Parker Lane is the ideal suburb with commuters. Not only is the neighborhood bounded by Interstate 35 and Highway 71, but the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is five miles east, and Downtown Austin is five miles north. Whether you’re traveling into the city for work or play, or you’re planning some travel by air, Parker Lane is a premier place to put down roots.
If a quiet, affordable neighborhood is what you’re after, then look no further. Parker Lane is located directly east of Saint Edward’s University, and houses the Mabel Davis District Park, a sprawling area that’s home to one of Austin’s two skate parks, covering 12,000 square feet. Enjoy the park’s swimming pool, walking trails, basketball courts, and more!
Though the neighborhood is mainly residential, residents enjoy the variety of restaurants along Oltorf Street, along with the public bus stops, making getting around the area that much more convenient.

Property Ratings at Polaris on the Park - Renovated Apartments...
The leasing office staff, as well as the maintenance crew, are extremely friendly and helpful.
Terrible management. Overcharging for everything when they do absolutely no work to keep the apartments in order. Blatantly lie to your face about charges that aren’t on your lease (don’t pay them, they’re trying to get over on you). Absolutely no care for their tenants and the constant cycle of management changes proves there aren’t fully capable people running this place.
I am very grateful to have found these apartments! Office staff and maintenance are great! Usually your maintenance request gets fixed the very same day. The environment is very friendly! They have a dog park which is great! Overall it just feels like home!
apartments are infested with roaches, AC & dishwasher broke multiple times (took weeks to get a response from maintenance, more weeks to actually get someone to come help), cars get broken into every week and our apartment was broken into (money and cameras were stolen) and polaris literally did nothing. didn’t file a police report, didn’t even come to see the window they broke through to get in. horrible place, don’t live here.
We've been in our apartment for 3 years and we love the apartment location. The staff is great and maintenance request are responded to quickly, normally within 24hrs. Jenna - the site manager had been wonderful. Thanks Polaris team!!
Urban flats has done a great job with this property. Maintenance requests are seen to next day. I haven't had any problems with the office or parking. Most of the tie I can park right in front of my door. I love the little yard that my townhouse comes with. It's quite peaceful here and everything you need is within 5 to 10 minutes of you. The utility room is big enough for a full size washer and dryer with room to spare and there is plenty of storage space and closets. about to renew my lease and rent only went up 10 bucks. I really love it here and if it keeps up I plan on staying for a while. They are also very pet friendly.
This place has been amazing, it will be my secound year here ! Office staff is great and will try to work with you on just about anything. 5min from south congress and 10 min from Downtown Austin. Would reffer this place to anyone looking to be close to everything.
This is by far the best apartment complex I've lived in while in Austin. I've been here for 2 years and counting. The best part about living here is management. They are super quick to respond with a solution to any problem I've had, whether it be maintenance or a neighbor not picking up after their dog. Jenna, the property manager is an absolute delight. She goes above and beyond to make sure residents are comfortable and happy. She has even taken packages to my door because I was at work, and couldn't pick them up from the office. The apartments have recently been renovated, and are super spacious. The complex is super quiet (we've never had to file a noise complaint) and all the residents are super friendly. We know all of our neighbors, which has not been the case in previous apartments I've lived in. In my personal opinion, one of the best parts about Polaris on the Park is that it's affordable. How can you beat a place that's affordable, clean, and well-run? The complex in its entirety is super well-maintained too. They have lawn crews out every single week, and the laundry room is cleaned often. Overall, there is nothing negative I can say about this complex. I am so glad I found it!
AWESOME!!!!!!!! love the complex and love the people in the leasing office This is the best apartment complex in Austin Texas and i love living here and will for sure be renewing our lease. Jenna in the leasing office is amazing and extremely accommodating. The apartments are extremely clean and any maintenance issues get fixed almost instantly. the neighbors are extremely awesome and welcoming and that is one of the big reasons we love it. The dog park is awesome and there is an awesome trail behind the complex.
