The experience for the whole process was very pleasant and smooth thanks to Miss Raquel. I’m very excited for my move in date. The office and staff are very friendly and sweet. This whole process has been excellent and it couldn’t have gone any better.

The area is nice and quiet, that's a plus. Might be the only plus in my opinion, despite the office management being nice and welcoming. They do their jobs the best they can... I think it's a bit overpriced for what we have here, I've lived here for about 3 years and I still can't figure out how this complex is considered Luxury. In the time I've been here, the pool may have been open twice. It's had the "Pool Closed" sign on it for a vast majority of my time here, I've only used it once. If you decide to move here, I suggest getting a gym membership at Baileys, or Planet Fitness, because the gym here is very limited on equipment. I'm a very active person, it's a nice environment for running, skating and walking but that's it. The mailbox is always full, it's quite frustrating, at one point I had to call corporate just to figure out what was going on with my maintenance request, as it was going on a month and still not fixed. Despite that problem, maintenance usually responds quick, however, I wouldn't say they do their job efficiently... It's kind of like putting a bandaid over a gunshot wound and hoping for the best. If you're handy I'd suggest doing it yourself, I'm not though so it's pretty inconvenient. I've had several problems in which maintenance would come and fix something only for it to break again. Those are issues that might be pretty common for apartment complexes. I honestly don't recommend this place to anyone looking for a "Luxury" home, go down the road, keep looking, get a bang for your buck. But if this is your last resort, or you just don't care about the amenities, come on in. I've stayed because I'm too lazy to move, I'm never here except to sleep, and it's quiet.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your concerns. We understand that previous staff and maintenance was not performing to the best of their abilities, but the current staff and maintenance strives very hard to be efficient, courtesy and make your living experience a pleasant one here at Pointe Parc. We are also aware that the pools have been closed due to major repairs, we hope to have both pools open this coming summer for all to enjoy.
I have renewed my lease so I'm on my second year here. There is a whole new team that is MUCH MUCH better than the ones here when I first came. They help you solve problems quickly and have a cool, pleasant demeanor whenever you walk in. This location is awesome, close to everything you need. Reccommended!

I moved in back in Dec of 2022. The office staff has been so nice and friendly. They really made my move smooth and easy. The apartment is a nice size and was clean and ready for move. So far so good here!

I have lived her 2 yrs, just had to sign another lease due to the crazy rent everywhere. They increased my rent $200 a month. I deal with sewer back up from the floor about 3 times a year. The pools have not worked at all since I’ve been here, no estimation of when will be complete. They are on the 3rd management company since I moved in. Trash everywhere, old and not “renovated” well. Office never answers the phone, voicemail is often full. I would never recommend.

