Poplar Place Townhomes

It was an overall decent stay until I moved into my 3 bedroom apartment. Yolanda moved me in knowing it was roach infested, when I asked to move she wouldn’t accommodate me. Pest control doesn’t come regularly and that’s a problem because I have children. A lot of holes in hard to reach areas so insects are getting into the home. Rent is far way to high for the quality of these apartments.

Riverdale School does not belong to Shlpy district where the apartments located, it belongs to Germantown district. They add extra $90 dollars on the rent, they told me about it on the moving day.

The living space of these apartment homes are very generous. The space in each bedroom could easily be divided into another bedroom. Some negatives would be these units are old and the upkeep has not been the best and it really shows. I would hope that in the future they would find qualified contractors.

I enjoy being close to all of the stores and restaurants

Poplar place is simply NOT the place to stay if you’re looking for apartments with staff that care. I’d recommend looking elsewhere for housing.

Maintenance is a dream, responsive and professional. Management lacks.

Poplar place has the potential to be a great place to stay if they would fix up and maintain their property.

Poplar Place is a wonderful place to live. The residents are friendly. The staff is responsive and courteous. The location is close to grocery store and eateries. Great location.

Do not move here. First appearance is not what it seems. Moved there from out of town with a child, and could not give me paperwork to enroll child in school. Apartment was not clean when I received keys and any issue requiring office staff support was unnecessarily contentious due to their unprofessional behavior. Good luck going over their heads because upper management never ever answers the phone or return calls. I am so happy to be away. Communication from staff was always insulting. I felt like I was in jail or as if they were paying my rent (which wasn’t the case). No procedure for move out. Last day of my lease office was closed (Saturday). I am happy to be gone.

My experience here so far has been overall good. I haven’t had any problems. I’ve been at Poplar Place almost a year and so far no major complaints. Biggest complaints is the garbage that people are not placing in the garbage but rather around the garbage on the ground. Very unsightly and nasty. Makes the community looks trashy and unkept.

Been here for a month now and so far so good. Quiet and very convenient location.

I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone. It's been a nightmare renting here. Just in the last 3 weeks one of my vehicles has been stolen OFF THE PROPERTY and just this past weekend my other vehicle was broken into and they tore out the steering column in an attempt to steal it. Does the property manager say anything? Of course not. There are dangling tree branches over the property and with the high wind storms we've been having youd think they would cut these down to avoid property damage but nope.

You can’t beat the location of this townhome community, close to shopping, nearby hospitals, and a plethora of restaurants. The townhome themselves are older, but still very nice with an awesome, and very responsive maintenance team who are professional, and do a great job cleaning their work area. My experience with the property managers Yolanda and Thelma has been great with them responding and addressing my questions, and concerns immediately. The community itself is quiet, with friendly families. I highly recommend these apartments.

Poplar place apartment homes are truly a great place to live. Management and Maintenance workers are kind and respectful. Our area is quiet and well kept.

So much trash everywhere all the time. There are still cars parked in the lot that don't move, so many don't have stickers. My car was towed for not having one, but I guess all rules don't apply to everyone!!!!!

My husband and I have enjoyed living here and find it most peaceful. They are well kept and take the concerns of the residents to heart.

We love living here so far! Everyone is extremely nice & welcoming! The townhome exceeded our expectations! The management team goes above & beyond with answering questions, tours, and getting you into your new home.

Poplar Place is pretty spacious & the area is great. Unfortunately, my reason for not renewing my lease has a lot to do with leasing management. Yolanda is not personable at all she is NEVER in office. I have dropped in on multiple days, I am unable to get her on the phone, the one time I did catch her by phone she ensured me that she would follow up by phone or email regarding my questions & concerns. Concerns that I felt could be resolved with maintenance, but I didn't seem to be a priority as a tenant, so I refused to renew. When we finally had the chance to speak her attitude was nasty and she did not want to take accountability for the lack of communication or the duties of maintenance. Please get some order in the office!

Great area to live. The apartments are spacious and very nice. Grounds are well kept. I can definitely see why people have lived there for years.

The location is great, very convenient. My floorplan is spacious and open, which is great for large furniture.

