdated walking into one to take a look at I knew I would have to call maintenance more often than i'd like. The office was nice but nothing over the top. the area was not so great..hence the good prices. Overall, It was a good place for a quick beginning just not for me.
I am not a person who writes a ton of reviews. However, I felt the need to put this out there because the person in charge of this complex is an absolute joke. First, when we moved in, the basement flooded and ruined a ton of the items we had in our 'man cave'. When I approached him about lowering the rent as a customer service idea, because we were paying 50 dollars more a month for a finished basement that we couldn't furnish again. Just for the length of our original lease. I wasn't trying to get money for our things, that's for renter's insurance, I get that. I was met with a pretty harsh 'not gonna happen'. No worries, you gotta make your money. I get that. However, with the carpet being ruined, we were told that they wouldn't charge us for that (should be implied, right?). When it came time to move out, we were charged 600 dollars for the carpets and blinds (blinds were certainly our fault, I had NO issue with that). When I gave them a forwarding address we got a 'collections type note' (not collections, but it sure looked like one). The letter also went to my brother (roommate while I was there) and that was NOT our forwarding address and also they had a number on file. Do not know why they couldn't call us or send it directly to me, delaying the process. I have no issue paying for things that I am responsible for. The only excuse I got was 'we have pictures'. Duh. The fact that the apartment flooded due to your negligence you have pictures of. It's a terrible place to live, the receptionist is very nice and it is quiet. But terrible neighborhood, and when customer service is preached and not delivered, I have an issue. I sincerely would petition you do not move here when just a little further down the street there are far better places and amenities. Best of luck in your search.
