Preston at Hillwood

My 7 year old daughter and I have been tenants since 2014 Stoneridge Farms at Hillwood (210 Hillwood Blvd Apt XXX Murfreesboro, TN 37128) and now Olympus Hillwood located at 210 Hillwood Blvd Apt XXX Murfreesboro, TN 37128. I renewed my lease in August, 2016 about 5 months ago. Overall, we are happy with the size and location of the apartment. However, shortly after we renewed the lease, I discovered my allergies had gotten worse. My physician urged me to check the apartment home for mold. Sure enough, we discovered mold in an area of the master bathroom. It needs to be treated and removed by a professional. This has been very upsetting to me and I feel as if my complaints are falling on deaf ears and aren't being taken seriously. This issue can not be "patched" anymore and needs to removed immediately. Please see the attached photos of area in question. Based on the photos this has been an on going issue for months October, November, December of 2016 and now January, 2017. Due to these conditions I am requesting break our lease by February 1, 2017 and will contact the Better Business Bureau and legal counsel if the current lease can not be terminated . Mold is a very serious health hazard.

It is in a great location, but that is why they can charge premium prices. The landscaping is well maintained and the outside if the buildings are aesthetically pleasing. However...the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything. I could hear my neighbor's phone call while he was in the bathroom like he was standing next to me in my bathroom while getting ready for work. The windows have to literally be wiped everyday in the cooler months from condensation or you will get a nasty mold problem. There is only one choice for internet. It is DSL from AT&T, and it is a max of 6 Mbps. The service is the worst!!! When we moved in the carpet was pretty old. Not what you would expect for $1100 monthly. Not a luxury apartment. Most of the staff were helpful. I would say location is what we moved there for, but there are a lot of other options you could consider for a lot less money.

My apartment is very nice,lots of windows with great views. It has a play area for the kids close by and a dog park for my dog.

When I moved in over three year ago, this was a wonderful place. Since then the maintenance has fallen to a lower standard and the prices have climbed very high. We have been through several management changes, included a change in ownership. The current management tries, but they have been deal a bad hand. We have no choice on Satellite/Cable tv service, nor choices in internet provider, leading to appalling service and horrible prices on both. We have been told that they are trying to expand our options on these, but nothing has come of it and it has been at least a year since that was first reported.

Stonridge farms is an amazing place to live! It's a gated community, with beautiful amenities. The pool area is beautiful with a nice grill, there's a playground for kids, and a small dog park! Everything is kept up and clean. The clubhouse has a free fitness center and tanning bed. They also have DVD's and games (video games and board games) that you can rent for free! All the employees are extremely friendly and all the apartments are nice. I really feel at home with Stoneridge Farms. Their courtesy officer is my neighbor and the nicest man you'll ever meet. They are luxury apartments, but at an affordable price. There's college students in the complex, but not an abundance. They even offer garages for an extra fee, which my fiance loves; he keeps his motorcycle and project car in there. Everyone that's around us is respectful. Of course there's the occasional noise. But it's the amount you would expect from living in an apartment. The community is gated, so it gives me a little peace of mind. I love these apartments!

Quick access to I-24 and right on 96 so everything is very close. Banks, Grocery, Restaraunts, the Mall and all kinds of shopping within a couple miles, yet the complex is quiet and very private. Security gates limit access and traffic from the public. The apartments are well maintained and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Loads of amenities and conveniences on site! I would recommend this Apartment to my friends and to any readers here.

I lived there for only six months which I greatly appreciated my stay. If I did not have to move due to school transfer I would have remained in my apartment. The amenities were well kept. The staff was friendly and the area was a good clean place. The location was just perfect for me. The only thing that you cannot control with any apartment is the noise from your above neighbors. However, this was a great place to stay!

I have lived here for almost a year, I love my 2 bedroom apartment, it has a jetted tub which is great. Staff is really nice and helpful, very friendly amd always ask about how things are in my apartment.

My family and I relocated here and we love it... We were a little hesitant about apartment living but the staff made the transition from out of state very easy.

My husband and I relocated to Murfreesboro for a job opportunity and this was the second place we looked. It is a beautiful apartment and we really are happy here. It can be a little noisy with someone living above you, but you just have to learn to adjust. There are new people in the office supposedly and have been very welcoming to us. The only thing I have seen is that the owners don't pick up after their pets near the dog park area. But not having a pet, we don't go to that area very much anyways... I definitely recommend this place.

There are bugs in the pool throughout the summer.. infestations of ants around the deck, beetles, caterpillars and flies in the pool and all over the bottom of the pool. We voiced our concerns to the management and were told that they just don't have enough people on staff to keep up with the amount of swimmers that are in the pool daily. It seems logical that maybe they could use someone to maintain the pool daily. There is a sand volleyball court, however, there are so many pet droppings in it that we stay away from it. The park is the same way. We stay on the walking path. The play equipment is run-down and there is no place for parents to sit to watch their children. There are so many bugs in the apartments that we request pest control each week. Because we are close to a field, there are rodents around the property. We have seen them on people's balconies and scurrying around at night. I am just waiting out my lease. I can't wait to move out of here.

Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to the reviews I had read about Stoneridge and I moved in here anyway. The location is nice, and the apartments are fairly new. The pool is very dirty throughout the summer. The staff will tell you that they check the pool levels daily, however, whenever I have seen the maintainance staff at the pool, they come into the area, take about one to two minutes in the pool shed, then come out. I am assuming they are probably signing their initials on a log. There were so many bugs in the pool that I eventually made several comments about my concerns to management, upon which I was told that there were too many people swimming to keep it that clean. We quit going once we started getting rashes after swimming. The office staff is very unhelpful once you live here. My impression is that they work very hard to make people feel welcome to get their apartments filled and don't worry to much about their current residents. There are many other options out there. I would encourage you to think twice before renting here!

I moved to Stoneridge because I really needed a place quickly. I had read negative reviews about bug issues, filthy pool and thin walls. I just wish I would have taken the advice of the reviews online. The employees are as sweet as pie when they show the property, but they don't tell you about the pool and hot tub issues. I have informed the staff myself about my concerns with the pool several times. There is no one on staff who actually cleans it. The office will say that they do, but the pool was so full of disgusting hair and even feces last summer that the motor broke. When I told them that there were hairballs, the assistant manager Kim told me that because there were so many people swimming in it, it was very difficult to clean, and that the maintainance staff was very busy and didn't have time to deal with the pool very often. The office staff is very condescending and rude once you actually live here. With so many other choices out there, I would urge you to consider your other options.