The area is well served, close to shopping centers, grocery stores, restaurants, parks. The compound is well taken care of. The apartment is nice, though not fully renovated but it does the function, apparently it wasn’t checked before giving me the keys but most of the issues were fixed after notifying them about it. Maintenance team are very responsive. I recommend this place.

I like the community in which I live, the only concern is parking. Most tenants are a 2 car family, but we have a resident that have 4 cars which occupies 4 spaces. This make you scramble for parking spaces. I do however understand you can park almost anywhere, but I’m a single resident, I leave early in the morning for my job. I feel safer parking close to my apartment as I can based on my safety. Another thing is the cats that are out loose. I’m sorta afraid of cats they keep me on my toes. But I love the quietness and the cleanliness of the grounds. The office staff is professional as well as the other staff. I’m loving where I live so far!

I enjoy living in this relaxing atmosphere apartments, everything is convenient, and office management helps when needed.

Staff is pleasant. But often at odds pr tension when adverse situations arise amongst themselves. But they often shy away conflict or difficult situations.

This apartment is spacious. Having two master bedrooms upstairs is ideal.

Happy to live here, signing a new lease soon! 6 years strong!

My husband and I have really enjoyed the years we've lived here. Its quiet, very well maintained and the office managers are so kind and professional. If there are any problems we haven't heard or observed any.

I would not recommend living here until they renovate all the units and obtain new management. I am a tenant that does pay electronically every month so Im not disgruntled... unfortunately I have found out that the property is not kept up inside or outside as it should be.

To whom it may concern, Poplar Place apts. Homes are a wonderful place to live and most of all to call home. You will not be treated impartially or like an address. Home is what you make it and living here is easy. The welcome never runs out. What ever the need the have your back. Choose here, you'll be glad you did.

Its affordable and in a great location but there are serious questions about the safety of the units.

I really like it here! It has a great atmosphere for being outside, exercising, and moving throughout the complex. I always feel like I meet a new family or resident when I leave my home and everyone is so friendly! It feels safe and theyre really great homes to start out in!

This is truly the right choice and a one stop community to call home. HOME is what you make it, but here a Poplar Place apt HOMES it's so easy. It's beautiful , peaceful andwell keep. The manger and office personnel make you feel that they appreciate your choice to live here. I'll defend them with all my heart if I had to, but i never here complaints!

Overall, I would not give this community a good review. The positives of living here is the convenient location, it can be relatively quiet unless you have loud neighbors who play music on their porch all night, and maintenance usually responds very quickly to fix things. Other than that, Poplar Place has serious issues. There is trash and litter everywhere, the roads are an absolute mess with potholes and speed bumps that bottom out your car, there is no security (cars get broken into), the management office rarely answers the phone and never returns a voicemail or email, our unit is literally falling apart, the gutters are all broken and have trees growing out of them so you have a pond in front of your door when it rains. My rent is comparable to a luxury apartment and therefore not worth the price.

My brother visited me from Atlanta along with others from time to time and they commented on how nice and quiet it is. Also, the grounds are beautiful. This is truly a place we call home, not just our apartment you don't have to wait to move to a house to call this home. The sign says Apartment Homes and its just that .

This is a beautiful and pleasant place to live and truly call home. It's peacful and quiet. Office managers are friendly and show concren.

The floor plan I chose and was shown, is NOT the unit I was given. I was told nothing could be done. Was told that I was promised a unit; not the model I viewed & made a deposit on.

The management staff and the maintenance staff at Poplar Place Townhomes are both superb in their hospitality, responsiveness, and expertise.

I enjoy living here because my apartment and the grounds are kept maintained.I'm a widow and it's important for me to feel safe,I can also have my dog here.living alone that's important to me.

Poplar Place Townhomes is a very lovely place to live. Its always very clean and quiet. The ladies in the leasing office are always very welcoming and professional. The maintenance crew is very professional and knowledgeable.

A good quiet place to call home and the management team is awesome

This truly is a wonderful place to live. A place where you can really call home. Some people feel that an apt. Is just somewhere to sleep and change clothes, but home is what you make it and Poplar Place makes it so easy!

Poplar place overall is a good place to live I like my unit the neighbors are friendly.

As bad as it gets. The three bedroom has 4 cars the three bedroom on the other side had 2 cars and a work truck. I have a 2 bedroom and one car and can't find a place to park. I would never refer a person to move in here.
