Located in Stamford's South End district, Harbor Point is a beautiful waterfront neighborhood along Long Island Sound. In addition to Harbor Point's apartment communities, this mixed-use area features restaurants, shops, office space, a boardwalk, several parks, and a variety of marinas. South End features a large historic district, and some of Harbor Point is included. The district, which dates back t0 1868, includes nearly 450 buildings.
Harbor Point is a terrific Stamford neighborhood. It is only about a five-minute walk to the Stamford Transportation Center, one of the city's largest railroad stations. The peninsula borders I-95 along the north side, and the vast and beautiful Kosciuszko Park occupies the southern tip of Harbor Point. This seven-acre, waterfront park includes ball fields, a playground, walking trails, and picnic areas.

The whole reason we chose Postmark was their amenities. Don’t get me wrong, our apartment itself is beautiful and it’s going to be so hard moving out and leaving behind wall-to-ceiling windows. But for the amount that we pay in rent and amenities, I’m so disappointed and angry. Yes, it’s COVID, and yes, that has made things challenging. But it’s now been a year and a half since the pandemic started and NO improvements in our amenity situation. Things are broken or not working well, no umbrellas or cabana shade at the pool as pictured on their website, the leasing office is inappropriately charging us monthly saying our renter’s insurance isn’t up to date despite this being false, and overall lack of consistency and proactive-ness on the part of the leasing office. Other residents are clearly upset as well because someone posted signs all over the building point out these same issues.

If you're looking for your next apartment - do yourself a favor, live somewhere else. This place is a nightmare. Individually the leasing office staff are very polite, courteous, professional. They’re a pleasure to work with, honestly. But as a collective whole, the office is a complete dumpster fire, sitting on train tracks, about to be hit by a train – that’s hauling flaming dumpsters. Absolutely incompetent. As a collective unit, the office is unable to tell its right hand from its left. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s actually impressive. After I felt (...somewhat) better following my conversation with the property manager, Garrett, I didn't believe I'd experience even lower levels of abject hopelessness from the office. But, the people who don't get it, don't get that they don't get it. And the circus continues. I don’t like to leave bad reviews, preferring instead to speak to people and handle the situation like adults. So that’s exactly what I did, and I’d like to thank Garrett for taking the time to speak with me the other week. Was very professional and I appreciated his listening to my situation. However, after recent, continued challenges, I’m unable to not leave a review. So Garrett's going to leave a comment below explaining how they strive to provide quality service, etc., and I should reach out. But that's the point - I already tried that, we've been there. Sorry, you guys had your chance. Unfortunately, at this point I’m unable to recommend Postmark – and by extension Cushman and Wakefield – to anyone searching for their next place to call home. The leasing office, completely on its own, makes it not worth it to live here. Prospective tenants reading this review – have some respect for yourself. Live someplace else. Wish I could.

This is a great unit and building and very well maintained. My only real complaint is that the front desk staff are pretty rude and unhelpful.

The apartments are bright, clean, and laid out well (though a little more closet space would have been good). We enjoy how large the balconies are. Inside the apartment and in the building it is very quiet, which we like. We haven't really had a chance to try out the amenities, but they seem nice. We also like that the recycling is emptied in a timely manner and rarely is overflowing.

Overall we love our unit, the building amenities are good, the location is great, and the other residents. Cons- the elevator is a disgrace, the gym equipment is not maintained, concierge issues mentioned above, issues with inaccurate billing from the leasing office, a printer in the common room/more business amenities would be helpful.

I would recommend the apartment community because the outdoor areas and pool are very nice, the apartments themselves are nicely laid out and the balconies are spacious. The units are beginning to look a bit dated but still acceptable for now. The common areas are mostly maintained and up to date with the exception of the gym.

I would definitely recommend postmark apartments I think out of all of the apartments at Harbor point I think postmark was the best of course I didn't live in any of the others but when I did visit the other sites I felt like postmark was the best designed the best comfort level the best personnel that were accessible. It was an excellent set up. If possible in the future I would reapply.

I was not planning on leaving a negative review, until recent events that have left me with no choice. TLDR: I would never recommend a friend or family member live here. Their management office is completely incompetent and the building is not well constructed. I'll start with the building details, since as a frequent renter I know that's typically of the most interest: From and apartment standpoint - the finishes are fine but the quality is lacking. Examples: 1) The windows are cheap, I'm a heavy sleeper and I was woken up numerous times throughout the night from windows rattling in the wind 2) As I'm sure you'll see in other reviews, the elevators are TERRIBLE. Expect to wait 10+ minutes 3) The gym equipment is often broken (3 of the 4 treadmills were frequently out of commission). 4) We had water leaks, broken door stops, peeling cabinet finishes, and other minor inconveniences Now to my biggest complaint, the management office accused us of not paying rent, charged us numerous late fees, refused to answer our emails or visits to their office. In more detail: Two months before moving out, we paid our rent. I received a late fee so I reached out to see why that was, they told me they had never received our rent (despite sending me a rent payment confirmation). I called my bank and my bank confirmed that the money had left and had not been returned. I sent an email to the management office detailing our payment details from my bank, attaching the confirmation email etc. Management never wrote back- I sent them 8 unanswered emails. I also visited their office 5 times. The leasing agent, who was friendly, had no power over the situation, despite telling us they would remove the late fee. When we asked to speak to the assistant property manager, he went to her office and told us "she cannot see you". Despite 5 visits, I was never able to reach them. Eventually, we gave up. We were moving out, we had paid, had proof of payment, and we figured the issue was in their hands. 1 month after moving out we received a note "I am happy to report your ledger has been fixed and your security deposit is being processed." Fast forward 10 weeks, and we received a letter that we had been sent to collections for the late fee. Despite never receiving ANYTHING from postmark saying that we had anything outstanding, after receiving a confirmation that our ledger was corrected, and after receiving our security deposit.

