As its name would suggest, Near Northeast sits in Northeast Washington, DC and is bounded by North Capitol Street to the west, Florida Avenue to the north, F Street to the south, and 15th Street to the east. This quaint neighborhood sits just outside of downtown, offering easy access to the National Mall, the White House, and Union Market. Residents enjoy living near this warehouse-like food market that offers unique artisans. Union Station runs through Near Northeast, and either side of the neighborhood offers local restaurants, grocery stores, banks, convenience stores, and more like Fare Well, a vegan restaurant in a retro-chic diner.

Property Manager at Press House, Responded To This Review
Wow! Thank you for the wonderful review. We are working hard to make this community one for everyone to enjoy and love. Best, The Press House Team
Living here at the Belgard for this short period of time is definitely a wonderful experience. Every staff member I’ve come in contact with has made feel welcome and resolved any minor issues I’ve had immediately!!! I like to point out Kevin for all of his help with getting me leased and moved in. Teddy in maintenance for his great job replacing my carpet as soon as I requested and Veronica at the front desk for being so sweet and helpful with my move. Honestly this is the best team I’ve ever had the pleasure to deal with at an apartment home! Amazing job you guys !
Living in Belgard is a great experience and it’s nice to speak with knowledgeable and proactive staff. Keep up the great work!
Love the Belgard! Wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in the city.
Excellent location, excellent neighborhood, excellent staff (from the leasing agents to the cleaning service), excellent amenities, excellent choice from us.
During most of the pandemic I have been at my permanent home out of town. With return to in person work, I am just now spending time at the Belgard. First impression is very good. Love the gym and other common areas. My first maintenance request was fixed with lightning quickness.
The Belgard has the best staff! Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
I have been a resident of Press House since August, and I have been completely disappointed by the lack of proactive communication from management and Fouler Pratt in regards to the health and safety of the residents in addition to amenities and hotel guests. Starting a couple of months after I moved in, I was home for a weekend, and when I got back, there were multiple doors on my floor that had been forced open. Only after days of asking what happened did I learn that there was a fire in the apartment next door to me and the fire department needed to force open doors because they were unable to open the door any other way. I had no way of knowing this and worried it was someone who was robbed. A few months later I was in the elevator going to work and two FBI armed agents came into the elevator with me. Later in the day I was sent a link to a reddit post showing these agents serving a search warrant. Days later I was told that this was a search warrant for a hotel guest. This terrified me as I had no idea if the apartment building was safe. The only way I would have even known this happened was if I was in that elevator or had seen that post. Finally, during the peak of the Omicron variant I was unable to use the gym for months due to the fact that resident were not wearing masks inside the gym. There was also no vaccine mandate like other gyms in the area. One of the reasons I chose Press House was because of the pool (which has yet to open after 7 months) and the gym (which I have stopped using for safety concerns). When I reach out to Press House management I am told "These events were not in our control" which feels like a total passing of responsibility for the fact that they chose to have a hotel in an apartment building and also, they could have done more (ANYTHING) to reassure us all that the building was safe after the raid and fire. Marvin and Jaelyn have been and continue to be great, but the rest of their team and the building owners are not doing their job to make residents feel safe and cared for.
The Belgard has a communicative and helpful staff, great amenities, and excellent floor plans with lovely natural lighting. These qualities combined with the convenient location (just a 5 minute walk from the red line, less than 10 minutes to multiple grocery stores,) make it a great find.
I love how accessible the amenities are at the belgard. the fitness center is well maintained and accessible. Friendly staffs such as Jamal and Bret always keeps me smile. Leasing managers such as Zubair have made my move-in easy.
Really liked everything - facilities, professional, friendly staff, facilities etc. - until the new building opposite completely ruined the view. My apartment is pretty dark now and I would never move into a flat this close to another building.
I truly consider The Belgard a place I can call home.
Staff are friendly and professional. Apartment is in a great location a few blocks from the Noma metro and Union Station. I would definitely recommend the Belgard to friends.
Excellent and fun vibe combined with top-notch staff.
The Belgard is a comfortable place to live. The apartments are up to livable standards and the community amenities and features are great.
The staff at the Belgard is extremely pleasant. I enjoy my stay here. The maintenance crew is very nice and prompt.
I love this building! The staff and community are all so friendly and helpful. The amenities are fantastic and the units themselves are stunning with high-quality finishes.
Nice amenities, convenient location, friendly staff. Shout out to Zubair for his professionalism.
Living at The Belgard so far has been the best. Management team is very responsive. Maintenance team is on top of all your needs. Plenty of parking. Cleanliness of the building is superb. Its just been great overall.
