Property Ratings at Portofino Apartments
My daughter and I were treated very well by the management team and enjoyed our two years living here. The grounds are beautiful, the apartment was fully remodeled and the few times we needed something fixed it was done within a few days. It’s family oriented, you will hear children playing, and that brought normalcy. Noise was not a concern in the evening. Completing upgrades seem to be a priority here, such as the laundry rooms, and they have evening security the patrols the complex. Apartment life can be invasive but I was pleased with this complex and it felt like home. Cheers to Jen the manager and her wonderful staff!!!
This apartment complex is beautiful and surrounded by greenery. I feel like no matter where your unit is located, you have a wonderful view. The management is also amazing! Jen and Maria make it a point to know who you are and to make you feel like family. I've only needed a handful of maintenance requests, and they are always done quickly and efficiently. Hugo and Mar are also very friendly! I only wish I could take them all with me in my move. I am only moving to be closer to family and because my partner got a new job further away.
I've lived here for a couple of years now and I love it here. It's in a nice area of San Jose, so for the most part it is safe and quiet. Nothing like other areas of SJ that I've lived in. They keep up the property. Never have to wait long for an maintenance issues and the maintenance guy is very nice. The office staff is friendly. Parking can be a pain sometimes but it's been like that at every place I've lived out here. Overall, I really like living here!
I'm going to star saying that my experience here hasn't be the most pleasant one, more when it comes about the laundry facility, basically you have to be ready to find 2 o more machines out of service and the rest are busy no matter what time you get there adding that if you are lucky to find one available, people comes and take out your clothes from the dryer without the cycle finish, complaint about this is wasting time and energy, adding more that they barely renew the laundry facility by the next couple days 2 laundry 2 dryers were out of service being brand new and paying more than before for the load. UPSET. Cons: all that I mention above not including the noisy the place is and the bad management. Pros: is located close to 280 which is convenient but also you would be able to hear the freeway noise. GOOD LUCK
As a former resident I live here for about 9 months rented a 2bed 2bath on the 1sr floor. All I have to say is that living here was good but not pleasant this place is very very noisy for example, you can expect car alarms blasting in the middle of the night, kids playing and you can even hear noises coming from neighbors plus there was a stinky smell of marijuana coming from the apartment next door we complaint couple of times but they didn't do anything. If you're a person who is looking for a quiet place to live this is probably not the best choice. Not to mention the lack attention to details and consideration to details such as repairs from the office manager and staff. Not worth it for what you pay.
I had lived there for a couple months at first when I got there it seems a pretty good community, but that change when I had some issues with neighbors for being smoking in the patio, I have a 3 yrs old kid with asthma which he gets worse when the smoke gets inside our windows, I've been complaining this to.the office which it seems to do nothing about it, they just brush it off like nothing happens. The problem is not only that I told them too that my husband works at night which he needs some rest during the day but he hardly gets rested for all the noise of the kids or neighbors screaming fighting all the time you can hear them even with the door and window close and last but least the cars that are parked directly behind our bedroom some if them make this huge noise like they are about to raise I know it can be pretty normal over here but I was paying a really high amount of money for all this noisy, lousy apartment and the management response is that you pay that amount because is a remodeled brand new apartment. I really got tired of that.
I have been here for 4 years now. This is a peaceful and tranquil area, close to shopping restaurants and freeways. I consider the complex a mix of families and working singles. The place has been renovated with new balconies and recreational area. The only thing missing is a grass area because of the drought. The office personnel are professional, down to earth and personable. In all a very comfortable place.
