Property Ratings at Prairie Lakes
Great leasing team. Easy to work worth. They are having more resident events as well which I look forward to attending.

Thank you for your positive feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you find our complex nice and our team helpful. It's great to know you're excited about the upcoming resident events. We can't wait to see you there!
Nice pool, good community. Nobody picks up their dog poop. On move out, they told us we had to clean the apartment or pay $160 for their cleaning crew to clean. I followed the directions on the sheet about cleaning, even had my mother and sister help me to make sure it was spotless. They still charged me $160 to have it cleaned and said you might as well have spent the $160 to begin with because we will always charge you if you do not use our service. Super helpful that I worked for hours cleaning just to have to pay either way. Also the hard water is a nightmare at the apartment complex, it makes all of your dishes have a film as well as never feeling clean after a shower.

Thank you for sharing your appreciation for our wonderful community and great pool! We are sorry to hear that you were not pleased with your experience at move-out, and we invite you to contact us directly if you would like to discuss this matter further. In any case, we wish you all the best in your next home.
The rent has jumped significantly, they claim it's due to inflation, keeping up with rent around them. Fine. But with everyone's rent increasing, one would think amenities, maintenance, things like that would improve? Nope. These luxury prices for no luxury apartments and amenities is ridiculous. The new office manager can never be reached as she's perpetually in meetings. The previous managers were there to communicate with especially since we've been in a pandemic. But now? Its just a ghost of a manager with employees who don't know what else to say aside from "she's in a meeting I'm sorry". There's no life guard for the pool and kids are left to run amuck on one another. It's the wild west but with luxury pricing. It's not helpful during these really hard times.
I didn’t have any bad experience while living there (besides hearing everything - the stomping upstairs and happy dogs downstairs) But I have been very upset with how unprofessional they handled the move out process. A month and a half after my lease end date, I got a letter from a collection agency saying I hadn’t paid charges to Prairie Lakes. I never even received notice from the office that I had move out charges. I’ve been reaching out multiple times a week for a month to try to learn why I was charged, but they have yet to give an answer on the reason and keep saying they are reviewing and contact me. They tell me that they’ve let the property manager know and will let me know when she responds because she’s not in the office. She’s “never” been there when I call and then I never hear back without me reaching out again. Their move out sheet says to make sure the apartment is cleaned and the carpet is cleaned, and they offer a “hassle free” option - to have a professional clean for a fee. I decided to clean it myself but then was still charged a fee for the carpet cleaning and apartment cleaning. All I’ve been told was that there may have been a fee because it was not professionally done, but their letter never stated it had to be professionally done. I would have just paid to have them clean it and not spend hours cleaning it myself if I knew they were just going to charge me anyway.
very satisfied with my apartment I am happy here the only detail is the downstairs neighbor who hits the ceiling every day every time the children play. I don't know what to do with the neighbor.
I’ve lived in several apartment complexes and this is the first time I’ve felt like I’m in a “community.” Great staff! Maintenance issues addressed quickly. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is amazing! Join us!

The day you move out, you will be billed for something, don't matter what, they will find something to charge you.
In my time at Prairie Lakes Apartments, I have really enjoyed my stay. It's just outside of the busy metro area of Indianapolis, yet has a lot of awesome places to go close-by. The neighborhood is very calm, relaxed, and the office is always planning neighborhood parties, socials, or pizza nights at the clubhouse. The apartments are beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained, while the staff is professional, friendly, and ALWAYS available if I need anything. Maintenance has always been prompt, polite and professional. I seriously cannot think of a single negative thing about this place!
Overall my residence at Prairie Lakes has been nice. Most of the staff is very courteous and helpful. Maintenance has always fixed any issues in a timely manner and they are very friendly and respectful. The pool is luxurious and the sidewalks around the area and the grounds are always neatly maintained. Additionally the business center is very conducive for conference calls and work as not too many people make use of it. The only issues I've had are high electric bills (higher than normal for a 1-bedroom) and an unpleasant run-in with the current apartment manager, who isn't that friendly. Every other member of staff I've encountered has been incredibly personable though.
This office has lost my rent check twice in the last six months. They don't appear to be very organized. I have checked with the USPS and they say they were delivered. Be careful.
