Property Ratings at Prairie Walk
The office and maintenance team go out of their way to make it a great place to live. The 24 hr fitness center, playground, hiking trails, pool and close proximity to nature areas (Blue River, Indian Creek, Alex George Lake, hiking/biking trails) are awesome bonuses!

Our dedicated team will always do our best to provide you with 5-star resident care, and we're pleased to hear you enjoy calling Prairie Walk Apartment Homes your home. Thanks again for sharing your kind words; we appreciate you!
I've lived her for just around two years, and it's everything I needed in an apartment. It has so me amenities, a small pool in the summer, a small exercise room, a play-place for kids, and (if you pay for it) some covered parking. Relatively, that isn't much as far as apartment amenities go. However, it has something I greatly appreciate in abundance. Peace and quiet. It's a small little community, separated from other residential areas by a small ravine and treeline. The community is quiet and the management does not bug you often (I basically only hear from them when they're doing specials, or are changing furnace filters). If that's what you're looking for, you'll enjoy this place. It's not all perfect, of course. The maintenance is understaffed and pretty slow because of it. The apartments themselves aren't anything too special, and the public trash receptacles for animal waste go a little too long without being changed out. However, I've still enjoyed my time here.

I really like living at Prairie Walk Apartments -- Good amenities like the pool and dog-waste stations around the property. I've lived in the 1-Bdr and now live in the 2-Bdr, great value for either option! Maintenance can take a while to fulfill requests, but you'll find that just about anywhere you go. You won't find anything like it in the KC area for mix of value, space, and quiet location.

I have enjoyed my stay here at Prairies Walk. Staff is very helpful and send alerts out when necessary. I haven't had any problems with pests or anything. The price is good for what you pay for. I've only been here for about 7 months, but I'm positive this a great place to live.

I have enjoyed my stay at Prairie Walk Apartments! The apartments are quiet, clean and the neighbors are very friendly. In fact, in my nearly 3 months stay, I have met nearly everyone in my building! Everyone keeps their dogs on a leash, (and pick up after them), which is really nice as well. Prairie Walk is a great community to live in!

Overpriced and run down . I had neighbors who were obnoxious, rude and criminals. Traffic leaving apartment complex during rush hours SUCK .

I've lived at Prarie Walk for over a year, and it's been a good place to live, especially for the price. The staff has always been nice to me, and accommodated me as needed. It's usually pretty quiet, and the people seem nice. I have seen them invest into the community to keep it looking nice in an area where I've seen other complexes getting run down and really showing their age. And we have Google Fiber, which is the bomb. These are not "premium" apartments, like the newer ones I've lived in, but they're way cheaper. So, since it's older, sometimes I smell my neighbors cooking (which is often pretty good actually), and some of the kitchen appliances are a little old. But honestly I don't find it a big deal, considering the price. It's a trade off I'm happy to make. Plus, the location is great. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good apartment at a good price. It won't blow your expectations away, but it won't break the bank either.

Prairie walk apartments is a nice community with beautiful housing. We are 7 minutes away from grandview and 20 minutes from Belton. Manage is decent and works with you on rent. However, apartment life here is quiet and people can be nosy. Nice place to live for an adult or someone pretty financially stable.

Thank you for your feedback. Our staff works hard to make sure every resident has an enjoyable living experience here, and we apologize for any inconveniences you've experienced. Please contact us if you have any issues, and we will work to resolve your situation. Thank you!
This is by far the most friendly neighborhood to live in and I've even recommended this complex to friends and coworkers before. HOWEVER, the staff (Laura and Jill) are the most unprofessional professionals I have ever encountered. I recently read a review on Yelp about this apartment and it amazed me that everything the guy said was EXACTLY my experience with Prairie Walk. They pre-date anything left on your door to cover themselves and at the end of the letter they always check the box that says "personally hand delivered to home renter"; I work during the hours the office is actually open so I have NEVER received a letter personally hand delivered. That's only a small fraction of the things wrong and poorly handled about this staff. I've had mold in my dishwasher since May and no one has even bothered to at least drain the water that's just sitting in the bottom of it. The apartment itself is also falling apart. From the weak blinds, the pealing of the paint over the studs in the wall, the bleeding of the paint in the bathroom onto the floor, to the awful ant, spider and gnat problem they have; which is surprising since we are charged every month for the "so-called" pest spray the maintenance supposedly does once a month. All in all, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, and if anyone wants more info on these guys, I will gladly give it.
