Property Ratings at Preserve at Godley Station
DO NOT MOVE HERE When finding somewhere to live, this property seems appealing to the eye as it is more affordable than other options in the area, but do not make the same mistake I did. These people rarely if ever fix maintenance issues - but when they do, it's broken again shortly after. They will not even be able to give you a roundabout on when someone will be by. This is the second time in my 9 months I have lived here that the A/C has went out leaving my two dogs safety in jeopardy (have video proof of it being 90 degrees in room). If you want to be on the cusp of involving an attorney due to your living conditions, this is the place to go! You will almost surely have an issue that the complex has not and will not fix. To my fellow residents currently in the crap hole that is this property, I recommend you all file a BBB report on "Westshore Property Management"as it is the only way your voice will be heard - this place DOES NOT CARE about any of your issues. They only want your money on the 3rd of the month. STAY AWAY!!!!
I've been waiting for my A/C to be fixed for over a month and have yet to receive assistance. I put in three work tickets and even spoken with the leasing office. They expect us to pay our rent on time, but will give excuses on why it's taking so long to fix common issues. How can a property charge so much money for these apartments but have trouble finding a vendor to fix A/C units?
Been dealing with AC issues for over 3 months now ,my AC is completely broken and still hasn’t been fixed , i have had 3 maintenance guys come out and nothing has been done ,it’s been so hot in the unit lately I have had trouble sleeping or just trying to relax , it’s currently over 90 degrees outside , crazy when you pay so much money for rent but can’t be comfortable in your own apartment , would not recommend leasing here until maintenance improves, the amount of money they charge to lease here now it’s not worth it honestly , unless you like not having stuff they promise to you when you move in like basic Air conditioning in this South Georgia weather , it should be illegal to let a tenant go on over 3 months without solving the issues they are having in the apartment but let you go 3 months without paying rent you’d be evicted way before then , look elsewhere untill they can resolve their maintenance issues here in the apartments , I have over 15 tickets put in for the same AC issues, I’m currently running 4 box fans I had to go out and buy with my own money.
This place use to have set fees for trash/water, etc. We signed a new lease, here comes a new management company and right off the bat we are double charged for water then the following month they added sewer and other charges and here's a list of what we now have tacked onto our rent: conamen (assume amenties fees) 11.00 valet trash service $25 Water (ranges $18-23) Pest Control $5, service fee $5.75 Trash (fluctuates $13-15), Random trash fee $1.00 Sewer $30-37 fluctuates Does not include your electric (that's separate). Take into account that you can add another $110-$130 to your base rent with all the fees. These are not going to be listed on your lease so just a caution as we were not informed of these nor the changes/increase coming with the new management. OH and when they double charged us the office told us to check with them next time as they can't always track all accounts. Yep, what we was told. Seriously wish we had not renewed here and always people in the office complaining of extra charges as well. Keep a close eye on your totals. I don't trust this place at all.
Do not apply for this complex I promise from experience you will regret it nothing get fixed….. traffic horrible and staff has a nasty attitude and don’t know how to talk to people……trash always over flowing
Gates NEVER work properly. Trash piles up EVERY weekend. Maintenance request? Ha, it might get done, it might not. It certainly WON'T get done in a timely manner, if at all. You'll have to call and beg to get anything fixed, and then you'll have to clean up the mess the maintenance folks will most definitely leave behind. And they'll jack your rent during a pandemic. This place sucks. Don't waste your time or money here. I've been here for a year, and it's miserable.
I've made many mistakes, but moving into this place is by far one of the worst mistakes I've made. I wish I'd paid closer attention to the reviews. First off, don't let the clubhouse, infinity pool, lake etc fool you. That's not an indication of where you'll be living. The tour will be of a furnished apartment on the ground floor, not of the actual on ethat you'll be living in. You'll only get to see that apartment when you go to sign the lease. You can't sign the lease without having electricity connected and renter's insurance paid. So essentially you're committing to something that you have no idea about. So if when you finally get to see the apartment you don't like it.... You might be in too deep to back out....unless you have somewhere else to live. The only information I was given prior to moving in was that the apartment was on the 2nd floor. Okay, so I went to check out the apt. The stairs are DIRTY. The inside of the apt appears clean. The oven is DIRTY. The assistant manager made a note of it. Next day I discovered that - the garbage disposal doesn't work, -the tub in the master bedroom is clogged! The water takes forever to drain out- - the closet smells strongly of marijuana, - we cannot walk barefooted on the carpet. I made 20 painful discoveries of nails or screws on the carpet. My daughter had glass shards stuck in her foot twice. -Even walking on the carpet leaves your feet feeling dirty. - most of the outlets in the apt don't seem to work. - the porch is covered in animal fur that comes from the apartment above me. It was mighty smart of whoever did it to put someone with. A large animal that sheds a lot on the 3 floor! I moved in ONE WEEK ago and I cannot wait for this lease to expire.
The property is located close to the outlets, restaurants, and shopping centers. I can walk everywhere. The property is beautiful and well kept.