I have been living here for the past 3 months and, while my roommate is horrible, I absolutely love it here! Seriously, Jenna (property manager) and the office staff are so nice and understanding of any situation and will try their best to help you. Major props to Jenna because the situation I am going through right now is rough, but she is the most helpful and incredible person. This place is so quiet and about 3-5 minutes from HEB and Walmart. A lot of St. Edward's students applied here recently because it's about 3 minutes from that university too. I have talked to my neighbors and seen their adorable dogs, but everyone minds their own business unless you really want to get to know them. Unfortunately, I have to move out in July because of my roommate. If I wasn't a perpetually broke grad student who will probably be going back to living at her cousin's house for a couple months until I leave for fieldwork, then I would definitely live here again! Free Google Fiber, free Spectrum cable, and maintenance requests are taken care of within a day. 10/10 would recommend
I lived here for about half the year (transitioning) and really enjoyed my stay. My roommate and I never had any issues in spring 2017 with neighbors/management/housing issues. I'll start off with management: every time I go into the office the staff members are really nice and they know who I am and they're very understanding (especially for a college student where Leasing and apartment issues can be difficult to understand) they are extremely lenient. (Not paid to say this they are just nice guys and gals) Secondly the grounds of the apartments are usually always being worked on. Although they're old apartments I can tell the maintenance is prompt to fixing issues. The only issue is I'm pretty sure they don't cover Pest Control. This was a huge problem when it started to heat up this past month we had a terrible problem with cockroaches - I mean REALLY bad and I live on the first floor granted- but it became a problem that I had to take care on my own so that was a bummer... I have many pals in the apartments, most if the other first stories and second stories never have roach problems. Neighbors are nice, I'd say half-families, half-young people/college students. Never had anh issues with noise. The nearby street is busy but the area is relatively low-stress and safe. Really good and affordable! Commute to UT is really bad. Coming from a self sustaining college student: if you need somewhere affordable and normal this would be a good choice!
I'm mostly writing this to make sure that everyone knows to take all of the reviews with a grain of salt. The office is offering prizes to incentivize the residents to leave positive reviews on various websites in order to boost ratings- we've gone from 1.7 stars to 3 in two weeks. This place is a lot of space for the money and in a convenient location, but those are the only good things to be said about it. It has gone through three different management changes in the last year and they seem to be getting worse. They are painting the outsides and renovating the office to attract more people instead of putting real money into the complex. They redo the cabinets with varnish that chips off very easily. When the units are renovated, there are ventilation issues with the chemicals used on the floors. The chemicals are noxious, hazardous, and fill the adjoining apartments. They seem to utilize a third-party emergency maintenance service, and nothing ever comes from contacting that service after office hours, except to notify the office once it opens. Bedbugs are a constant issue in the complex. We saw multiple mattresses etc... being thrown out. We also experienced it first hand. Our apartment was sprayed multiple times, and they weren't sure if the spray would be enough to get rid of the issue. Each time we were sprayed, we had to wash every item of clothing and bedding we own. The renovated laundry room looks nice, and it is easier to deal with a credit card system instead of a laundry card, but it would be nicer if they replaced the faulty machines. You'll want to make sure to avoid the ones that have DOES NOT WORK or DOES NOT HEAT written on them in sharpie.
I have lived here at Polaris on the Park for over 7 years. I have seen alot of management changes. Some okay some bad and some really bad. I feel the team we have now is the best. They actually know who I am when I go into the office. Everyone is friendly and helpful. When I need any repairs done they come right away even if it's on the weekend or after hours. The grounds look so nice and is kept up really well. I now am proud to let people know where I live and always let them know they would like it here. June L.
