Wyoming’s capital and most populous city, Cheyenne sits in the southeast corner of the state near the Wyoming-Colorado border. About 100 miles north of Denver, Cheyenne is the modern embodiment of the Old West spirit, with a slew of Western-themed attractions, steam engines, ranches, and museums populating the city.
Most indicative of its Old West spirit is the annual Cheyenne Frontier Days, a popular ten-day summer event full of rodeos, parades, and country music concerts and dances. Cheyenne is also home to a number of historical museums such as Wyoming State Museum, Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, Cheyenne Depot Museum, Nelson Museum of the West, and Cowgirls of the West Museum. Eight-foot tall cowboy boots are scattered throughout the city, each painted by a local artist and revealing a piece of Cheyenne’s and Wyoming’s history.

Property Manager at Prairie View, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for your review. We love having you as part of the Prairie View family and hope we continue to have the opportunity for many years to come!
I love my apartment - I've lived here for 5 years and have only had great experiences. My dogs love the dog park and have a great time playing outside there. The office and maintenance staff have great customer service and are very helpful. I particularly love the resident events the office hosts. When my mom passed away the staff went out of their way to help me transfer to another apartment. I recommend Prairie View to anyone looking for an apartment home. This is a great place to make a home and to have a nice community.
Property Manager at Prairie View, Responded To This Review
Thank you Tracy for your lovely review. We are pleased you are happy with our community and staff. We look forward to another year with you as our resident!
DO NOT MOVE HERE! The management will lie to you to get you to move in, and they will try to hold as much of your deposit as they can when you leave. Maintenance have no idea what they are doing. The plumbing is terrible. The walls are paper thin. The management is too cheap to put in insulation, so you will need thick curtains to keep the wind out. On windy days, your blinds will sway even with the doors and windows closed. There is no air conditioner, and you are allowed to get your own window units. However, what good is a window unit, if the windows do not open in the main living area of the 3 bedroom unit or they open sideways in the bedrooms. We can hear the comings and goings of our neighbors, and we can here every step our upstairs neighbors make. Even if you live in a top level apartment, there is a chance you will have to listen to your downstairs neighbor's dog bark all day long. Some of your neighbors will be illegal immigrants and felons, and none of your neighbors will be friendly. Your kids won't be able to play in the grass because of all the animal feces, despite the fact they have pet clean-up stations. I could write a whole book on why this is the worst apartment we have ever lived in, and that is saying a lot considering we have lived in some run down places. Just don't be deceived by new paint and the pretty pictures they post online.
I am very happy with the decision to move to Prairie View, excellent staff and a quick response to questions asked. I am moving in with a disabled adult and they have been more than accommodating. Looking forward to the move.
We currently live in a three bedroom two full bath apt. The bedrooms are nice and roomy. The management team are very friendly and if you have a problem they are right on top of it to make sure it is fixed. There is a little park for the kids along with barbecue grills to cook on I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to everyone.
This place is a great place to live I am a resident here and the lady we'll call ms. K. Is so very nice she has a great attitude as far as I can tell from talking to her. An the most important thing is this complex actually calls you back if they are busy when you call and explain all the details about the place to you. Great place, great people. Great management team. Glad to become a resident here. Ms. Jackson.