Hello User, Thank you for your honest feedback. I'm very sorry we failed to meet your expectations. Customer happiness is important to us and we hope you will give us another chance in the future. Sincerely, Pointe Parc
The worst place in the world to live, I count the days until my contract ends and I can get out of here.
I've been a resident here for almost 3 years, and while I've had issues before. The current issue I've having is a step above. My Air Conditioner went out of commission Saturday evening June 4th, I got a cool from the head of maintenance about the issue, and he said the unit would have to be replaced, but if the temperature outside got above 85 to 90 degrees I would get a mobile cooling unit. It's been 2 days with temperatures reaching above the 90s and I still don't have a cooling unit. It's genuinely awful and after this experience I wouldn't recommend anyone come here.
Thalya is AH-mazing! from the beginning she was so patient and so informative. She answered any questions and even gave me a tour on a stormy day to bring me comfort before signing the lease! Being newly weds in this market made it hard to find a place in our budget that was nice and in a safe area. The apartment we chose is perfect for our first home. I feel safe in the neighborhood and is convenient to all areas of town. The apartment is well kept and any issue we have they have shown urgency to fix. Hoping it continues to go well to sign another year lease!
Our son accepted a job offer in the Jacksonville area, and being from out of the state he needed a residency fast. The leasing manager, Carly and her staff was very polite and helpful, and quickly expedited our request. The whole process was surprisingly easy, especially when trying to coordinate it from out of state.
Staff could be nicer, pool doesn't work 2 years now! Trash everywhere.
I hate the process of moving but I can't resign my lease. This place is not worth what I pay and not worth the increase they just stuck me with. $80 is really steep! The gym is a wreck. The treadmills are always broken. The pool is always closed. Maintenance is a joke. Since when do apartments not have garbage disposals?
This place does not qualify as a luxury apartment by any means. There is trash everywhere. Literally. There is a substantial critter population on this property and when they eat dinner from our valet trash containers, they don't clean up after themselves. Neither does maintenance. So there's cans, food, paper and trash laying all over the hallways and in front of my door. I also suspect that this contributes to the cockroach problem we have here. I don't have a garbage disposal. My AC works intermittently. The gym is falling apart. You can't use the pool table on Sundays or after 6 pm Mon - Sat. The carpet in my unit is wrinkled and looks terrible.
The walls are thin. You will hear EVERYTHING. Maintenance is severly lacking. When I moved here four years ago, maintenance was great. The past two years, not only is there a new maintenance team every six months, but the same with the office staff. No one cares here. It takes several calls and requests to have an issue addressed. The washers, dryers and ac are so old. The past two summers I have lived with my unit in the 80's. Brutally hot. They come and look at it, and say it's fine. My electric bill is through the roof. I can't imagine renewing my lease at this point. I can't deal with another summer like I have.
In a nutshell this place is sub par at best. Maintenance is lacking. It takes days to have work done, and in Florida when your AC is spitting out warm air- it's miserable. There is no "newly renovated state of the art fitness center." That is an absolute lie. The machines are old. The weight machine has no pins so that is not useable and they have the AC turned off in that room. The swimming pool has been closed for over a year. New management is shady. Funny, when I moved here a few years ago, their facebook page was transparent and had reviews. That is gone. Hmmmm? Walls are somewhat thin. I can hear the neighbor behind me playing video games. The neighbors next to me are up all night laughing and having a grand old time. So if you're a light sleeper, beware.
Ready to hear everything your neighbors are doing? That's what you've got in store at this place! I have a dog next door that doesn't shut up. I hear him at all hours of the night. I have complained to management but nothing has been done. Be prepared to hear conversations, arguments, singing and coughing from your neighbors. My washer/dryer is older than I am. It's a fire hazard. The HVAC guy who came to work on my obsolete AC was shocked at the condition of it. He walked straight over to the office to tell them that it needed to be replaced asap. Welp, that hasn't happened. It's been a year. There are better places in this area to live.
If you are looking for a comfortable, accessible and beautiful place to be, do not hesitate to access. The treatment of Carly and the staff is great!
The place overall isn’t bad, the grounds are well kept, and the staff has been ok. The noise, however, is horrendous (at least on a first floor). If there’s anyone living above you it’ll sound like ww3 is going on upstairs, especially if the people upstairs are inconsiderate pos neighbors. Apparently community standards to apply to some living here.
Very low standard for urgency, follow up, consistency, and courtesy regarding maintenance items. Unless you hound them left and right, and only if it's an actual health and safety violation, will they make an effort to fix anything.
There are a number of issues but I can narrow it down to two main issues that should really make others rethink considering these apartments: 1) Plumbing: Plumbing is very very bad in some of the buildings. The lines get clogged often which causes backflow into the bathtub and an overflowing toilet. You'll get an idea by the number of times you see David Gray or some other jacksonville plumbing company's trucks at the apartment complex. It is bad. 2) Noise: The acoustics of the buildings are absolutely atrocious. I live on the first floor and it was okay until a tenant moved in above me. That is when you realize how awful the sound dampening is. Every step the tenant above me takes sounds like a loud booming thud. As if someone is thrown on the floor with every step. The floors were not constructed with sound dampening in mind and it will drive a lot of people crazy. Also, the thin walls make it a nightmare to live next to someone who has dogs that bark all the time. You will hear it all very closely.
I have lived here for almost a year, and under the previous management there were absolutely no complaints. Now however, it takes them 3 weeks to get a light bulb changed. They can’t take maintenance requests in person, even emergencies such as you’re plumbing is disconnected and you would like to use your facilities. Save yourself, find somewhere else.
Hardly two days in, and you realize that maintenance will be full blown in and out of your apartment. Rust on steel ware sinks show after 2 to 4 days which they had obviously cleaned off during your first show. Until you walk back and forth on the carpet , the carpetting is poorly done with scanty underneath padding. You feel gaping holes all over underneath the main carpet. Poor lighting can hardly see your key hole and needless to say, the outside doors are painted in a dark color ,watch out do not lean against them they are dirty hardly cleaned !!! That's why they want deem lighting for you. Though quiet , this being Florida, mosquitoes buzz around your door and fly escorting you into your house on opening your door!! Yes your nights are predictable after that .