I have had quite a few homes in the DC area but The Belgard has been my favorite. I love the amenities and all the familiar faces among the residents and staff members that welcome me home everyday. The clubroom is a lovely place to work and hangout when my apartment feels lonely, and the gym is excellent. I will be extremely sad the day I will have to move out!
The Belgard is an ideal residential with all the amenities you'd need for quality of life in an urban setting.
I appreciate this beautiful property that provides an opportunity for tenants to experience a high-end quality of living. The factors that affect the overall quality of life vary by people's lifestyles and their personal preferences. The property is great.
Jamal is the best concierge Ive had in my 10 years living in DC. The Belgard would not be the same without him. Steve and the maintenance team also go above and beyond.
I love how insulated the walls in the apartments are. When I'm at home, it is so quiet and peaceful.
Easily the most comfortable, luxurious and accomodating residential I've ever lived at, The Belgard is a 10/10 on all aspects of urban dwelling.
The maintenance and concierge is great. Management sucks.
Friendly, attentive, accomodating and quite a cohesive staff based on my experience in the year that I have lived here.
The staff at the concierge has made living here a great experience. Staff members are always willing and able to assist with requests and are always very quick in response times when assisting with things.
The Belgard is filled with very nice people between the renters and staff. The amenities are gorgeous and really give you that youthful and colorful feel of living. So far no complaints!
The construction next to the apartment has been very disappointing for the amount of money I am paying for the apartment I am in. The people that live here are mostly very nice and respectful. Carol is great but the rest of the staff can be somewhat rude at times. Other than that, it is a nice place to live!
I've had a fair number of things go wrong in my apartment in the one month I've lived here, from a leaking ceiling to a broken outlet and air conditioning. Luckily Eliu has come quickly each time I've submitted a request and solved the problem. I'd like to not have more problems in the future but at least I know they'll be fixed promptly and helpfully when I request.
I immediately felt like I was part of a community at the Belgard, and the staff is ultra responsive and friendly. I enjoy the location as well with nearly anything one can need in walking distance.
The Belgard is a great place to live with wonderful amenities, up to date and a nice community feel. Some things could be improved with cleanliness but I know they are looking to make improvements.
The Belgard is a nice apartment community near the Capitol. The people are friendly and the employees are extremely helpful.
The Belgard is a beautiful property with great amenities.
Nice apartment with beautiful amenities! They also have very friendly staff!
Our apartment is beautiful and affordable. The building is clean and neat. Staff is friendly and communicates well 90% or more of the time.
I love the belgard! My roomate and I have been her for a little over a month now and it has been great. Everyone is friendly and the amenities are perfect. Couldnt ask for anything more at a great rate!
The Belgard has everything I could need or want in an apartment complex, but the real benefit is that the whole community is considerate, helpful, and always improving!
Living at the Belgard has been a really great experience. I'm in a micro apartment that feels very comfortable with the floor-to-ceiling windows and nice features (including a waterfall shower, in-unit washer/dryer and modern kitchen appliances), and I've enjoyed the amenities of the building very much. The variety of spaces (rooftop/ common areas/ gym) has made working from home during COVID a very livable experience, not to mention that the staff is friendly and welcoming. The location is also great and metro/grocery store/CVS access is convenient. There is a bit of construction in the area that makes the outdoor spaces not as attractive, but I would overall absolutely recommend living at the Belgard.
Belgard is a really nice community and a really nice community for all ages. I hope that management continues to make sure it stays that way.
The Belgard is a beautiful building with great amenities.
Lovely place to live. Wonderful amenities and amazing staff. A bit noisy given the location but worth it for the proximity to the metro, grocery stores, and Union Market! (And the pool is absolutely to die for.)
I would not move here until another company takes over managing. The property director is combative and leaves residents in the dark. He refuses to escalate concerns and instead with make you talk with their lawyer.
My partner and I moved into the Belgard early January of this year. We love our apartment, the amenities, and space. The staff / management is wonderful and know their residents on a first name basis. Were happy to live here and have no complaints.
Love the building, the finishes in the apartment, and the community feel!
The management staff at The Belgard is so friendly and helpful. The amenities truly make me feel like I'm living in a luxury building. I'm happy to call The Belgard home.
We couldn't be more pleased with our decision to move into the Belgrade. The people are nice, the views are fantastic and the amenities are everything we were hoping for. Couldn't recommend it more!
You can tell a lot about the building by the people who work there and live there. At the Belgard, the staff is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and responsive. The community of people who live there is friendly, open and positive. The apartment features and amenities are worth every penny. And the location at the heart of the Union Market development make the Belgard an obvious choice.
The belgard is great. Amazing management, one of the best rooftops in the city, and at a great price! Plus, its west of Dave Thomas circle making it easier to access all the prime areas of NW DC
