The parking spaces at MAA Worthington are extremely narrow with a lack of room for all tenants when accounting for large trucks that need spaces. The building allows a towing company to come and tow cars on a nightly basis if you are over the line by a small fraction. I have been towed twice and everyone I know in the building has been towed at least once. I am sure the towing companies pays MAA a fee to be able to come tow their tenants so frequently. In addition to this, they lose packages regularly. Two weeks ago they lost a package of mine with over $1,500 worth of valuables. You will find better amenitities elsewhere.

I have lived in MAA Worthington for two years. The parking spaces are extremely tight (you will have to squeeze into your car) and people always park over the lines.. it's a nightmare, they tow cars frequently too. The gate is also always broken to get in/out of garage. For the entire time I've lived here, elevators break weekly, sometimes only one working at a time, which is such a pain if living on a higher floor. The biggest downside to living here is the crime on McKinney Avenue, all week you will here street racing, gun shots and people outside, no matter the day or time. Although, it is relatively safe during the day I would stay inside from 11 pm-5 am. The building offers zero security unlike other buildings nearby. Doors are often left unlocked too, I have called the police numerous times to notify them of guns going off, people sleeping inside the stairways and parking garage. In my time living here I have witnessed multiple accidents (caused by drunk drivers and road rage). It's sad the area has gone so downhill but this complex does nothing to protect it's residents. When notifying the management team of any issue they constantly have an attitude and only care about getting your money. One positive experience has been the maintenance team who for me personally have been attentive and kind. Everything else about this complex is garbage, the trash rooms are always overfilled and the hallways are dirty and smell. MAA charges an absurd amount and offers nothing but bad service. LOOK ELSEWHERE!

I am currently a resident at Post Worthington and I have been here for a few months. 1. The entire complex has a funky smell. 2. The sky lounge is never open. So just assume it does not exist. 3. They charge you a $30 convenience fee to pay your rent. 4. There was only 10 parking spots for guest when I got here. Which is a joke. Then to make it worse, they got ride of 5 of them. They did not tell us they were going to get ride of them nor did they even bother to provide a solution.

Just moved here 10 days ago and would like to share my experience with anyone considering moving to this building. The initial process with the Leasing Office Staff was very pleasant. However, once you sign the paperwork and move in, they have a management office in the building that you have to deal with from here on. Issue 1: Moving my furniture was a hassle. I reserved the elevator and when I brought my furniture, I was told that they couldn't find my reservation and that was that. They offered no further help; I was on my own. Issue 2: they tell you that they will fix anything that needs to be fixed within 24 hours. 11 days later, I still had my bathroom sinks leaking water, AC not working, Window and Kitchen Cabinet door broken among other things. Issue 3: when I went to the management office to ask for a timeline, I discovered that none of the issues above are the real problem, the real problem as you will discover if you ever move here, is the rude, incompetent, uncaring and dismissive office staff. I don't want to generalize so I will mention that the person I spoke with was the Assistant Manager, who lacked professionalism and basic communication skills. Rolling her eyes at me and telling that this was not her problem, it's a maintenance problem. Offered no help whatsoever except make me feel like I'm not worth her precious time. I have lot more to say but I will conclude with, if you're looking to move into this building, I highly recommend that you pay a visit to the management office, ask a few questions (if you find anyone there) and see for yourself. It's worth knowing what and who you will be dealing with. In the short time I've been here, I have heard other people share similar stories. Also, keep in mind that they have a broken elevator that has not been fixed for over a month now and when asked, I was told they ordered a piece for it. A button piece does not take over a month to arrive. Huge inconvenience to everyone who lives in the 5th floor. I really hope this helps future residents as well as the management office. My feedback is work on your communication, be polite, show empathy, and try to do your job.

Management is horrible. They do not wish to help with issues. They assure fixing them within 24 hours but have not completed any of the issues. Its been day 6 since issues have been reported and still no fixes for any of them. The worse part is that there is zero motivation from management to get the issues resolved. The people inside the management office just do not care to fix any of the problems. The worse part is the attitude in trying to fix anything. Its nothing but "uh huh" and "okays" from them with an attitude as they provide zero information about what will be done. If you plan on moving in just be ready for nothing being done by management to fix any issues you have.

The Post Worthington wasn't a bad apartment to have and if you can get a good deal on rent it is absolutely worth it, but be careful. Post/MAA does not care at all about you and will jack your rent up 14% if they can just because the market has shifted. So far they have been unwilling to move on the $170/month increase. That said, here are some of the pros and cons of living at this complex. Pros: Close to everything in Uptown, Downtown, Oak Lawn, and Deep Ellum Relatively updated finishes in apartment Property staff respond quickly to maintenance requests Nice pool area Community printer in business center Gated parking in Uptown Cons: Noise level in surrounding area and from residents. Many residents forget people live here and come off the elevators at 1AM yelling as if they were still out partying Building gets dirty on the weekends Computers in business center aren't useable for more than basic web browsing After hours emergency maintenance/office number takes 15 minutes to answer Parking spaces in garage are very tight and if you come home late it's difficult to find parking Overall my experience at Post/MAA has not been bad, but if I knew that I was going to have my rent increased by almost 15% and had to deal with the noise level in this building I would not have picked this apartment. For what Post is charging for a 1/1 you can find a nicer apartment in uptown that's slightly quieter.

Aside from the very noisy environment, the location is great if you can get past the street noise at night. The parking is dangerous. The spaces are too narrow and it is likely that your car (even compact size) will get dinged up. It is difficult for two cars to pass in the garage because it too is very narrow, I'm surprised there have not been more accidents. It is almost impossible to have visitors as there are approximately 15 visitor parking spaces, they are small and difficult to get in and out of also. The visitor parking spaces are filled with long term residents mostly as they are hardly ever available. The elevators are extremely slow and often times "out of order". The building has a moldy smell to it which house keeping attempts to mask with fresheners. The trash chute area is small and has a timer on the light so that if it takes you more than 10 seconds to force your trash bag into the tny chute, the lights will go out. There are better apartments in the area.....
Let's face it... this apartment is on McKinney and packed with mostly young professionals. Lots of noise, late night activity, and a pool area that gets packed on the weekends. As I am a single 25 young professional with a passion for nightlife and social activities, I enjoy this place thoroughly. However, I can see how it would be annoying for people in other stages of life or people with more reserved demeanors. The building looks great inside and out. It is very luxurious. The catch side is that it is old and some parts may seem a little dilapidated.