Polaris on the Park has gone through several management changes in the year that I have been living here. This new management team (office staff and maintenance) have been extremely helpful. Whenever I have a maintenance request (air conditioning on the rocks; they put a new a/c unit in) it is completed in a timely manner. Whenever I go into the office the staff are always friendly and willing to assist with any needs I may have. All I see is improvement for the better and hope that the momentum continues (since I signed another year lease). This is quality apartment for individuals who need an affordable and convenient place to stay near highways, downtown and St. Edward's University.
I am a 24 year old woman from Mexico who recently moved to Austin. Being blindsided by the amount of apartments and housing options in Austin I can definitely say that when I found Polaris on the Park I knew straight away that it was the right fit. I live with a roommate and split the bill making it easy on me economically. This allowed me to live close to my work, Riverside, Congress and Downtown without spending that much. There is a corner store at the end of the street, great food in the surrounding areas, and even some running/walking/hiking trails I definitely have taken advantage of. Since I moved in I have seen great changes in management as well as updating amenities. The laundry room used to be a hot mess and now they re-did the entire room adding ventilation and new machines to mach the new Lobby. Google Fiber will be installed in less than a Month, which means fast internet for about $10 a month. There are a lot of positive things about this complex and the only negative thing I could say is that parking can be limited, but I believe I am just lazy and want to park as close to my APT as possible. All in all I believe I chose wisely for my first Austin apartment and have definitely recommended it to my friends.
I have lived here for over a year and it has been a fantastic experience. The office staff is able to help with all our needs and works with you when a problem comes up. The maintenance is quick to respond to work orders and keeps the grounds emaculant.
I moved in January 2014. It wasn't the best place by any means back then. Within 6 months, new management and staff were hired and the place did an absolute 180. I'm now about to renew my lease for another year in Jan. 2016. Our maintenance requests are taken care of right away (even if it's just replacing an air filter), you're notified by text and/or email if you receive a package, the grounds are super clean now, the people are nice, and its just overall a great place to live. Close to 290/71 and 35, close to all the new businesses opening on Riverside, not a bad drive to the airport, only 3 or 4 exits from the heart downtown, right across from the skatepark/a 1 mile long trail that I love jogging....such a legit place to live.
Polaris has been my home for about 7 months and I couldn't be happier! It's very quiet and peaceful, and my dogs love their little back yard! The front office staff are always helpful and sweet! Would absolutely recommend living here!
Moved in with a roommate the beginning of this year. The apartment complex is getting an overhaul by the new management team that has stepped in. Maintenance is fast, laundry room has been upgraded, and the staff is great at giving you notice via email. I also get texts when packages are delivered. The pool here is a decent size and there's also one across the street at Mabel Davis Park, if that's your thing. Residents are relatively quiet considering a good chunk are families. I like it here. Feels like they are taking care of business.
Polaris on the Park is on great bus routes and an easy bike ride from everything, as well. Ben White, I-35? Yup, right in between. Get where you need to asap. Mabel Davis Park 150 yards to the east with walk/run/bike trail, pool, and a skate park. The office staff does their best to help and the maintenance crew is a solid team of heavily working individuals. Active renovation and new features are hard to fruit while trying to service tenants, I get it but, they still push on. Remember when reading reviews, you can't please all the people all the time. Nowhere does this occur. This location is Schweeeeeet!
This is by no means a luxury apartment complex, but if you're looking for cheap rent, spacious living spaces, and a pool, this is the perfect place for you. It's in a great location, near South Congress, but not on the main drag, and close to all the high ways and thorough fare. The property manager is great, and the staff make an effort, but sometimes fall short on providing good customer service. My biggest qualm about this complex is the amount of bugs we constantly have in the apartment. We've had pest control come in several times to no avail. I know it's Texas in the summer, but this is absurd. Overall it's a decent apartment complex, especially if you're new to the area, have a tight budget, or want to be near everything without paying Downtown prices.
Nice quiet complex with reasonable rates very convenient location the staff is very helpful and access to all major highways and shopping great place to live
I love this place, its right next to downtown. The onsite management is quick to resolve all of my issues if I have any. Lots of cool amenities
