Property Ratings at Pointe at River City
Horrible management, worst I have ever dealt with. Phones dont work when you call and I have had 2 maintenance requests "in progress" for months. Cheapest I could find out here but theres a reason for that and its totally not worth it.
I'm currently on a lease I cannot wait until my lease is over terrible and I mean absolutely terrible communication. They never answer the phone never respond to emails and if something does not work they take the time to fix it and overall experience has been terrible. Management is almost obsolete because you can never talk to management about anything even if you go up there they're either in a meeting or they're busy.
I lived here only due to the pandemic to get on my feet and because there were no availabilities anywhere else. The apartments have so many cracks where roaches get it! Roaches and silverfish bugs are a huuuugggeee infestation problem here. Also everything breaks easily. The towel rack in the bathroom broke on my 3rd week. The ceiling fan panels also broke off and the fan is wobbling out of the ceiling! Faulty electrical sockets, buy Surge protection extensions! That’s if your sockets even work to begin with. It’s also not safe and your property isn’t either. Lots of crime, car theft and break ins. My lease is over in just 3 more months and I cannot wait. I am considering moving a few weeks early! My kids see police drama and bugs everyday. I don’t even want guests over even though my apartment is clean!
This apartment is horrible been living here for 5years and it's very old and is infested with roaches this apartment disgust me sometimes the toilet leaks the heater stinks there is so many stuff wrong with this apartment I can't wait to move I hate insects and roaches can't even eat in the kitchen without seeing roaches had to throw my microwave away because roaches was living in it ... warning stay away from here don't move here
I’ve been here for three years. And overall I like it here, maintenance is pretty cool with answering tickets, the front office always answers or gets back to you if they miss a call...the section I’m in is pretty quiet only when the kids aren’t outside lol. But the WALLS are paper THIN!! I can hear what the ppl downstairs and across the hall from are doing from my room and I live on the top floor!!!! And the dogs omg the DOGS!!! They’re everywhere!!!!! (And cats) This property needs to reinforce putting leashes on dogs because I should not have to worry about my son being chased by dogs while waiting for the school bus.
Don’t move about here rent is aways a different price maintenance take for ever to fix thing ... my car got towed two times with in 5 months rent office will let show me where visitor parking .... I parked in the blue visitor parking and still gets so after party there for four months I just don’t get this Community and it’s a lot of dogs and cats around I will never recommend these apartments for anybody stay away .... I can’t wait to move 7 months to go lol
Stay far away! You never pay the same amount of rent each month because of all their fees. We have been dealing with roaches since we moved in and were told they would take care of it but no one shows up. Yet we are charged $10 a month pest control fee. If you decide to still rent from them read your lease aggreement carefully!! They will pull a fast one on you and then tell you oh but you signed it. No one is ever in the office when you call and if you leave a message they never call you back. The rent might be cheap but its not worth it! Just horrible!
Like listen, when I first moved here, the price snatched me up. I’m like “heck yeah!” But listen..they never fix anything! Maintenance always has an attitude like they’re the only individuals that have jobs! They haven’t sent me a rent statement in two months! The rental office staff....wooosaaahhh, don’t get me started. If I could do -0 stars, I WOULD!
This apartment was a start for my family and I. We relocated because of the following. If you live in a certain section your living will be more pleasant otherwise you won't have the best experience. The rent here will fluctuate!!! The water that's supposedly included is divided amongst us all and it does make a hefty difference. Whatever they tell you add 40-60$ just to be safe. Maintenance is horrible here. It takes them months to come out and when they do, it's a quick fix and you'll have the same problem again. Prior to the summer make sure the AC works. If not, you'll be the one of many sitting in a sauna of an apartment on a waiting list for it to get fixed. It has been said they're understaffed but if my husband and I are paying rent that's not our problem. And if we have to pay another mechanic or Plummer we should be reimbursed. They're also getting better with the bug issues..The staff in the office do not care about the people as tenants either. Good luck getting your deposit back! Lastly the rent goes up every year.
One advice: stay away! You have been warned. One advice: stay away! You have been warned. One advice: stay away! You have been warned.
Please save your money by NOT moving here!!!! I moved in end of April and it's now June and nothing was fixed that was listed on my lease agreement move in sheet. I complained to maintenance and office a total of 7 times. June 16 is when the tub was finally done which was after 4 calls and 3 visits to office complaining how the tub was chipping paint and horrible (I moved in April 29th and had the tub on inspection list) no one told me the tub could not be used for 36 hours after they did it and when I got off work around 8pm I walk in the hallway and smell fumes. Soon as I walk in the apt the fumes hit me there was no windows open no fan or ventilation I started to get dizzy and threw up and hurried up and removed me and my 2 year old to the outside. I now will be seeking legal and media action. The staff is friendly until you move in then they are rude and not concerned with any issues you may have
This place requires renters insurance- big red flag. Yes, there's a WalMart coming here but parking at the complex is already a nightmare- I can only imagine what it will be like once the Walmart comes. Crime runs rampant in this complex- call the Henrico County police department and ask for a free calls for service report. The walls are paper-thin, you will hear your neighbors everything and once you've signed that lease the office staff couldn't care any less. Maintainence is non-existent, it will take literally weeks of repeated phone calls to even get someone to show up. That work they did to the roofs is a joke- when it rains, it pours, literally in your home. the office staff are rude and seem to be in a competition to be as unhelpful as possible. If you value your life, possessions and peace of mind, DO NOT move into 11 North!!!

