Property Ratings at MAA National Landing
Great location! Close to shopping, target , Harris teeter, metro, the airport etc. Great management and maintenance team. Love it here!
Property Manager at MAA National Landing, Responded To This Review
Hello, thank you for sharing your positive experience! We hope you have a great day!
Great location and proximity to bars/restaurants etc. but dealt with a mice infestation for 8 months while living here. MAA property management did not seem to care in the slightest bit and only offered us another unit with no moving assistance/would not let us out of the lease. Ended up needing to get a lawyer involved to get us out of our lease. Multiple instances of the mice eating through clothes, pantry, pillows. Found mice droppings in our beds. I would like to add that we asked our neighbors on both sides if they were also experiencing mice issues and they both were. Do NOT move here.

Thanks for bringing this matter to our attention. We would like to get more details about this; please reach out to us at your earliest convenience at ResidentCare@maac.com and allow us 48 business hours for a response.
This is a quiet place for loving, is nice and most of the people living here is kind and respectful. The amenities are good clean and comfortable. The only thing why I give 4 stars is because if you have a maintenance problem it will take at least two weeks to be fixed
Property Manager at MAA National Landing, Responded To This Review
Hello there, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day!
You should live here if you want absolutely no sleep or peace and quiet. Around 3-5 times a month, you will be woken up in the middle of the night by fire alarms. These fire alarms are so frequent, you never know what is a test, false alarm, or an actual real one. I have had to make numerous complaints with the Arlington County Fire regarding the numerous false alarms. Oh and the leasing office allows fire pits on balconies so if you have one, they do not care about peoples health around you. They allow it. The leasing office does not care one bit about the alarms or anything. Speaking of the leasing office, if you want anything done, make sure you only talk to Dixie or call the Arlington County because they are absolutely useless and lazy. The leasing manager could care less about anything but a paycheck. The maintenance team chances so frequently, that you never know who you will get. Plus don’t you dare ask for them to come after hours because that won’t happen. I had no heat for days because they refused to come after 5pm. To add more information, make sure you write every single problem down when you first move in because they do not do walk throughs before you move in. My apartment was a complete mess. Refrigerator not on, toilet not working, kitchen drawls not opening, dishwasher not screwed in, laundry doors falling off, bedroom closet mirror doors falling off and so on. Additionally, be prepared for package nightmare, the new package lockers aren’t used enough so who knows where your packages end up. Elevators always break. Parking garage gates always break. When the time comes around to renew, expect a huge increase. Mine went up $500 which even if it didn’t go up a penny I wouldn’t stay from all the fault fire equipment they have. The property manager Dahra is unprofessional, insensitive, lacks customer service skills, and blames the problem on you. So yeah great for metro access and close to DC but living here is absurd. Maybe this complex should be destroyed with the new development of Alrington. (Oh and don’t waste your time MAAC customer service on giving me your number or contact information. I have called and complained. Y’all do absolutely nothing.)

Hi, we're disappointed to hear of the negative experience you had at our location. We would like to work towards a resolution and take your time seriously, so if you are willing, please reach out to our customer care line at ResidentCare@maac.com. We will respond to your inquiry within 48 business hours. Thank you.
I've been living here for little while now. Unlike all of the other properties in the area, they don't have a 3 or 5 day grace period to pay rent. If paid after the 1st, there's a 9.95% late fee. I've never been late, but that seems unreasonable considering that it's not common. A couple of bikes (including mine) have been stolen too. There are quite a few additional fees added to your rent and renewal that don't really make sense either. Maintenance is really good though and a couple of people in the leasing office have good customer service.

We strive to provide excellent service for our residents, and we welcome the opportunity to exceed your expectations. Thank you for providing this information so we can work to improve our services. We hope to hear from you soon.
I just moved in there and I like this place so much, I like the community and I like leasing office staff all are wonderful people. However, be warned that as they said , their Corporate or Management , whoever it is not good and they would look all instance to make money out of you. My employer just charged me extra penalty, as they said the property management charged them. I just moved there 2 weeks ago, and I have never received any notification or warning that their rules are different, I have been renting in the area and grace period normally was 5th of each month, however this property grace period is on the unknown, as some of them said 2nd according to agreement, and some said 3rd according to agreement. Basically, my roommate was very much surprised too, the firs payment, and you are late, boom late payment man! I would be talking to people around here now, lets see if people have similar issues as we have .
Property Manager at MAA National Landing, Responded To This Review
Thank you for voicing your concerns over our late payment policy. We understand that unique circumstances may affect residents' ability to pay on time, and we apologize if our communication regarding terms has been unclear. However, we must enforce our rules consistently out of fairness to everyone. We would be more than happy to discuss this matter with you and your roommate in person to clear up any confusion. Please give us a call or visit our office so we can document your concerns.
The lease agreement for this apartment complex explicitly exempts the property owner/landlord from being responsible to remedy noise complaints regarding the close proximity to retail space remodeling on the lower floors. For those looking to rent here, you are on your own to contact the construction companies directly to plead your case for any noise complaints, but since these companies don't usually violate the Arlington County Noise Ordinances, it is difficult to remedy the noise problem for a length of time.
The management staff has terrible attitudes, poor communication, and awful customer service, except for Kevin he is attentive, nice and always going above and beyond to help. Do not count on the Regional manager to be helpful with any issues, he is rude and he likes to argue and debate with your concerns which is very very unprofessional. I am highly disappointed because I really did love the apartments with because the previous manager was so nice and understanding regardless of the situation she never had a bad attitude, nor would she argue with the residents. The walls are thin and you can hear stomping on top of your head, the patios are super close where if someone smokes you can smell the smoke and it gets inside your home. The outlets have shortages and they will not fix that issue. Great location but I would rather move into the surrounding apartments when my lease is up versus this apartments due to the recent change in management, the unprofessional-ism from the property manager and the regional manager , and the lack of care for the residents.

