About President and Park Royal
Welcome to the President and Park Royal where old world charm meets modern day amenities. Entering their elegant lobbies, you can journey back to the 1920’s and 1930’s luxury of crystal chandeliers, marble flooring, crown molding and a building concierge. Adjacent to the Lobby, you can enter the Library and enjoy a relaxing moment next to the marble framed fireplace, or gather around the center table with family and friends for board games. For a more formal gathering, look no further than the elegant Ballroom. This timeless private room features a large fireplace framed with its original high mantel and columns, carved wall molding, and wood framed recessed columned windows. For privacy during your special event, the French door can be closed. For your exercise workouts, the Fitness Room includes a state of the art elliptical, stationary bike, treadmill, and free weights. These are all located in a room of wood framed mirrors, a marble fireplace with sconce lighting, and padded flooring. The community rooftop sundeck includes gas fired barbeque grills; and throughout these public areas, tenants and their guests have courtesy access to high speed Wi-Fi. The journey continues to the individual apartment homes. The President and Park Royal offer spacious units that feature parquet wood floors, formal dining rooms, and cedar closets with exceptional space. Custom brass and crystal doorknobs adorn many of the apartment home doors. The individual apartments include built in shelving, high ceilings and ornate crown molding and many homes have decorative fireplaces or screened in balconies. Some floors have only four homes. In every journey, one must be properly equipped and each apartment has both high speed internet and cable TV service included in the rent. Electronic fob entry, reserved garage parking, bicycle storage, and laundry facilities in each building are among the modern amenities.

Central West End’s European vibe is on display everywhere you look, from the classic architecture and layout to the charming parks and gardens to the open-air cafes and bistros that line the streets. The most dominant landmark is the sprawling Forest Park with its trails, sports facilities, lush greenery, and famous zoo – it’s a perfect community backyard for the families and urban professionals who call CWE home. The neighborhood’s elaborate Halloween celebrations and Labor Day Greek Festival are immensely popular, drawing people from all over the city. Art galleries and performance venues are popular draws as well, and the neighborhood enjoys a healthy yet subdued nightlife scene.
While located at the heart of one of the region’s biggest cities, Central West End is mostly residential, with most of the landscape filled with single-family homes. Apartments tend to be very affordable, and rental houses tend to be quite reasonable as well.

Property Ratings at President and Park Royal
My wife and I lived here for two years while she finished grad school and we constantly talk about how lucky we were to find this place. Bottom line: there were no other apartments we could find with this amount of space, in an outstanding location, for the price we were paying. Being able to walk to multiple groceries, restaurants, the park, and more was a massive upgrade in our lifestyle alone. We very much enjoyed the amount of space we had in our 2 bedroom, 2 bath. Even better was our balcony overlooking the neighborhood and courtyard. The courtyard itself offered a great place to socialize and have friends over to grill. Even with all of the benefits above, I can't stress how wonderful the staff was as well. I quickly became friends with them, and any issue or repair we would need was addressed promptly. The building is definitely old, but is constantly being updated, and it's age never became an issue for us. In the two years that we lived there I think the only thing we replaced was an old ceiling fan, and received a brand new one immediately. That's it! Definitely check this place out if you are apartment shopping. Price, location, and staff are all outstanding.
I moved to STL from out of state five months ago. I downsized from a beautiful 1920's home into a beautiful apartment about half the size from about the same era. I love pretty much everything about living here. The neighborhood is vibrant and diverse. I can get to the airport effortlessly on the Metro. There are restaurants and two small groceries in the neighborhood. My apartment is beautiful, solid, and well-maintained. The management in these buildings in excellent. The building is very quiet; almost too quiet for me. I rarely hear anyone else in the building. I simply couldn't be happier with my experience of living in The President the last five months. I highly recommend this place if urban living in comfort and style is your goal. My only complaint is that there isn't a drug store within walking distance.
This is the perfect building if you want a quick walk to the metro, great restaurants, and outdoor space. The common areas are well maintained and staff incredibly helpful. Unlike other apartments in this area, it has a large courtyard with grills, lounge chairs and dining tables. It’s like having a touch of country right in the middle of the city.
Having left a 4-bedroom 100-year-old house in Wisconsin, I thought the adjustment to apartment living would be tough. But when I walked into our beautiful 2-bedroom apartment at The President in STL, I knew I was home. The building was built in the boom times of the 1920s so everything is substantial and gorgeous. The views are amazing with windows ( in our apartment ) facing North, South and West. A generous foyer makes a library for us - the hallway from living area to bedroom creates a sense of privacy for sleeping. Noise carries poorly through the thick plaster walls, so we are not at all bothered by sounds of neighbors. And if anything requires attention, it is taken care of almost immediately. The worries of lawn maintenance are no longer ours - our utility bill is included in rent, so no unexpected highs or lows - great staff are competent and friendly. And, as in all housing, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. We are in the heart of the CWE and just 2 blocks from Forest Park. Without driving we have access to a wide variety of restaurants, bars, entertainment. Highly recommended habitat for living!
My apartment is 2B/2BA and about 1600 square feet with all utilities except electric included. The doormen and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. The elevator has gone down and needed to be reset about once a week since I've moved in and I"m hoping that is a fluke. The a/c units are battling the worst part of summer surprisingly well. Overall, my rent is less than 1 dollar per square foot so despite the fact that the kitchen and bathrooms need updating, it's the best deal around and the neighborhood is my favorite in the entire STL region. The Park Royal is very dog friendly.
