Poplar Glen

Although we just moved in, the renting experience with Poplar Glen has been so positive. From the start, we received consistent/timely communication, a thorough tour with all questions answered, and a seamless move-in process. Our unit is super nice with up to date features and it feels like a very welcoming community - our neighbor even asked if we needed anything from the store on the day we moved in! I submitted 3 basic maintenance requests after moving in to ensure everything was working properly and they were all completed day of, which I haven't experienced at any other apartment complex before. Office staff has been so friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend.

I have been living here for over 2 years, the new management (Cardy) was an excellent choice! Weather, maintenance and pest control notifications are so APPRECIATED and recognized. Maintenance staff AWESOME. The only things I would like to see more of is the trash and the doggie baskets be monitored and changed more often or revamped. I would like the missing ceiling fan that is supposed to be in my apartment installed. My apartment was initially sold with a ceiling fan but I have been told there are none in stock???

I am having a great experience here in Poplar Glen. Nice and discreet neighbours. Management is kind and attentive and ready to help you with your needs or questions regarding living here. Maintenance is fast to help and fix. I definitely recommend this place!

Nice neighborhood and close proximity to walking trails and play area. Maintenance responds to work orders very promptly. Building is old and we’ve experienced issues with pests.

Poplar Glen is definitely a decent place to live. I have been here a long time 16 years. My rent has over doubled in that time which I find atrocious. Upkeep of the property is hit or miss especially the outside. I have lived under at least 4 different management companies. Until lately past month maintenance here has been good. If Greystar wants to continue raising the rent I think a face lift would be good for those of us that have been faithful renters.

The amount that the rent is going up every time you renew is ridiculous!! I’ve been here almost 4 yrs and the amount the rent house up is a problem! They should Do it every other year if they feel they really have to! That’ll work best! Maybe people would stay if it was like that.

That this is a quiet community of neighbors who are families and working people, property kept up regularly, repairs addressed quickly… great place to live….

The maintenance is fantastic and do a good job with snow removal. Front office staff is always friendly and helpful. Only problem I’ve had is the broken door on the dumpster pad

Professional management with a great staff that wears smiles and is extremely welcoming. Great team and maintenance is the best! We live in a peaceful and safe community. Our neighbors are respectful and friendly and have consideration for one another.

Very nice and calm neighborhood. Entire Leasing staff from manager to maintenance technicians very friendly and respectful. They respond quickly to My inquiries/requests. Overall my stay here has been very pleasant.

I have live here at Poplar Glen Apartments for 22 years. I basically love living in the area. The location is great! It is close to shopping, entertainment, the hospital, medical facilities, grocery stores etc. It's a great place to live!

Everything runs pretty smooth, sometimes email is a little annoying other than that, nice property. Quiet and the neighbors and neighborhood is nice.

This is a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood with tons of nearby amenities. I've loved living here. My complaints are limited to the rising costs of rent

The staff is disorganized. Rent renewals were SENT on 8/1/24 but we did not receive until 9/5/24, and we have to make our decision by 8/31/24. Well it’s too late for that!!! The office staff is so out of touch with its residents it’s probably the worst place I have lived due to staffing (Main staff, maintenance staff and cleaning staff). We are stuck in a precarious situation with the rent. We will not pay the up charged rent due to failure to receive the renewal letter! Grounds keeping is disgusting and disgraceful. There is ONE cleaning lady for all apartment buildings (not good enough). The maintenance crew do nothing all day but ride around on the golf cart like they are valets! They do no work. Pass trash that has been sitting by the NASTY NON FUNCTIONAL GRILLs for over a month! The property manager nor staff give 2 farts about this community and the people who pay OVERPRICED rent. Offer something that is worth living here for outside of the COLUMBIA location.

If you are looking for a comfortable and beautiful apartment and safe and peaceful place to live with excellent management and fun community activities and gatherings than Popular Glen is the place to consider.

I had a wonderful experience living at Poplar Glen. The community is well-maintained, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The maintenance team, in particular, was exceptional. They were always responsive and ensuring that everything was taken care of promptly. I highly recommend Poplar Glen to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to live!

