Property Ratings at Pointe Inverness
They sold us a unit with bed bugs that the previous tenant had and then blamed us for it. Unit 6647 building 12 still had bed bugs as of November.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Your frustration with this situation is completely understandable and it is unfortunate that your first experience with an apartment ended in this manner. When you reached out 2 months after your initial move in date, our pest control vendor was contacted immediately and was on site within 3 days of your initial contact. When they arrived to perform the routine reinspection the determine the efficiency of the treatment, they were prepared to address your mattress at that time, however you stated it was not convenient for you and it would have to wait. Since there was no history of this issue in the apartment and you were in residence for 2 months prior to an issue being reported, we can only move forward with addressing this issue with the you, the current resident. The property was not negligent in its response and the issue was resolved quickly. Your choice to terminate the Lease Agreement early was handled in the same manner as it would have been for any resident choosing that option. Thank you again for your feedback and we sincerely hope that you are enjoying your current home.

We loved living at Pointe Inverness! Kelly, Meredith, and Heather are phenomenal and so is their maintenance crew! Neighbors are courteous and respectful, and the community is beautiful and well-maintained all year. Would recommend to anyone!!!

Thank you for your kind review! We are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Pointe Inverness!
I have lived here for 6 years. In that time, I have had a lot of different neighbors. In certain conditions, neighbors can be noisy, but since moving my bed away from the shared wall, I have not had any issues that impeded me. For the most part, it is a quiet community. There can be issues with people not picking up their dog's poop, but I think that is the same everywhere. The administrative staff is very friendly and has known my name from day 1. The maintenance staff has changed a few times but they have been helpful and responsive. I have had frustrations, but that is to be expected. Overall, the biggest issue for me is that the rent increases every year, which was not disclosed upon signing the lease. Also, the appliances are older, so the utilities, especially heat, are incredibly expensive. But Pointe Inverness is in a lovely neighborhood with good schools close to any shops you may need. Overall, I can't afford to live here if the rent continues increasing as it has been, but I have enjoyed the time I have been here.

I have lived here for 4 years and I absolutely love it. The first year yes my bill did spike to 250 in January for heating. But I also noticed that AEP itself charges an extra $75 to $150 dollars for their charges. Maintenance has always been wonderful and the staff is the sweet most out going I have met. No its not a brand new complex but I love the peacefulness of it and the staff

We appreciate your positive review about your experience with us! This winter was unseasonably cold and we all saw increased costs. Our staff tries very hard to make sure that our residents have a great experience and we appreciate the kudos! Have a great day!
Although the staff has been very nice to address problems, it doesn’t make up for their lackidaisicalness. I’ve had an open ticket for over four months to stop water from flooding our porch but apparently that’s not important to their budget and now it’s too cold to work on it. Also, forget safety in the winter time. Buy a shovel and salt before the first snowfall because you’ll be spending the entire winter making a pathway to your car while maintenance drives their golf cart all day in mockery. Half of our closet doors broke off the track in the first six months. Our electric bill tripled in the winter after a roommate moved out and Christmas lights were put away. And tell me what other apartment is so cold that your oven has to constantly reheat itself while cooking food because it can’t keep itself warm enough. Keep your money and look elsewhere!

Dear Anonymous: I want to thank you for taking time to voice your concerns and apologize if I didn?t communicate well regarding water getting on your porch. This is a landscaping issue and will be taken care as soon as the ground un-freezes. With temperatures being in the negatives and subzero, it is a struggle for everyone. To try to be fair to all of our residents and as diligent as we can be to give everyone a fair chance to be first for snow removal, as we start at different building each time it snows or to put down salt. As far as the electric bills, I will agree they have tripled. AEP has raised their prices this year and with the temperatures we all have bills that have been higher than normal. I am not aware of any issues with your oven. Please call the office so that we can put in a work order to take a look at it for you. If you have any concerns or questions, please don?t hesitate to contact me directly. Thanks, Kelly Community Manager
Absolutely awful apartment complex. Incredibly structuraly unsound and unsafe living environment. Mold and mildew inside the walls everywhere. Constant issues and problems with everything. Incredibly incompetent staff who have no concern for the well-being of their tenants. Everything is "fixed" with makeshift quick fixes that do not solve any problems whatsoever. Dry rot covers the entire exterior everywhere. The office ladies have excuses for everything, but never any solutions to anything. Worst rental experience ever. I would not recommend anyone to live here! If I could give negative stars, I would. They don't even deserve one star for their rating.
I lived here a little over a year. When I moved out I gave them my new address so they could mail me a bill if I owed them anything. I received a letter from a debt collector saying that I owned the complex money. I would have paid the bill upon recieving it in the mail, but I wasn't even given the chance. They stated that they sent it to my new address, but I did not receive an email OR a phone call. I had great neighbors and everyone seemed friendly. Do not live here if you don't want to be screwed when you move out.
I have lived at Point Inverness for almost a year now and love it! Yes the electric bills can be a bit high but nowhere near $200-$300. My friend from college and I paid around $100 a month for a two bedroom during the winter. Meredith and Kelly are both awesome and really helped my friend, Trey and I feel at home when we moved in and throughout our stay. For example, one day after a long day at work I pulled in and Meredith said I looked like I needed an ice cream bar and handed me one. Made my day! The pool is also amazing during the summer. Really feels like you're at a resort. Unfortunately my roommate is moving to Ohio, so I'll be moving downtown Fort Wayne, but will never forget the time I had here.
Waste water has backed up into my bathtub 3 times this year, and at no fault of my own. My electric bill in the winter per month is over $200 on average for my very small, and very overpriced unit. The complex looks nice, and most neighbors are quiet, but I'm very upset with myself that I renewed my lease in August.

We are sorry to hear that you are having regret about renewing your lease with us. As you know, we had the plumbers put a camera down the main plumbing line and they found the actual problem was a tree root. Bills can vary pending many factors such as, your heat setting, what you are running and how often. A helpful tip with keeping warm air in during the winter months, is to put plastic on your windows. If you should have any other concerns, please contact us directly. Our goal is to provide a place that our residents are happy to call home. Sincerely, Kelly Community Manager
