Located south of Detroit, Downriver refers to a vast collection of cities and townships nestled alongside the western banks of the Detroit River. Among the 18 communities considered to be part of Downriver are Taylor, Romulus, Allen Park, Southgate, and Trenton.
Northern Downriver communities tend to be more suburban whereas the southern Downriver communities are more rural. Residents throughout the region enjoy the area’s ample opportunities for outdoor recreation along the river, including activities like fishing, boating, and birdwatching, in addition to hiking the extensive network of trails in the area. Downriver is especially popular among commuters for its proximity to Downtown Detroit and multiple major highways.

Property Ratings at Princeton Square
Princeton square is ok my unit was quiet depends on what unit your in cause Ive heard stories from other tenants about the noise they keep raising the rent and everything in the apartment is outdated maintenance sucks my sink in my bathroom has been stopped up for months now after maintenance keep fixing it I have black mold in my bathroom. Currently everyone in the unit is complaining about a smell that is coming from the basement you can smell the loud smell in the hallway and in your home the basement is scary half of the time the washer and dryers are either broke or someone is using them all day for hours. If you have any issue with bed bugs they will not help you and you will have to pay out your own pocket for a exterminator and will literally bother you to death if you dont hurry to get one and also threaten you with eviction. The only good thing about this place is they dont do a credit check and you are able to get approved with a 520 or better credit score if you have 600 or better you dont pay a security deposit.
The staff is friendly and quick to address your concerns
I stayed here for 2 years so far. Great space for a 1 bedroom. Maintenance is awesome! Girls in the office are very helpful and polite. Grounds kept nice. One of the nicer apt community's in Taylor. I will keep renewing my lease as long as they let me :)
First off, was shown an apartment before it was even cleaned, it was completely trashed and disgusting, then we were approved WITH our dog until after we paid the $200 deposit. Then we were told our dog was to big, and she told my significant other that she confirmed with me that the dog wouldn’t be moving in which was a complete false statement. Very unprofessional.
I enjoying living here it’s peaceful. The staff is very friendly and dependable
I have only lived here since Oct 10th 2018 but I have never had a problem with maintenance or the office staff. Maintenance always shows up in a timely manner considerate of your concern an work schedule. The apartments are not luxury but you can fix them up however you like. The rent is reasonable. You dont have to pay deposit if you have 600 credit score. You do have to put up with some that might smoke weed but thats everywhere now lol. But its is safe here..but of course you use common sense this is not heaven. For a basic apartment the rooms are huge and a king size canopy bed will fit in the rooms. Most tenants are considerate of others. I cant give five stars only because these are not luxury apartments but there are no bugs here...no rats,,,mice or any other things. If you ever happen to have a problem tell them and they will address it immediately. Most of the staff live here so you know they want to keep this place up. This place is five star in maintenance and common courtesy from the office staff.
The positives: grounds are kept up and maintenance replies within a decent time frame, the rent is decent The negative: wow where to I begin>>> First of all there is no credit check required for these apartments only a income requirement which is relatively low so unfortunately you get all kinds and that's the major problem. If you have to make a complaint the office will entertain your concern but little is done, so seek a building with older or longer termed residents. The apartments are a decent size but the bulky out of date heater takes up much needed living room space, there are air conditioners but no central air, The place is PATCHED UP and could use a general OVERHAUL. The basement where the washer / dryers and storage are kept is creepy and smells like a old basement. They clean the place but there is a ant and knat problem throughout.. thank God I have not seen any rodents or roaches.... With all this said this place actually has potential if they would monitor and control the residents and do some updates!!!!!!!!!!!
Gave it two stars because its livable. The apartment is not well structured with the air conditioning unit in the bedroom and the heat in the living room. In other words, temperature is not well distributed throughout the apartment. Maintenance of the apartment is not up to par and looks in poor condition. The whole apartment looks outdated. There was incidence of bedbugs. Landlord and staff is unprofessional.
Not so much anymore. Poor maintenance and big concentration of bed bugs