The leasing office seems great until there is an actual problem. Maintenance is understaffed and when they do finally come out, they never actually correct the problem, they just cover it up with a band aid fix. The apartments have zero insulation and are full of mold. All of the paint peels off of walls and in the tub and shows obvious cover-ups. Also, when the carpets are supposed to be "cleaned" they look like they have just been vacuumed over. The walls are also very thin both inside the buildings between apartments and outside the buildings. The maintenance staff never actually tell you when they are coming out. They can only tell you that you are on a list and can not tell where you are exactly on that list. The leasing office will hang up on you because they do not care what you have to say, especially if it is the end of the day. I've been here three years and I was happy to give a positive review when I left because of all of the negative reviews, but now I am not hesitating to express these thoughts. To pay your rent ahead of time for 3 years and not be able to get good customer service through leasing or maintenance is ridiculous. Save yourself the headache and do not move here.
The leasing office is the worst. I was really looking forward to a new start and this disappointed ha4d.
Once you sign your new lease all that politeness goes away. I have complained repeatedly for 4 years with no response. My neighbor has roaches which come through the vents. The filter has not been changed in 2 years. When my a/c went in 100 degree weather the maintenance supervisor with his trifling self said sit in a cold tug of water until he gets there. Maintenance came the next day at 11. Only response that you will get is a court paper if you are not on time with rent. This place is horrible. It is only good for a roof over your head. By the way my ceiling is falling in.
The perfect place for starter apartment! Clean , cute floor layout, washing machine and dryer. Clean grounds,Easy Access to trash dumpsters, plenty of parking, and yes pets are allowed! Great office staff! What more can you ask for? It get better... New Wal-Mart being built right across the street!!! Places to eat all around! Home sweet home! Family or single...its great One of the Lowest rent around!
Hello my name is Albertha i have lived in my apt. 11 at white oaks for 8 years now i enjoy my little apt. great area so far great nebors. go to the pool any thing that needs fixing maintanes get the job done i always enjoy the managment here they welcome you with open arms. i say that because 8 years ago i lost my mother did not know where to live had very little money feel like god and mother pushed me here now i have a grandbabie need more space for us thank you for listing this is from my heart.i sure hope i find another apt.that is great im ready my god im ready mommie find us another apt please
at a little over 700 sq ft its best for a 2 adults and one child they dont maintain the bugs at all during the summer they end up in the stairwells and your house. The neighbors.....well its not the best community but if you want something cheap just to lay your head this is it but really just for that
I currently live at 11 North and the customer service is absolutely AWFUL. Two days ago my air conditioner broke and I contacted the office and all I received was voicemail, after failing to get in contact with the office I contacted maintenance about the situation and I also received voicemail. I have a 4 year old in the house who nearly passed out from being in the apartment. Right now my thermostat says 96 degrees. I have repeatedly called maintenance and still have not received any help. This is not the first time something like this has happened, about a year ago my front door wouldn't lock and I called for maintenance and they didn't come until two weeks later the only reason they came was because I told them on a voicemail that my three year old opened the door and was trying to leave by herself. I am completely outraged, this is the final straw. If you are thinking about moving here, DON'T. It would be a serious mistake
This is great for low rent but, windows leak air, there is parking if you do not mind walking a block or two from were you live There are two pools but you have to drive to them. Every plane or firetruck that's near is like being next to it because windows are just one pane thick. The yard is uneven so went it rains there are puddles everywhere. As far as maintaining the units I have lived here 8 1/2 months and they still have items to fix. So if you need low rent and do not mind fixing everything yourself this will be ok for you. There are good things. Its on a bus line, there are lots of places on the bus line that you can get to. These are things that they will not tell you, I was told that they were maintained very well that they did not have any trouble with bugs and were very quiet. If I had only known this before I moved.
The windows are terrible. Lot of moisture builds up on the window causing puddles on the ledge. Build up of black mold around the bottom of the windows. Either you go broke buying bleach or inhale the mold. Other wise the apartment is great. Office hard to reach messages not returned. Hard to get maintenance is another questioned.
I had applied for an apartment with these ppl. Yet for the first time an apartment complex made it my responsibility to contact my employer for them. Took 3 weeks and never heard a word from these ppl. So I cancel my submission of application and now NO ONE WILL RETURN MY CALLS AND THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME MY HOLDING FEE BACK. They have the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. Poor management skills and are only worried about getting their money... All of their information posted on paperwork and websites are not accurate... If you apply to this place you will find out.
I AM GLAD TO SEE THAT 11 NORTH AT WHITE OAKS TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR COMMUNITY. THEY STAY ON TOP OF REPAIRS AND RENOVATIONS THAT KEEP THE COMMUNITY LOOKING GREAT. ANYBODY WHO HAS THE PLEASURE OF RENTING FROM THEM, SHOULD FEEL LUCKY.!!
The out cheapest paint they can use to fix the place I moved in with a broken ac n it took the 5 days and I have a 5 year
When contacting them about apartment information, they were very fast and friendly with getting me what I needed to be able to complete and application.