I was scheduled to move in right around the time of Hurricane Irma...the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was okay to move, the apartment was okay for move in and all after hours. I especially love the customer service Chad provided. He made this move effortless and continuously checked to see if there was anything he or the staff could do to help assist during the hurricane. I love my new place and look forward to the next year...or two.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us, Samantha! We hope that you only grow to love your home more with time and that you won't hesitate to let us know if we can be of assistance to you in the future. Welcome to the community!
Let me first off start by saying if it was possible to give zero stars I would have. This has been the worst apartment I have ever lived in in all of Jacksonville. It is overpriced compared to anywhere in the area and it isn't even worth half of what they charge. Bugs are every where from cockroaches inside all the apartments to the swarm of bees and huge spider webs covering the breeze ways. You pay for pest control but never see results. The walls are so poorly insulated that I had to put aluminum foil in my window just to get my apartment cooler than 85. You have to call and call and hound the office just to even get maintenance to show up to fix anything and when they do show up, they barely do anything (in my case they just changed the AC filter, even though I told them I did just the other day) and say they fixed it and dash out the door before you can say a word. Nothing ever gets fixed. The ACs and the washer and dryers are so old nothing ever works. It will take three times on high heat just to get a small batch of clothes done. Most of the apartment reek of Marijuana and if one person smokes it in your building it will pour into yours because of how their ventilation is set up. Absolutely no one and I mean NO ONE picks up after there dog and people either park taking up two spaces or never move there car so you have to park three buildings down from your own. The public bathrooms by the pool are absolutely disgusting and not once have been clean since I lived here. The only thing I can say this place has going for it is its location its really close by to everything but if you work 8-5 or any of the standard rush hour times you better wake up an hour earlier than planned because with the terrible and rude traffic on that service road plus all the traffic due to J. Turner Blvd. You will be in bumper to bumper traffic every day for atleast an hour before you even get passed Southside or Baymeadows. I have lived here for three years in two separate apartments. I wish someone had warned me the way I am warning you. They will screw you with rent increase once your lease is up aswell. RUN WHILE YOU CAN.
They are an amazing apartment complex. They really look after there tenants

The apartment it's really comfortable, even though it needs some upgrades, it's a very good place to live, very well located, very secure.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you've had a great experience here at The Glades Apartments. Best Wishes, The Glades Management
The Glades are located in a very desirable area of Jacksonville, Fl. The staff is amazing, very attentive and helpful, my husband and I have lived here for over two years, and we don't change it for anywhere else. They have two pools, two gims, actually they are making renovations right now, and that's the reason behind the 4 stars. The area is so calm, and save, and it's not directly open to a very transited street, which is good for kids and pets. We could not ask for a better place to call "home".
Just renewed my lease for another year!! I'm sure I'll be here for a long time. The staff is AWESOME! Lauren is sweet & understanding & always makes time to listen. Her office staff is extremely nice & attentive. The maintenance are always prompt & very polite & get your requests done quickly (I only needed one small item fixed). The property is well manicured/clean. The location is the BEST w//the grocery store & mall very close. I could not be happier w/my choice of apartment homes. It's a perfect fit & perfect size. I love it here!!
This is a 4-star complex with 2-star service. Before I signed my lease, the staff was phenomenal! Vilma was thorough, attentive, and always available for questions. The apartments were nice and I was eager to sign, because I thought they offered the value for the money that Aqua Deerwood (a nicer and more expensive community next door) did not. After I signed my lease, everything changed. Calls went un-returned, emails ignored (by everyone, including the complex manager!), and maintenance requests took months to complete with no communication as to why. And on a couple of occasions, maintenance reported completing work that never actually happened. I decided that it wasn't worth being a pest because I frequently left the office (or hung up the phone) after talking to the office and wondering how they had any residents when they treat people so brusquely. I like the complex, so I decided to try and start fresh. I emailed Lauren (the manager) several months before my lease came up for renewal and said that I would like to talk to her about upgrading to a larger unit. No response. No acknowledgement. Nothing. That was my 'had enough' point. I went in to the office and told Sabrina (the one who I hated talking to, because I always left feeling like the most inconvenient person she knew) that I was not renewing. Why? Poor customer service when I was looking for a larger apartment. She completely skipped over the first part and my official reason for leaving is that I 'wanted a larger unit.' No wonder people like me feel like our business is not important to them. So the highlights are a manager who is probably a decent administrator, but incapable of providing any semblance of customer service or communicating, an assistant manager I never saw, met, or heard from, a leasing agent who might (just possibly) hate you to death if you ask her for anything other than to not renew (the nicest she has ever treated me was the day I came in to end my lease), and Vilma who is trying to do it all but simply not able to spin that many plates. The funny/ironic part is: I am probably going to sign up for a larger apartment, in a nicer community, at Aqua next door, and pay only slightly more than I am right now. Maybe this is karma smiling on me? :)
These apartments are by far the WORST apartments to live in. I made a huge mistake choosing to live here. If you plan on moving to Jacksonville, do not even consider moving into The Glades. There are bee's everywhere, spiders and huge spider webs in every corner, the maintenance people never help you out when you ask, everything breaks, the ceilings and walls peel and they charge you so much to live in a horrible, old apartment that has not been updated in years! Our sinks and shower never stops leaking water because they're broken. Our dishwater is broken. The washer and dryers are so old and tiny that it makes it impossible to do your laundry. No one has come to fix anything even after we asked them to. I could go on. I cannot wait until my lease is up in a couple of months because I want to get the heck out of this place!