Theire are three issues: Garage door are always broken leaving it opened and exposed to anyone wandering in. A security car is parked outside but with no one in it. Elevator constantly has issues and this should not be the case for a newer building. Carpets needs to be replaced and touch up paint around elevator vestibules need to be tended to.

I've been here five years and this building has changed from good to neglect. The garage is dirty the carpeting is always dirty the walls are always dirty the stairwells always dirty. Just sitting in Furniture area and the 401 side mailroom has to get changed the waiting area out in the front concierge has to be changed and cleaned his smells is stained. This building has slowly gone down. There is not enough cameras or Security in this building and I feel that there is no caring and attention to the tenants needs. Taking care of paperwork in the office is a big job but taking care of the outside area also needs its attention and it has slowly gone down day by day

The only cons of Postmark are the lack/expense of reserved parking, communication lag time with the leasing office and one or two concierge agents who were unprofessional. I also had an issue with the vents in my apartment blowing out black soot, which stained some furniture, but hopefully the vent-cleaning I requested fixed that. The building, amenities, location, maintenance requests are all great.

The apartments are modern and comfortable, and the amenities like the pool are great. Also, Dakota and Marisol are standouts in their departments and improve the living experience in Postmark.

High rent and large increase for staying on month to month. Leaks in garage were never addressed. I had to walk through puddles or get dripped on most of the time in the garage.

It is a beautiful building in a pretty location. Some of the layouts are strange because you have to go into a bedroom to get to the bathroom.

Price is high. Yes, the amenities are nice, but I don't think their value comes anywhere near their price. No one actually gets their money's worth from the occasional yoga or cooking class. Also no one goes to classes in other buildings, so it's misleading to include events at Towne St. as our activities and charge for them. Things in the gym are always broken. I don't feel like the staff really listens to residents' suggestions - everyone hated the new furniture and the gym window tints (which do block the view but do not block any glare from the top of the windows). From reading the app, I know people were vocal about these issues, but management never corrected or even acknowledged them.

I would recommend the community to everyone. The service staff took slightly longer to respond than we would have hoped. Once they responded, it was handled quickly and properly.

Live at Postmark for over three years. Quality of maintenance has deteriorated over time and at times it has a frat house atmosphere with not security oversight. Price way to high to feel like a frat house.

The gym changes have been progressively worse. TRX was a nice touch, but it's hung too high to get your feet in from the ground. Glare from the unfrosted part of the windows is still an issue. I miss Donna's yoga class. The various concierges differ a lot in their speed of logging packages. Some will take 5+ hours to log a package, even if wasn't received at a busy time. Also, Christmas tree removal needs to be at LEAST a week. I don't normally get rid of my tree until the end of January.

We have lived at Postmark for 3.5 years and have seen a deterioration in the state of the facilities and increased partying and vandalism over the time at Postmark. Rather than an upscale residence it feels more like a frat house at times.

Thinking it over. You have larger floor plans than some complexes. Other complexes have solid surface floors throughout - I prefer that. The lobby music at other complexes is a little softer. The leasing agents at other complexes seemed really interested in having me rent from them at other properties and are offering incentives to encourage me to do so. I had to wait quite a while to be seen at Postmark even though I had an appointment. My follow up request by phone did not get a response. When I came by without an appointment to pick up floor plan copies, I had to wait in the lobby for a long time again. I have been to 7 complexes in Stamford and was able to start my appointment on time at all other developments.

Would absolutely recommend this apartment community to anyone in the Stamford area. The building is fairly new and well maintained, the amenities are a huge benefit and convenience. Leasing office and staff are always friendly and responsive. Move in and Move out is very easy and reliable.
From the very beginning we felt like we made the right choice. We love living here! Especially in the summer. The grounds are kept up nicely and the vibe is warm and positive always. Any issues that may have risen were dealt with immediately! We are happy all around.
I definitely would! We actually have ! Why wouldn?t I !? Everyone is so welcoming, and so helpful! All the amenities are top notch and always upgrading providing every cent worth! Commons park is our children & our fur baby back yard , social life is perfect for date nights. Leasing agents such as Mario have been helping from day 1 when we came to just get a tour! We looking forward of renewing!
I would recommend the apt community because of all the amenities, the neighborhood, its close to the metro-north and the rent is based on your income.
Brooke was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was able to find units that fit our needs/budget.

While the screen door was put back on track, it still wouldn?t slide closed and has fallen back off. We need to put in another request. However they were very quick to respond!

The dog situation in this building is out of control. I am constantly finding dog pee in the passenger elevator of 301 or on the carpets in the hallway. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally stepped in it or rolled my stroller through it. Same thing for the park outside. It feels like a community of people with dogs and maybe if I had a dog I wouldn't mind as much.

Although we are a pet friendly community, our residents unfortunately don't always curb their pet's appropriately as with many rentable communities. In response to resident concerns, we have replaced all carpets in elevators to a luxury vinyl tile, we've also replaced multiple elevator landings to luxury vinyl tile, making for quick and easy clean ups. Our community has also increased our porter team coverage. Our community has a team of 4 porters 7 days a week, walking hallways, stairwells, and our common area space. We've also reported to Building and Land Technology, the Association that manages Harbor Point about dog droppings in and around the park. Our team has noticed a huge improvement with dog curbing, accident clean up, and our team will ensure the progress continues. Thank you again for your feedback.
