Property Ratings at Prairie Hills
We were really excited to move in because it looked to nice but there were a few things really wrong when we moved in like the dishwasher didn't work, the door of the fridge was broken, the washing machine couldn't run a full load, and shelves in the kitchen were missing. We also found nails all throughout the apartment hidden in the carpet for months after we moved in. They said the tenant before us left it in a mess and they would fix it as soon as possible. It ended up taking them 5 months to finish fixing these issues. Everyone is required to put down a non-refundable $600 cleaning fee but then when we moved out, they charged us $426 for damages that we didn't do. They charged us to replace dirty drip pans on the stove when we bought brand new ones the day before leaving, charged us for broken blinds when the blinds were the same as when we moved in, charged us for extra carpet cleaning even tho when we moved in they said the non-refundable $600 would cover carpet cleaning when we moved out. We also rented a carpet cleaner from Lowe's and cleaned the entire apartment with it before moving. In total they charged us $1,026 in damages when we spent an entire day cleaning before we left. They said there's no way to fight these charges. Honestly, very predatory and gross behavior. Don't rent from them.

It's a nice place to live. It's pretty and quiet. The managers and maintenance people are excellent workers. I love hearing the children play at the playground and seeing people enjoying their pets.

This is a fairly quiet community, centrally located to a variety of stores. Neighbors are friendly and leasing office staff are as well.

Prairie Hills is a great community. I have never felt like there was any concerns for my safety. I work early mornings, so it's still pretty dark out when I leave. I always see security driving around the building. It's nice to know they are here watching out for our property.

I just moved in this month and love it here! It's a great location that's not too far from shopping and downtown, and the garage definitely makes me feel more secure about the car. The team at the leasing office was absolutely wonderful in answering questions back-to-back patiently and helping through the process.

I like it here a lot. The reason I chose it was it's quiet. My neighbors over the years have been wonderful about being respectful of the quiet times, which makes being home very relaxing. The office staff and maintenance staff are always cordial and helpful. I would recommend Pairie Hills as a good place to rent an apartment. It's family friendly (I love listening to the children play on the playground), and seems to have a wide diversity of people (college students to seniors), so many people must like it here.

As a single parent I have rented for the past 20 years. Prairie Hills has been the best experience I've ever had in terms of the courtesy of the staff, the response, the attention to security and the grounds and the location. The apartments are designed well. I can hear my neighbors through the walls, (TV noise and voices), that is my only criticism. It is minor compared to the rest. I love my garage. I love my balcony. I love the high ceilings. I love the hardwood floor accents and built in cabinetry.
