Bardstown is a small city in north-central Kentucky, about 25 miles east of Elizabethtown and forty miles south of Louisville. Court Square anchors the city’s charming Downtown district, packed with beautifully-preserved buildings that host an eclectic assortment of cafes, specialty shops, galleries, and taverns. Historic landmarks fill the city, from the legendary Old Talbott tavern downtown to My Old Kentucky Home State park on the south side. Bardstown is known throughout the state as the home of the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, which draws thousands of people to town every fall.

Property Ratings at Polo Springs Apartments
Polo Springs has recently remodeled each apartment and they now provide washer and dryer in each unit. The new apartments are beautiful. The pond and walk path and bridge are alot of fun. It's so peaceful here with a new 24 hour workout center!!
Just moved in with my husband last weekend and we love it! Community here is so friendly and Shirley the property manager is amazing! She was always so nice every time we chatted in person or text about the apartment. She fixed everything that urgently needed fixing before we moved in. When I forgot things she was very forgiving. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Very well kept up and I feel safe here. If there is an opening (which people have been here for YEARS) I would (and did) take it!
I lived here a year ago & I have to say., Renters beware. The property manager does only half of what she says. Make sure everything is taken care of before you move in. They don’t treat everyone the same. Charge different amounts for deposits and forget about refunds & no accounting of where the deposit went. Look somewhere else.
Property Manager at Polo Springs Apartments, Responded To This Review
Polo Springs is under new Management since 2023. Our team works very hard to make sure that maintenance issues are handled immediately and completed in a timely manner. The new Manager is focused on customer service and you can count on the experience of the new team to make your life at Polo Springs a positive experience. Stop by today if you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful community.
Please check somewhere else to live. First of all, the manager is completely unprofessional and rude. Good luck trying to get in touch with him when you need something, which you inevitably will. Every interaction I had with him left a bad impression, he seemed to talk down to me. I could not even tell you his name. He never presented it, nor is it in his voice mail greeting (which I heard a lot). The apartments aren't bad, plenty of space and closets. The walls are thin so expect to hear plenty of noise from your upstairs/downstairs neighbor. Also of note, I was docked $200 of my security deposit because they don't normally paint the walls or replace the carpet. So I wouldn't expect freshly painted walls or new carpet. Something to remember for when moving out as well Lastly, the pictures of the property look nice, but there is often garbage in and around the lake. There is also a policy to pick up after your dog, but a walk around the lake will prove that the policy isn't enforced. You will often see dogs let out without a leash and sometimes without an owner. This is the only apt I've experienced in Bardstown, but I have to think there are better options around town. I'm glad to leave this place behind.
Very Nice Apartments. Complex is very pretty and we'll kept. Pond in the Center where you can do some fishing. It's quiet and serene. IF you have a pond facing balcony or patio like I do, it's so nice walking out with your coffee in the morning and watching the ducks play in the pond. 2bd 2 bth for a great price. Volt I've ceilings and ceiling fans. W/D hookups in its own little laundry room. Good size rooms. One of the nicest places I have ever lived. Love it.