Management is horrible, 10k worse than the last management DO NOT MOVE HERE.... Repairs are NEVER COMPLETED and the new management LIES compulsively and the assistant wants to date anything breathing for a hook up, on sites looking all day instead of doing his job...Worse apartment complex in Pooler!!! STAY AWAY
Management has horrible accounting have been double charged for rent twice now. New management as of February of 2020 is even worst haven't fixed their portal to pay after sending an email stating that they will send an email advising when we could pay with the Portal. Havent answered their phone nor been in the office during posted hours. I could even find out know how much to pay because of the lack of statement in the mail. 18 days without response from the offices I get hit with a late fee and have only responded to me to let me know that I was delinquent. The apartment manager has declined to wave the fee and refused to give me the corporate management contact information.

We are readily available during office hours, or you can email us to set up an appointment at PreserveatGodleyStation@pemreg.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
Gated, pools, dog park, fitness centers, footb all parties. We have a huge 3BR with a wood burni g fireplace, screened porch, granite counters, black appliances and new carpet. Right across the street from Tanger Outlets. Management and Maintenance are so nice and make living here fun!

Thank you for LOVING US as much as we LOVE OUR RESIDENTS!!!
Take my word for it. Do not waste your money or time. Our most horrible apt ever. Drugs are used and sold on premises. Nothing is done even if you complain about it. Gates do not work(maybe that is why a vehicle got stolen). Dumpster stays broken and overflowing. Parking is ok if you are willing to walk and/or handicapped(they even park illegally in those). If you use the pet area-you will melt. No shade. Very hot area in summer. Car wash is a joke. If you move here...just remember that I tried to tell you. Stay far away!
I absolutely love these apartments! Great location! I always felt safe living there! The staff are so friendly & helpful, they became my extended family! Pools were always sparking clean! Beautiful scenery & ponds! Safe & fun walkways to walk your dog! Always had fun excursions planned for residents! My 3 bedroom was spacious! Never had a problem with noise & I had a ground floor! I really enjoyed using the fireplace in the winter too! I always tell people how great it is to live here at the Preserves! So many fond memories here at The Preserves! Elizabeth Wilson
Property Manager at Preserve at Godley Station, Responded To This Review
So HAPPY you love it here. We do have the most beautiful and large three bedroom floorplans available. Our Furry residents love our bark park and walking trail and we love when they visit the office for a treat!! Thank you for making The Preserve your home!
Wish there was negative ratings ... This is a very old apartments .. with lot roaches creeping under the kitchen old stinky carpets ... Recently with the mall and the new shopping complexes near, traffic is a nightmare and is prone to many accidents. I stayed in this apartments for three years... and was always ill treated by the management which was and continues to be very arrogant ... Some times the rent were hiked without notice, I had received the rent non payment notice even though I had paid rent, when went and clarified they simply acknowledged my request, no apologies ? Funniest thing is they charge u for the monthly rental bill of $5, u cannot opt out of it
This is by far the worst managed apartment complex I have ever lived in. Management doesn't solve any issues in a timely matter or solve the issues at all for that matter. They will act like they are fixing a problem or looking into issue but nothing ever gets done here.
They closed the pool for a year without knowing the date it will open. Always unattended children messing arounnd in the smaller pool, which most of the time was yellowish. Garbage is very often overloaded. They never close the gate. The new billiard room is already broken. They installed a BBQ few months ago, they still have no clue when it will be connected.
My husband and I moved here March 2014, it was a nice community, office staff was nice. AS months we by we regret moving here. We became un-pleased with the way this community has changed. You have young men smoking weed outside, people not picking up after their pets, my neighbor has complained to the office but nothing has changed. The trash is very very displeasing and embarrassing when we have guest over, it seems like no one is picking up etc. We were promised that the gates would work when we first moved in, I’ve only seen them work for 1-2 weeks in 2015. They charged you $30 to pay your rent online which is crazy now seeing that their drop box is out of commission. So you either have to catch them open or mail them your rent check or pay an addition $30 to pay online, which is very inconvenient. If you don't have to, then don't move here. Let's not start on maintenance, it just too much I have to say about that so 'll sum that up in c few words... It's terrible!!!! Our lease can't be up no faster...... Photos below were taken on different days...
Best place we have ever lived.... Beautiful landscaped property, wonderful new updates in progress to include new gyms and pools. The office staff are wonderful, any concerns we've had have been addresses with 24 hours, that includes even minor maintance issues. ***** Five Star Property!! *****
I absolutely love this sight this is how I've found every apartment that I've rented. It gives you the opportunity to see what your renting as well as the interior and surrounding school, churches etc.
we first decided to rent this apartment because of the great price and amenities. The complex has two pools and two workout rooms. They advertise the big pool which is very nice. Well our lease started in October so too late for pool use but when this summer rolled around we were excited to be able to have a nice pool. Well then construction started on the clubhouse so the nice pool advertised has been closed the whole summer. At first it seemed like it would be a short project but no we never see anyone working and it seems to be at a standstill. Well it sucks but we do have a second pool. Problem is it's so small and for some reason always closed!!! When we asked about when progress would be done in the clubhouse the office staff seemed offended and didn't want to give us answers. We are deciding to renew our lease since we kicked in such a great rate but are hoping that we might actually get to use the amenities promised next year. At least send out an apology letter to the complex or do something nice since we were promised amenities and haven't gotten to use them this year at all.
Surrounded and Submerged in nothing but beauty. Love this place!!! The office staff is always welcoming & informative & able to help us with any problems we may have.
The apartments are very spacious. Great location to shopping, food, easy highway access and the airport. If you're looking for convienence, this is a great place to be.
