Nestled on the Casco Bay, Maine’s most populous city feels quite the opposite – more like a quaint coastal village dotted with historic lighthouses. Because of its size, Portland is fairly easy to navigate on foot, or you can hop aboard one of the city’s buses or trains. Whether you rent an apartment, condo, or house, you’re sure to be within close proximity to Portland’s many delights.
Portland’s vast parks, excellent biking trails, and natural landscapes have earned it the accolade of one of the nation’s “greenest cities.” Cobblestone streets and all-brick rowhouses are part of the Old Port’s and Arts District’s charm. These now-converted buildings house an array of coffee shops, brewpubs, bookstores, art galleries, and boutiques. The waterfront port and marina are an integral part of the city’s economy – but recently Portland has been attracting tech startups as well.
Portland is revered for its unpretentious arts scene.

Property Ratings at Princeton Village
I've lived here for about 5 months now and have been quite disappointed with it. There is no management on property and when issues arise, there is no service outside of their office hours which are only 10am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Since living here, there have been multiple issues with residents flagrantly breaking rules and when I ask for assistance from management the response I get is to do their work for them! I'm asked to investigate the issues I am seeking assistance with. For example, the building has a no smoking policy, but a resident has been habitually smoking pot in their unit to the point that it fills my apartment (despite closed vents due to a totally separate maintenance issue they refuse to solve) and causes a headache, nausea, etc. I've called about it DURING BUSINESS HOURS and was still told to go investigate myself and come back to them with proof about which unit it is, rather than them actually taking the initiative to enforce their own rules. Rent here is overpriced for a 450 sq ft, rundown, unkempt apartment and having to deal with issues like this on top of it is really unbelievable. If you're looking for an apartment in a good location in which no rules are enforced, management takes no responsibility for the property, and you have to live with windows that don't close, walls the thickness of paper, and the lack of basic amenities like lit stairwells then this is the apartment complex for you!
