Property Ratings at Pointe West Apartments
They both love helping me at 2154 contrill lane And there Maintenance people are always helpful and everything love living here alway has a smile on there face thank you for all that u do
Nobody cleans up after their dogs. Leasing office doesn’t seem to care either.
The staff here are always smiling and polite. All issues that I’ve had were dealt with in short order, literally within a couple of hours. That is fast for apartment living! The grounds are kept up and the area is clean and quiet. Great place for families and pets.
Overall, the property is good. But there are a few things I wish I would've known BEFORE I signed the lease. These things would have definitely deterred me. None of these things were mentioned in the reviews. 1. There is an extremely active train less than a quarter mile away. It runs all day and all night long. Super loud whistle. Literally it runs 24/7. 2. If you're like me and don't like Xfinity, you're out of luck. Xfinity is the only internet/cable service out there. AT&T does not have 5G or fiber optics out there. 3. The upgrades to the apartments are very nice. However, they left the old, raggedy windows and doorwall. 4. It would be nice if they separated the smokers from the non-smokers. My downstairs neighbors smoke the stinkiest cigarettes outside. The smoke comes in when my windows are open. 5. Maintenance works on their schedule, not yours. Well, that might be the work of the office. They're not flexible with scheduling. If you're not available and don't want them in your apartment without you, well, you're out of luck. 6. You cannot view the apartment until it's ready. Period! Every final touch must be completed before you can even get a glimpse of the space. I think that's a bullying sales tactic to lock you in before you can change your mind. 7. The storage space for the upper units are outside. It's a dirty, closed outside where you possessions are subject to the cold/heat. It's a dirty, cramped space. Overall, it's not a bad place. I just wish I knew these things prior to signing.
Tracey is rude and inconsiderate. Donna is awesome and helpful. Maintenance is always delayed and forget to fix work orders that are placed. They will come out and look or start a job and never come back. They do nothing about people parking in your space. The toilet was yellow and the toilet seat was white. They entered my apartment without telling me. I only found out because they was water in my apartment from a flood and dirty foot prints

We decided that after 5 months it was time to move. Our lease was up next month on July 1st. The office was closed so we gave our notice first thing Monday am. June 3. Tracey said it was to late and that we had to pay the July rent as well because proper notice was not given. They pro rate your rent in, but not on the way out........ The reason we were moving is for a few reasons. Very thin walls. You hear everything your neighbors do or say. And I mean Everything! Bathroom and walls in general are dated. Old yellow toilet, white tub, and sink with glitter in the off white formica. Garbage overflows at the dumpsters, and simple maintaince request still has not been met. Furnace room is full of lint and dust and looks like a fire hazard. I guess this may seem petty, but the just is they seem nice but never really are. Be very cautious if you want to live here. Trains all day and night too. Thanks for the read and dont take there nice word up front......

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Unfortunately the notice to vacate requirements are defined in the lease contract and beyond Tracy’s ability to modify. Your comments are all valuable and have been forwarded to our operations team. Thank you for being a part of our community and we wish you the best of luck in your new home.
My rule of thumb has always been if someone is willing to go out of their way to write a GREAT review, then it really must be that great. I've been living here for a year and have had nothing but a great experience. I love the location, I love my neighbors, and the price is great. The only downfall that some people may have is that it's right next to the railroad track and it can get pretty loud, but that doesn't bother me one bit, it has definitely grown on me. I love that I have my own washer/dryer in my unit and since gas is included it takes care of my gas dryer. There is no dishwasher but who needs those anyway? In my past apartments they always broke/leaked and was really just used as storage, I'd rather have extra cupboard space. Get yourself a nice drying rack and wash them as you go, you'll be fine (This is coming from a 25 year old, so trust me!). The people here are fantastic. My neighbors are so friendly and amazing, I have never had ANY issues with any of them. My one neighbor even brushes my car off in the winter time when they leave for work in the morning. There's no crazy college students trashing up the place or playing obnoxious music. Maintenance is always on top of their game and super informational and professional. Oh, and the ladies in the office, just amazing, they're always smiling and welcoming. Also, these apartments feel like an actual HOME. You have your own private entrance so you don't feel like you're living in a hotel or a dorm like most apartments. Your mailbox is right outside your door so you don't have a long walk just to get your mail. You have your own balcony or patio which is great to sit at in the morning with a cup of coffee. The price is great for what you get. Gas, water, and heat is all included so you're only having to pay DTE and your internet/cable on your own. I looked at other places in the area but I didn't feel safe at any of them. That is one of the top things that I look for in a home and I feel safe here. There's lights all over the property at night to keep the sidewalks well lit, and my neighbors look out for me. I work 2nd shift so I get home around midnight, last thing I need is to feel unsafe walking to my door from my car. I had an opportunity to move closer to work but I turned it down because that's just how much I love it here!