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. It's a point of pride that we hire passionate professionals who go above and beyond to serve our residents, so we take your feedback very seriously and apologize if we have fallen short of your expectations. Rest assured that we will evaluate the situation to determine whether we need to retrain our team. In the meantime, please call 866-620-1130 with any additional questions or concerns you may have.
For the price you pay to live here, you wouldnt expect that the walls and floors would be so thin that you could hear everything your neighbors do. Worse yet, several months of documented complaints later, its same old, same old. I wouldnt recommend living here if you want peace and quiet.
Property Manager at MAA National Landing, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about the intolerable noise you have been experiencing and sincerely apologize if our response thus far has been delayed or insufficient. Your comfort is our priority, so please call us at 866-620-1130 at your earliest convenience. We are committed to resolving this issue in a timely fashion.
OK location, terrible company. Since being acquired by MAA, fees have increased, rents have increased, services, such as package signing and a staffed mailroom, have decreased or ended entirely. They will offer no flexibility around your move and demand sixty days notice. If you are not careful about notice, MAA will charge you at a daily rate of approximately 163% of the usual price of a given unit. There are too many tourists, the ice rink is noisy, there are dead storefronts, and cheaper groceries can be found elsewhere in Arlington.
Property Manager at MAA National Landing, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your assessments of our new management team. Our goal is to provide the best possible service and amenities for our residents. That said, we appreciate your patience during this transition, as we work to ensure our staff meets our high standards. We apologize for any instances where you feel we have fallen short of expectations and we're determined to make it right. If you would like to talk to a member of our team about this issue, please call us at 866-620-1130.
The best location in Pentagon City - live next to the metro, bus stops, shopping mall, The Pentagon, and all the shops, restaurants imaginable, including a 24-hour full service grocery store. The area is very clean and safe to live. The management is very nice and responsive. The building is always kept clean and all my maintenace request have been resolved if not the same day, in less than 24-hours. All of the amenities are kept in clean/working conditions, the indoor is open year round. Post at Row is a great community with year round outdoor activities like summer concerts in the town square or ice-skating rink during the winter.
My girlfriend and I recently moved into Post Pentagon Row. The leasing staff have been incredible to work with. Jay and Renee have worked with us over the course of several months to find an apartment that's right for us, and we did! The complex is nicely maintained, clean, and quiet. Covered parking with no trouble finding spaces in the evening. Great amenities like a 24 hour fitness center, indoor pool, party room, and sun deck. The complex is practically right above the Pentagon City metro so the location can't be beat. Our apartment has great appliances, plenty of natural light, and they are letting us paint. We couldn't be happier.
The building has a small gym, which is not too busy, and a swimming pool. I don't use the pool too much, so I would prefer to pay less if I don't use certain amenities. There is no off-street parking, so I have to park my car in the garage - which of course costs extra money. My electric and water bills are rather low, apparently due to energy- and water-saving appliances. The building is very quiet, so I don't hear my neighbors. The building is very close to the metro stop, which is great - when it's raining outside, I can walk to the metro through the garage, without getting wet. There are several restaurants and a shopping mall literally 3 minutes walk away. The staff is helpful and very friendly, and very responsive. That said, I haven't had things break down or any other issues like that, so in terms of the quality of the appliances, I've been pretty happy. There is a grocery store in the building and two drug stores are five minutes walk away - very helpful. A Costco is in walking distance (roughly half a mile). I often see police patrol the area, so I feel very safe. The apartment has a balcony, which is enclosed from all sides, so that very little light reaches the living room. The living room only has the door to the balcony and no additional windows, so it's fairly dark. The walls are also painted a shade of greige, which makes the apartment even less light. That said, the bedroom has a window and is sunny all day. The apartment is carpeted, though I would prefer hardwood floors because of allergies. The kitchen is not updated, but it is white, so it helps to make the apartment a little lighter. The plus is the washer-dryer inside the apartment, and the living room is large enough for a large dining table.
I will be moving into Post Pentagon Row in a few weeks and I have never been so impressed with an apartment building and their staff. I am moving from out of state and Renee from management has been so accommodating from all my random questions to explaining all the great features of this apartment. The metro is only steps away eliminating the need for me to have to drive, and the apartment even has garage parking so that I can store my car out of the elements. Every store that I need is either below me or in the Pentagon City Mall! It will be a culture shock for me to move from NC to VA but I'm sure I will be just fine in this great area!
I moved into this property a year ago because of the location, amenities, space, and of course, metro access. Having moved from Los Angeles to DC, I was excited to be in a city where the metro is actually useful. I was also anxious about the snow. I picked this neighborhood with the image of snow storms in mind: "how will I not die of boredom during winter?" There is an Irish Pub with a fireplace that stays open during the storms, an ice rink, and a 24 hour grocery store, all steps from my door. For less than $2000/month, I enjoy all of these perks as well as 700 square feet of space to myself that I will always cherish as my first apartment with no roommates. My office is in Herndon and many of my meetings are in DC, so this neighborhood was a perfect middle point. I don't feel too far out of the city, but I can sleep with my windows open at night without all of those city sounds. The building is clean and quiet, with a small gym and indoor pool. I recommend Post Pentagon Row as a great spot for a young professional who spends most of their time in DC but is looking for a little more space.
The floor plans are spacious and very well maintained. Maintenance is very helpful and professional.
