Like the name implies, this district is home to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Although this neighborhood is a clear choice for students, faculty, and staff, the University District offers allure far beyond the campus. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping options. Boulevard Mall offers over 100 stores selling everything from candles to shoes to candy. There is also an abundance of entertainment available within or near the community.
University District is home to several quirky museums including the Pinball Hall of Fame. SeaQuest Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Convention Center are also housed in the district. On top of stellar amenities and fun-filled activities, University District is in a prime location. The McCarran International Airport is four minutes from campus and the world-famous Las Vegas Strip is only seven minutes away.

Property Ratings at Prime
I lived here for one year and in that time had to evacuate the building on four separate occasions. Two of them were due to pipes bursting and triggering the fire alarms to go off in the middle of the night. One was for a resident threatening to burn the building down and locking himself in his apartment, leaving everyone outside from 6-10pm. The last one management refused to tell us about, but it involved about 20 police cars surrounding the building. Every night I could hear bums shouting outside my window from the park across the street. It would go on for a couple of hours before LVPD would do their sweeps at midnight-1am and tell them to leave over their loudspeaker. At least once a month I would find dog sh*t inside the elevator. Mysterious puddles of liquid on the floor were more often than that. Upon moving in, I had a bullet hole in my front door. There was a fair amount of damage throughout the apartment but they were kind enough to at least give me the majority of my security deposit back. The thing that upset me the most is that my final water bill was sent to collections without Prime ever attempting to contact me. I am unsure if this is due to poor management or laziness but it hurt my credit score for no good reason. They had called me to ask where my deposit check should be sent after I moved out but failed to mention this $80 charge. Aside from that, the price is decent if you can overlook most of the problem. I would never move back there but you could probably do worse.
Unprofessional and difficult to deal wit. I would recommend living in a place where the furniture in the lobby is not stored away after the management leaves.

They’ll lock you out and ID you like you’re a criminal if you try to get back in to your own apartment. They’ll shut your water off weekly and I’ve had two floods ruin all my stuff since I’ve lived here but they didn’t care even though it was their fault.

Tenants can be as loud as they want whenever they want with no consequences. The front office staff changes constantly and is usually awful. I’ve seen shootings outside my apartment window. Don’t let them bamboozle you into a lease

Loud parties all night, shootings in this area are so common it doesn’t even make it to the news when someone is killed. Stay away like your life depends on it, because it kinda does.

Property Management scary Holly respectful, nasty, and it was a bunch of Lies a lot of people that live here to make things even worse over here blowing up doors, drug dealers here, homeless people running around complex in Frankenmuth on home and tell the office stuff ain't nothing

I can see that others are as irritated as me by how noisy the neighbors are and how you can hear every sound even if they’re quiet. It’s not like the staff will insulate your walls or punish anyone for being noisy all night so don’t let them fool you otherwise.

The staff ignores any complaints because they’re too lazy to do their job and if you complain again they will be unbelievably rude and just argue with you. The front desk lady won’t even look me now if ask a question. I’ve never made a bad review in my life so the fact that I took the time to write this should definitely repeal anyone away from this building!!! Don’t sign a deal with the rudest people alive at the front office! Save yourself!!!!!

This place is infested with roaches and homeless people sleeping in the halls. Don’t move here. I wish I could give 0 stars

DO NOT RENT HERE. Learn from my mistake. At time of writing they still have my security deposit. Building smells badly of cigarettes from the walls. Things are not repaired unless you threaten non-payment because of lack of essential services. When your lease is up, your rent will raise dramatically. Ask any tenant who's been there a year plus. I made a mistake and didn't give 60 days notice before leaving. Explaining to the manager at the time that I was unhappy with my unit, she told me it was fine and I could break my lease with shorter notice. That was months ago....They still have yet to give me my security deposit back. Lots of guns. People open carry in the elevators. Elevators break all the time. Like getting stuck in an elevator with a scary dood with a shaved head packing a visible glock and his unfriendly German Shepherd? You can have this experience every day on your way to work. If you rent here, get a gun. Vegas is cheap. Find a different apartment complex that is safer and doesn't smell bad when the AC kicks on.

If you love throwing your money out the window, then this is the place for you. In the amount of time I have lived at this property, I have had nothing but problems. Numerous maintenance request, that get "fixed" by staff that probably does not have the qualifications to fix the problem. The property management team are quick to assist me with my request, but the quick fixes do not suffice the effort. I have had plumbing, pest infestation problems all within the short period of time I have lived here. My neighbors are quiet, my child loves see people with there dogs(the dogs are very quiet)the fitness room/pool are convenient. The model unit is to be taken at face value, as my unit does not resemble it. Make sure to bring your own shower rods, they do not provide them.
Bed bugs. Upon signing your lease you are liable for any pest treatment. Whether or not it was because of you. Ex: me paying $250 for a simple spray down of a 1 bedroom apartment, mind you that i brought nothing with me. I had no furniture i bought as i stayed. I moved from Maryland and only had my luggage. and even that 1st month i already needed assistance with the bedbug issue.
I'm currently in Lake Havasu city and plan to relocate to Las Vegas soon. On my days off I stay at Cambridge apartments. They're OK apartments for now.
Lived here 4 yrs so far and have been very happy with the location, my one bdrm floor plan, and the great service with previous owners; despite aged decor. New owners recently took over and have done major refurb--mostly cosmetic--that's still in progress (over 9 mo so far, I think). There have been some hiccups that seem to be from poor planning (e.g., pool shut down all this summer, errant alarms in the middle of the night, lack of security during property changes), but overall new owners seem to be trying to improve the property, fix long-standing issues, and staff are very nice. We'll see how it's going in another 6 months, after reburb is done (hopefully!)
