Professional, Courteous, Efficient- a real people person, best describes our new assistant manager here at the The Russell/Portola Apartments. If there ever was a vacancy, if I could recommend for Manager, it would be Ms. Lezlie. (that is what I call her) It's unfortunate she has not been here all along but she is so well valued and appreciated. James our porter is a super star. He maintains the grounds in PURE EXCELLENCE! He is temperament is always even keeled and he is very much a man of virtue when it comes to his work. We need more Porters like him. He is a great hire. Claudio our maintenance technician is a super star. Not only is he a great person, extremely professional, timely, and a man of his word. I have had several situations that needed maintenance attention and I can always count on him in taking care of the matters. Thank you for hiring him. You'll never regret it. I speak not only on my behalf, but other tenants in the building with whom I have spoken and can attest to what I am saying. I will actually stay here NOW. Respectfully, Ms. Shirley Maxwell.

This place has been well below standard since I moved in, they waited until my move in day to tell me my unit wasn't ready and subsequently rushed the renovation so there was floor adhesive in all the corners, missing baseboards, water was not hooked up, the list could continue forever. The walls / insulation in these units is so thin you can hear your neighbors (below and on the sides) speaking at a normal volume, and obviously when they have constantly barking dogs or are fighting all the time, you'll have a front row seat willingly or not. The power bills here spike greatly because the units cant hold their temperature due to the cheap materials used to construct. The exterior of the property always has trash everywhere, outside the doors, in the alleys by the dumpsters, anywhere people who are too lazy, just throw it. People just let their dogs crap on the sidewalks and it will remain there for days/weeks. The management in this complex has always been hands off, if there's ever an issue with the common area they will blame it on the HoA and wait long beyond a reasonable amount of time to fix it, or just never fix it at all and pass the bill on to the customers, as in the case of the broken sprinkler systems wasting water. At the time of this review my *secured* gate has been open for 10 weeks straight. When it comes to issues with neighbors they will either outright lie and tell you they can't issue any warnings or just not address the issue at all and leave it up to the neighbors to go to war themselves. The only bright spot in this whole management staff is the maintenance, they are really friendly and will address your issues as fast as they can, however they are constantly undermined by the management staff, either by sending them to the wrong units or just by having two guys to service the entire complex. If you are considering moving here, PLEASE reconsider living any where else. They were just recently bought by new owners and the staff they placed isn't just incompetent, they go out of their way to make it difficult to do anything, including pay rent. If you are looking for a place that is either managed well, has a good community, or will just be worth the money in general this is not the one. . Kris, Unit 2018

These apartments are run down and have old appliances that break easily because they're all rigged. Horrible unprofessional management that ignores every request. I have now called and visited the front office for them to fix the light in my kitchen for 5 days and no one has even attempted to call me or try to fix it. Don't rent here! Save yourself the stress and your money. I myself can't wait to get put of here. This place is a joke!

So my husband and I are making our new move to Vegas. As he is about to finish his nursing school. We both decided to move back west as we previously lived in California. We were in Vegas for 4 days and on our last day we decided to take a look at a bunch of apartments. We saw 4 and The Russell was the 1st one we looked at. For some reason we keep thinking about this place. There was something about it that we really liked. From the minute that we walked in to the office. We were greeted by Rachel. She gave us a tour of the main lobby/pool and amenities. Then we walked in to the model apartment and I was speechless. Brand new everything. The grounds are well kept and it’s very secure and safe. It’s very convenient to pretty much everything. Few minutes away from downtown without the hustle and bustle. It’s very suburban. Most importantly the customer service. Words are not enough to express our thankfulness to Rachel. She worked really hard for us. She was very helpful, informative with a heart of gold. From the minute we walked in to approval. From the on point communication. We are very thankful. Highly recommended. Rachel Thank you again for everything for that amazing customer service and for being so patient with us. Chapel Hill Apartments Management Team wants you to know that we care!! We are certainly sorry to see that your stay with us appears to be ending on such a sour note. Especially, since the goal is always to provide the most enjoyable environment for everyone to call home!! It is important to know that most all apartments and property management companies, require a standard Notice to Vacate. We do our best to ensure our residents are informed both verbally and in writing to avoid any confusion. Our agreement actually has three different locations within our lease agreement which specifically outlines this responsibility; each either requiring (1) signature or (2) initials - by all lease holders. All of the policies/procedures that Chapel Hill Apartment Homes operates under, have all been crafted by our management company and are required of all AMC residents nationwide. We LOVE to offer AMAZING move in gifts, however we are only able to provide them to individuals who qualify according to the current promotion. These qualifications normally only require a "minimum - time frame," of which someone would need to "reserve a home," from the initial viewing. Chapel Hill is also proud to have an WONDERFUL maintenance team on-site 7 days a week, which includes emergency service 24 hours a day. Chapel Hill, Las Vegas! This place RECENTLY renovated all of its units. New countertops, dark wooden cabinets, new carpet, all at a competitive Vegas price. great location. Far enough away from all the hustle bustle but close enough to the necessities: Major highway 215, Walmart, Target, Smiths, Hair Salons, and Gas Stations. (Yes, hair salons are a necessity) Great staff that got to know me on a first name basis and maintenance that responds to issues timely. This is not coming from an employee, I live here. I'm a real person. It was cloudy on the blood moon. (I'm still raging over that) You wanna know what's not cloudy? The collective vision and affordable nature of Chapel Hill. Chapel Hill is quiet, has a clean and well kept pool area, fenced in dog play area and a perfect fitness room with all the essential equipment, The apartments themselves are well laid out with a very large bathroom. Close to many restaurants, stores and casinos. There is also public transportation close to the entrance.