This community incentivizes tenants for reviews. Since move in various ongoing pest issues, water leaks, etc. Management is an utter disaster to say the least. If searching, look elsewhere.

The trails around the apt make this place seem magical. However, when dealing with billing or front office, it brings me back to a harsh reality. 4 months of being moved in, I just got my first water bill... along with no explanation. It's been a roller-coaster for sure. I wish there was more communication with the bill, because this is honestly a great apt to live in.

Maintenance requests are handled very quickly. Management staff is courteous and responsive. Only negative is that sounds tend to echo in the building lobbies, so it can be noisy at times.

Poplar glen is a BEAUTIFUL apartment complex. It’s proven to be a great first home for my partner and I. The walking trail behind the complex is amazing and the people in the leasing office work hard to make sure you enjoy your time here.

This is a great place to live. The community staff are all fantastic and the residents are all very courteous with each other. I’m so happy that with all the choices in Columbia I picked Poplar Glen. It’s clean, affordable, and close to my family - couldn’t ask for more!

Very quiet well kept apartment complex very professional sfaff

Poplar Glen is a great apartment complex; the location is excellent and the staff members are professional and personable. I love my apartment layout. It’s easy to have a dog; there are plenty of waste disposal spots with the pick-up bags throughout the community. Also, maintenance response timely to request.

My lease ended February 15th, it is now April 13th (58 days later) and I have still not had my deposit returned. This property is managed by Greystar Worldwide, LLC. My emails have all been ignored, even though property management has acknowledged them in person. I sent a letter of demand via certified mail to the Greystar office listed on my lease, which is now vacant, and to the office in Arlington. The letter included my email and return address, no attempts have been made to contact me since it was delivered. Deposits are supposed to be returned within 45 days of the end of the lease and this has obviously not happened. I guess there is a reason why Greystar is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau

We are very well taken care of here. It has been a great place to live. Requests are handled right away, and everyone is super to work with. Connie

I really enjoy living at Poplar Glen. It is a safe, wonderfully located, clean and quiet community. Everything is closely located, the Columbia Mall, Howard Community College, Howard County Hospital of John Hopkins, doctors' offices, various dining venues. and some of the best schools in the nation. In real estate location is key but so are safety and other factors I feel that Poplar Glen offers not only safety but a clean and quiet atmosphere, Rory does an excellent job of maintaining the grounds, he doesn't let a scrap of paper stay on the ground, Our local police sometime patrol the area, which adds to my comfort level. If one chooses to live at Poplar Glen and become part of the community, it is a choice well made.

Poplar Glen is a 5 STAR Apartment homes they care apartments are very well kept inside and out . The community is great the landscaping is kept up and the hallways are always clean . Having a superb Manager and Assistant Manager and a great maintenance team and housekeeping team means a lot . After work I love to come home, and that means a lot, to a peaceful community. Great job Ms Davis and Candice . 5 Star to all.

The foundation of any apartment complex is the manager and the assistant manager both Ms Davis and Ms Candice do a excellent job and the maintenance is also great when you have a great team that is what makes a great complex .This is the BEST Apartment Homes I have lived in. Yes, this is a good place to live. Staff is friendly and will help assist you. The room are nice side. You can bring your dog if you have one.

Popular Glen is ok. Been though a lot of management. 15 years I have been here but it’s affordable, and close to all my needs. Just don’t like Oct and Nov because I have ri pay rent for extra visitors ( mice)

The Maintenance Team at Poplar Glen in my experience is very effective, quick, and professional in repairs, service emergencies and keeping the grounds clean and litter free. This really enhances living quality at Poplar Glen. The is Poplar Glen community is quiet, comfortable, safe, clean and a great place to call home for those of us who call it home.

Overall the complex is very good. Excellent location. Immediate access to walking paths. Maintenance crew is the best!

POPLAR GLEN is a nice place to live. If you have pets you can bring with you. The rooms are large. The outside is Clean. It a basketball court. Also staffs is friendly and can assist you .
