Property Ratings at Portland Ironwood
I reached out to this complex when I was looking for a place to move. I had a nice interaction with the woman at the office. She sent me the forms to fill out to set up a tour and it wasn’t until after I completed the forms to submit that I was told I was not able to set up a tour as the property does not accept pets. I was never asked about pets on the phone and their website nor partnered advertisers indicate they do no accept pets. I was asked numerous questions about pets on the form, but it wasn’t until I was done that it kicked back saying pets are not allowed at this property. I called right back and asked about this and she confirmed that no, they do not accept pets. It was a complete waste of my time as well as their office staff’s as she had to give me much more information than I needed seeing as I have a cat, and she had to generate the electronic forms to send me. This has been brought to their attention previously and there seems to be little concern to clarify regarding their pet policy. I can’t say what it’s like to live here, but definitely don’t waste your time if you have pets.
Do not move here! We have lived here for three years for the convenience of being close to work but wish we had never moved in. 1. The management is terrible! They are not helpful at all and only want to make our lives more difficult. 2. Our car was broken into twice over three years. We have seen numerous other vehicles at the complex broken into over this time as well. The bike room was somehow "magically" broken into with no sign of forced entry. Inside job? The mailboxes were broken into and torn off the walls. It took management over a month to repair. Homeless people are outside everyday going through garbage. This place is not safe and management does nothing to help. 3. We live on the first floor and can hear everything from the upstairs unit. Sometimes full conversations. It sounds like elephants are stomping around upstairs, when in fact it is just people walking around normally. 4. At least one if not all of the 5 star reviews on google are fake reviews from apartment management. What a joke! 5. We asked to upgrade apartments when our lease was up after the second year to get a larger one with another bathroom. There were at least two of these other units available at the time. Management flat out denied us saying it was against their policy to switch from a 2x1 to a 2x2. What BS! If a larger unit is available and I want to rent it why can't I? 6. The parking spaces are extremely tight. Our car has a bunch of dings and scratches from people trying to squeeze by it and the adjacent cars and likely accidental car door openings. Believe the other poor reviews as they are true and look for another place to live!!!
Great location, and that's about it. All the appliances and most things are old and worn out and I don't think have changed since the 70s. There is no bike storage, and many stairs to climb. There used to be a wonderful onsite manager that has since been replaced by a central manager miles away. They are very difficult to get a hold of and unprofessional in returning phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner.
