Resting an hour and a half north of Philadelphia, Bethlehem is located in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, steeped in rich industrial and colonial history. It’s endured a revitalization over the years, but its surge in popularity hasn’t hampered its old-city charm. While Bethlehem may be under 20 square miles, there is a ton to discover.
Experience the city’s beginnings in the historic downtown district, which houses several museums and landmarks. Spend a day learning about mills, wash house, and other structures in the Colonial Industrial Quarter, or the town’s role in the steel industry at the National Museum of Industrial History. After your history lesson, visit some of the specialty shops, galleries, and local eateries in the downtown area.
If you’re an art lover, you’ll fit right in because this quaint town is home to a vibrant visual and performing arts scene, with several spaces dedicated to artistic expression.

Property Ratings at Pointe North Apartments
I’m here almost two years . Office snd maintenance staff couldn’t be nicer. Any issues I needed taken care of were handled in a timely manner.
The office and maintenance staff are excellent! Beautiful surroundings. Quiet. Any problems, they are there in a heartbeat! Always have special little events for tenants which is really nice and appreciated. I did not give 5 stars only because of cost of rent. It goes up every year, and living on a fixed income I get concerned.
Where do I begin? First, they attempted to backbill me 10 months for a “pet fee”, which they had known I had a dog all the while. Then they tried to charge me the pet deposit blaming their computer system for the oversight. Luckily their supervisor stepped in and made a more reasonable handling of their error. Then when it came to the walk thru upon leaving, the inept office of two failed to show. Their computer didn’t schedule it properly. Then in the end they did the walk thru without me being able to be present and assessed an obnoxious amount for supposed cleaning and replacement of god knows what. So adios to my security deposit no doubt. They are not worth your trust or high monthly rent. As for the apartment itself, it’s a place to sleep and shower - nothing special.
My Parents thrived for my Mom's last 19 years at this excellent property on Harriet Lane. Well maintained and ideally located near doctors, groceries and other services, it is a perfect retirement location, especially the ground floor units. Scarcely a fleck of snow would fall before the walkways were cleared and salted. I took over their affairs for the last 3 years, and personally dealt with the rental office on their behalf. Our family enjoyed visiting them frequently and keeping them healthy and in place during the pandemic, with my Mom, after surviving COVID, passing in the apartment with us just one month shy of her 98th birthday. We needed to move my Dad after this and the transition was very easy. Kristen, Debbie and Steve were so sympathetic in this process, and they always were responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Maintenance and safety were never a worry, and even the lease formalities were efficiently and easily done. These are great people.
Apartments are reasonably priced per square footage. They are well-maintained inside and out. Their staff are top-notch both in the sales office and maintenance team. The amenities are tremendous...too numerous to name them all. Beautiful views; park within walking distance; pet friendly. This complex is definitely 5 stars.
I did not enjoy living at Pointe North for several reasons starting from the moment we moved in. Our apartment smelled really bad like a combination of grease and cigarette smoke. New paint and brand new carpet did not remove the smell from the previous tenants. Instead of vacuuming the dog hair from the previous tenants, the hair was just painted onto the wall along the molding. The toilets had black mold in them, the master shower was dirty and I had to scrape slime off the kitchen faucet, who knows how long that had gone without being cleaned. The biggest issue I had with this apartment was that there was a black, greasy residue that appeared in the bathtub water and it stuck to the tub as well as my son’s bath toys and I noticed it on his skin several times after his bath. I couldn’t clean it off of anything with products or scrubbing. There were several attempts by maintenance to fix this issue including entire replacement of the water heater but it never went away so just be aware that these apartments are old and falling apart. Lastly, the complex is downwind from a dog food factory which you can smell 2-3 times a week all day long and it is a heavy stench that lingers in the air. Overall I would not recommend living here.
For the price this place is not worth it. Beware “pet rent” is just for the “privilege” of having pets in the apartment. I payed $800 in one year towards pet rent and none of that was used to cover new carpet when moving out. There was only one spot on the carpet where my dog peed one time. I even rented a carpet cleaner to clean it up. Even though it was one spot they replaced the carpet in the entire apartment and charged us for all of it.
Renter We have been living in Pointe North Apartments for about 5 years and love the place and the staff is always willing to help with very quick responses at any time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wheter your are single, couple , pet owner or family you will always fell at home.
Property Manager at Pointe North Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the great review! We're happy to hear that you love living at Pointe North.
The apartments are nice. Too noisy. Maintenance/Grounds keeping has no thought for the amount of noise they create. Leaf blowers constantly which are one of the noisiest pieces of equipment. Couple leaves on the sidewalk and they have to get the leaf blower out. Ridiculous. Makes it challenging to have a relaxing day. This is going on all week. One day it is the grass cutting that takes literally all day using leaf blowers and mowers. Another day they are out with the leaf blower blowing three leaves off the sidewalk. Another day it is the garbage trucks. It is constant and they don't fix it even with complaints. The apartments are nice and the staff is nice. Just no respect for noise issues coming from groundskeeping. They raked leaves for the fall the day after Thanksgiving which is a day off work for a lot of people. They literally took all day from 8 AM until 5 or 6 PM. When you live in an apartment you cannot escape that noise. Leaf blowers for 9 to 10 hours is way too long. Get out the rakes and respect the residents. If this issue was fixed the rating would be a 4.5. Rent is slightly expensive even for this area but this is common for all apartments.
My husband & I took a tour and loved it. The rooms are spacious, grounds are lovely.
There are many things to look for when you’re trying to find an apartments but point north has one thing that stands out. Community is something I never thought that important when looking for apartments but this place has it in spades! It’s easy to meet people! The people who work here are pleasant and easy to talk to as well as trustworthy! People here go far beyond caring about you being happy with your apartment they want to be sure you are happy in every part of your life and if they can do something to help you with that they will. They know the community and can recommend everything from where you might find work to where to find the best pizza or a good recipe for holiday punch! Maintenance is awesome and efficient! They are a wonderful group of people and the apartments are some of the best in the area. You are renting more than just an apartment at this place; it is a real home/community/experience worth having. My husband and I have been very pleased living here and if not for trying to make something more convenient we would have lived here longer! We would definitely consider moving back if things were to turn out right for us to do that!
I was a resident at Pointe North from Nove 2009-Jan 2013. This is a wonderful location, very quiet with walk paths and a nature type sanctuary. More than anything, it was the staff that truly made this a wonderful experience. When I originally chose to reside at Pointe North, I had no time to visit this location prior to my move from the Midwest. Melissa (front desk personnel) was so helpful in explaining the property, the location, the surroundings and amenities to me. Therfore, when I first arived (sight unseen), I couldnt have been more happy with my apartment and the location and it was exactly as Melissa had explained-if not better. The manager (Christina) was always helpful and caring and always made time to talk with me. Maintenance was excellent-maintenenace personnel (Tim and Brad) always addressed any issues in my apartment quickly and couldnt have been more friemdly. Furthermore, the care taking of the facilities were excellent. As I have had to move for a job again, I will truly miss this quiet location and especially the people/staff that made this such a wonderful experience for me. I can say that without a doubt, if I have the opportunity to return to the Bethehem area, I will again choose Pointe North as my residence.