I have lived here for 1 1/2 years and just love it. I haven't lived in an apartment in about 30 years, having moved from my house to here. The layouts are nice, apartments are spacious with lots of storage, own washer and dryer hook up and own private entrance. Those were a couple of the selling features for me. I also liked that the stove and dryer hook up are gas which is included in the rent along with heat and water. I shopped around for 8 months before choosing this complex and I don't regret a minute of it. The office staff are awesome, as well as the maintenance support. I had a sink back up on Christmas Eve and maintenance worked very diligently to fix it and ended up putting in a new garbage disposal. Complex is quiet, with nice landscaping. I love to walk through the complex with my dog. Nice exercise and great scenery. It is close to the train but it doesn't wake me up and there are times I just totally block it out and don't even know it's gone by. Definitely something you get used to. I can't say enough good things about this place. I love it and it feels like home.
I love Pointe West apartments because I have a washer and dryer in my unit. My unit is super cute and functional. Huge space for washer and dryer, also storage closet is spacious. My own little private patio that I can do whatever I want in. Park right across the street. Maintanance is always on call and they help quickly when needed. The women in the office are always super sweet! Cute little picnic area where you can have family get togethers. Neighbors are all super quiet. Never any issues. Found this apartment on apartments.com and it was exactly what was shown in the info and pictures.
I have lived in Pointe West apartments for almost three years now, and I absolutely love it here. The management team as well as the maintenance team are always great. Very affordable considering you get washer and dryer hook ups in every apartment. Everyone on here is complaining about the train but when you move in you know its there, plus you get used to it. There is a very small park across the street. There may not be a pool or fitness center but again I would rather wash my own clothes in my own apartment and not share a washer and dryer. No smell from dumpsters. All in all a great place to live!
First of all, I like the community because it is quite and average clean. The maintenance response is usually in a timely manner. However, I would move just because of the management and their parking policy. The manager always says something judgmental even before you finish your statements or questions and somehow disrespectful and offensive to her customers. Parking policy is petty because they would not even let you pay to reserve parking spaces when they have so many vacancies. Only one parking space per household. Their visitor spots are always far from where your apartment is. You wouldn't like that in the winter. Even though you just park at somebody's spot for 5 mins to unload, somebody who does not even own the spot would tell you to move. You might get cursed out as well.
Ive lived here for 1 year and that was enough for me. If you have an apartment on the other side of the parking lot you have to walk all the way around in the snow or rain. The apartments are small and old looking. I was ready to leave after the 2 month I was here.v Ive had on going maintenace problems. They are fixed in a timely manner, but Ive had to many to even count. Its too expensive for the size and they dont off any amenities like a pool or gym. There are many apartment complexes around Westland. I would look else where!
I have a friend who live here and i wanted to be close to her. So i check out pointe west there is no where for the kids to play, no pool, no fittness center. you feel close in on the first floor with fence in patio. There is a rail road track near and you can hear it, big blue dumpster sit right in the middle of each apartment cant imagine the smell in the summer the stores are far, the price they asking for is not worth it they have nothing to offer you. the grass is not pretty only the office. So if you not a single person this is not the place for you.
