This place is a complete dump! The employees are switched like underwear here, I never know who even works here anymore. There is always dogs off leash that will attack your dog that’s on a leash! The management does nothing. I’ve complained and even had to call the cops when I was attacked by someone’s dogs and they still did nothing. Luxury apartments?!! NOT!

Its a pretty quiet place however, management is a downfall. They do not complete requests in a timely manner (will take up to months, still waiting on one) and sometimes they will leave a mess for you to clean up (paint spots all over the floor, we told them so then they sent someone to clean but it was just gone over with a mop and not actually cleaned off).

The new Management puts unethical charges on your file. What they are charging for rent in this place, is outrageous!! These are not luxury apartments . There are a lot of vacancies. I hear of the heatless situation they did to the tenants. They brag on their advertisement. Montana is a safe environment to live. Do not believe it. The police are always called for various negative reasons. I almost got ran over in the parking lot. Police was on a high speed chase through the parking lot. Parked care we're hit and damaged. I don't know if anyone got hurt. I no longer live there and I wouldn't recommend the Montana Apartments to a Wild Animal. My rating is a Fat 0.
I do not recommend anyone live at The Montana. When I moved out, I tried to get an answer about what remaining costs I would be billed for and what to expect with my refundable deposit. I could not get any clear information from anyone. Instead I was told that everything was sent to “accounting” to handle and that I would receive my deposit, less the remaining charges, in the mail. I called after a couple weeks and again a couple more weeks because I hadn’t received anything from them. Finally, more than a month after I moved out, I received a letter from a collections agency! Without any detailed billing from The Montana. I received nothing from them prior to this collections notice. I have repeatedly called the office and left messages but have not received any information from them. In the past, I’ve had great experiences with moving out of other apartments, and I’ve always taken care of any remaining charges. I have never been sent to collections for anything in my life. I have since learned that this is the common practice at The Montana. They will automatically send remaining costs, etc to collections, with no notice to the former resident. Horrible business practice. So disappointed in this place.

Montana is a great place to live, it's in a great location and sits in the middle of everything, 10 minutes away from Phoenix International Airport, to Dobbins Lookout at South Mountian, Mystery Castle, Ponderosa Stables, close to Food & Entertainment, and Malls.
This is by far the worst place I have ever lived. We have been here for 1 VERY LONG year and have already put in our notice 90 days before we have to go. Oh Boy, are we counting the days. There is trash at every single corner of the property, the apartmens are infested with large sewer roaches, and the management is poor and insincere. No matter how many condescending emails they send out, they will never be able to fix this rat's nest. Maybe it is the area, but the tenants are incredibly rude and inconsiderate. I have had MULTIPLE altercations with neighbors for simply reminding them of property rules (ie asking for dogs to be put on the leash). They have 0 security to care for the dangerous grounds, leaving tenants to litter, trespass, and vandalize. Just a few weeks ago somebody's car was SPRAYPAINTED. I would feel safer living in a WalMart parking lot. Requesting maintenance is a joke as they never get back to you. Although I will say their maintenance man is the ONE plus, he is so so kind. Please, please do not move here unless you are wanting a long and horrible stay.
Since Avenue 5 took over the property in January 2020. They have completely remodeled the units, added a dog park. Replaced half or more of the Ac units, painted the buildings. Upgraded some of the lighting. This complex now has a luxury living feel to it

The Montana is a clean and safe community. The front office and maintenance staff are both approachable and responsive. I appreciate the timely communication regarding facility changes, such as parking lot repairs and temporary amenity closures. I feel valued as a long time resident and would recommend this community to friends.

During business hours kids running around in the office as you try to pay rent and the doors are locked... y’all about unprofessional.
I’ve renewed my lease due to the friendly staff and great maintenance. Always on call. Quiet location and well kept grounds. I would recommend to anyone who loves peace... Norma and Jessica in the office are awesome??
I use to absolutely love this place until the new management team took over. D.B Chamberlin Associates LLC I went to the front desk to correct my bill because they had over charged me. I had no problem with getting it fixed and she even called me back to confirm that everything was correct....So the next day my roommate walks out of the shower and there is a maintenance man in our apartment claiming that we requested service. My roommate advised him that we did not need the service and no one requested it but he still refused to leave until he “checked”. My roommate and I were very upset and we contacted the front desk and she claimed that I came in the day before and gave her a piece of paper with a list of things that needed to be fixed in our apartment (completely false). We asked to look at the paper and compare it to the handwriting from when we signed the lease and she even agreed that it didn’t match but still stuck to her lie saying that I gave her that paper with the maintenance request. We tried to contact corporate with no response back. We spoke to the onsight manager and all she said was she will “write her up”. No one apologized. Unfortunately I am stuck here until my lease is up. But I would definitely recommend that you do not stay here. I do not trust them at all.
