Property Ratings at Preston Pointe
First, let me start with the fact that the parking arrangements here are terrible after a certain time of the day and you would eventually have to fight for a parking space. Secondly, the apartment had a terrible infestation of roaches; I constantly complained but, no one came to actually do anything about it until I had two more months left in the apartment. Thirdly, I constantly had to call the office in order to try to get my bathtub spout fixed (so I could use my shower instead of going on the other side of town to use my mother’s shower), but I was constantly told to be patient for six months straight which is unacceptable and then I was told that my work order was deleted.Which then I had to call a relative who lives in a whole other state in order walk me through how to fix the spout myself. Fourthly, one of the women in the office was very rude and had a nasty attitude sometimes. And final overall these apartments seemed very money hungry and my final bill from them doesn’t make any sense at all, a majority of it was simple unnecessary charges that could have been avoided if they had did there job and actually tried to help me a their tenant. Honestly I would recommend these as a very very last resort if possible. And I will be sure that none of my family members or friends ever stay here after my experience unless they go under better management.
Please please don’t waste your money !! Horrible experience with the manager and staff ! Take forever to fix something just over all not a good experience
I just moved in today and I was under the impression that they did not have an infestation. I was misinformed. They really do have roaches.
No security onsite, vandalism/burglary, unsafe, sketchy neighbors.
Run as fast as you can these apartments are the worst that I have ever stayed in. In general about everything they have the worst service ever
RUN AWAY! Being a homeowner and renter for the last ~30 years, it had been that long since I rented an apartment.....I leased an place here for the location and price....I also liked the trees and stone work, not your normal modern day apartment complex...As I type this, I have been without hot water since Friday evening (this is Sunday evening 2/25 now)...I have left 3 phone messages with no call back......Granted, hot water or the lack of is not life threatening, just annoying and I'm starting to smell....I have ignored the lack of parking (impossible evenings and weekends) The worst part is NO RESPONSE from apartment management, not the first time...The maintenance guys are great, I love the community, but obviously Preston Pointe has all the business they need....Luckily my lease is almost up and I will find a place that actually wants you to live there....If you are looking here, RUN AWAY!
I'm not going to tell you not to live here. What I will do is tell you my experience and hope you learn from it: 1. Starting from day one, the lease had some issues in it. One part in particular is the renter's insurance. Make sure you have it, because they won't give you your key without it! They also won't tell you it's required to have it before you move in! 2. In my first week, I couldn't find a place to park. Not a single spot. Don't get home too late or you'll be hoofing it! 3. The previous tenant left some souvenirs for us when we moved in. Don't worry, they'll charge you for "clean-up" when you're ready to move out. 4. I'll give the office staff SOME credit, but they really are quite rude and unforgiving. 5. If you think this is a good price, you might want to go look at an actual apartment. "But they show the demo," you may say. If you're that naive, you deserve to live here. 6. Crime. This place is a pot smoker's DREAM. You'll get high just off of the second hand smoke. 7. If you have friends that want to stay overnight, make sure they get a visitor's pass, or they'll be giving several hundred dollars to the towing company that took their car. 8. I'll also give the maintenance staff some credit as well. I put in a work order and it was fixed the next day. 9. If you think you're getting out of this place easily, you're WRONG. This lovely place requires a 60-day notice to vacate, at which time they will charge you the month to month rate of almost $100 more. I don't know about you, but finding a new place to live 60 days out is pretty tough. Also, I don't want to give notice of vacating and then have to scramble to find somewhere else to live. 10. I should have brought a canoe, as well, because when it rains, this place FLOODS. You may say, "Gee, it's on a nice little hill." Well, my friend, this hill has lots of holes. Do you know what's in those holes? Eyes. Dirty, rotten, penny-pinching, arrogant eyes.
Very unhappy hear parking is horrible and apartments are not up graded its all old appliances they don't even replace the burners when you move in so it looks nice . no vents in the bathroom so there's mold on the ceiling and in the cabinets. When they shampooed the carpet it looked horrible didn't even Smell clean as soon as my lease is up I'm out. Pay to much not worth the price....
I have never experienced such horrible customer service and maintenance service ever... The apt complex if falling apart and you can never have any guests or family to visit you over night because theres never any parking and you are not allowed guests and will be towed.. Infestation with roaches and bees is horrendously out of control and is definitely a health concern... Along with all the domestic violence going on and loud music and neighbors... Be wise b4 you decide to even look to live here... Also beware the units they present look NOTHING like the unit youll be in
