Nestled in Mission Valley, Grantville is a scenic neighborhood about nine miles northeast of Downtown San Diego. Property Ratings at Prado
A constant shutdown of water several times a week. Often non-working washing machines and dryers. All equipments in the gym are broken. Very noisy neighbors and very thin walls, it is impossible to sleep here at night. Terrible parking. Management will ignore your complaints and requests. Very old appliance. Maintenance is almost non-existent, we submit requests for water leaks, and they were not fulfilled in 3 months. Nobody even contacted us.

This is an old building that gets re-painted and cleaned for new residents to move into. So, it's really a patch up job. Don't expect a modern home or appliances. I'm assuming the pictures on the website are pictures from when the building was first built. There was water leaking from my bathroom ceiling due to my up stair neighbors taking a bath. Water was leaking from the ceiling where the lights are. I'm not sure if this has to do with the foundation of the building and not even sure how that was possible. But I had to get a bucket to hold the water until my neighbors cleaned up their spilled up upstairs. My hubcaps were stolen from my car and both license plates were stolen as well (different incidents). I was told by the leasing office that cars parked under the building is not a good location and that this happens a lot. So if you move here, make sure to choose the parking spots that are not covered/ under the building. Police reports have been made and no other assistance. They use to have a security patrol. but the complex has gone through 3 different companies so far and none have lasted. I'm unsure what the reason is. The laundry machines are always broken and you will have to call to report it. Clothes are always wet from the washers or your clothes won't dry on the first round. The facility updated how they want your renters insurance policy. You need to add the Property name/ address (Conam/ PO Box #) and upload it to a certain website only. (For residents that are not tech savvy - you're in for a run) I had the apt name but was missing the address so I ended up uploading it after the "deadline". The complex charged me a $25 fee. I pay for my renters insurance annually so it wasn't because I relapse on my policy. It was because I didn't have the PO Box number. I called the leasing office to have it waive since I am a long term resident and always pay rent on time or even before the 1st of the month. But she told me there's nothing she can do about it and charge is valid. I honestly think that's not right. Charge me if I am late or charge me if my policy relapse or I don't have a renters insurance policy. But don't charge me if my renter's insurance was missing Conam's PO Box # which caused the first set of documents to get kick back for that reason. Rent keeps going up every year and the place is no longer worth what I am paying now. Location is great and price was reasonable when I first moved in.

This location is definitely at the top of my list, if considering visiting definitely talk to Karina she was awesome, helpful and informative.
Has beautiful courtyard but not inside the apartment unit. and it lacks upgrades of all kinds. It looks pretty in the pictures but beware once you move in. I won't recommend this place

I'm resident of prado home apartment. Here is real experience that I been through. This water sink in my bath room is stucked about 17 days ago. I notice the apartment two weeks ago and now the problem is still, they didn't even send someone to check it. I notice the office several either by email or go to their office. So it can't be that they didn't know. Now it fill with this ugly water with awful smell. So if you plan to live here, keep this in mind.
This complex is perfect for me. Every one has different needs but you can't beat the location. The location is in Mission Valley, close to freeways, grocery stores, EVERYTHING! The courtyard is landscaped well, there is 2 pools to share, the 'gym' is okay, and parking is fine (no guest parking!). Also, the water gets shut off at least twice a month for 'plumbing repairs.' It is a very quiet complex and I have really nice neighbors. HOWEVER, if you need something from management, do it yourselves. There is so much miscommunication between residents and management that it is ridiculous. Oh and be prepared to be treated like a child and be talked down to by those ladies in the office (Especially Autumn).
It is in a good location, pretty centrally located to everything and everyone. It's quiet enough to where you can get some rest, yet there are plenty of things to get out and do without having to travel too far.
this building has a beautiful courtyard and spacious floor plans, however it lacks upgrades of all kinds. The maintenance team is great now, it's just a really old building with no upgrades.
Complex is conveniently located near the freeway making the need to get anywhere easy. Great restaurants, pubs, markets you name it, are just down the street. The complex itself is always beautifully maintained and the pools are always cleaned regularly. Staff is always helpful and friendly. The rent you can’t beat it compared to others in the area, apartments are very spacious, and to be honest I could enjoy my patio all day long. Overall I’m very satisfied with this complex and it was worth the move.
