Property Ratings at Providence at Old Meridian
I toured here when looking for my next place. Amenities were good and units were spacious. Just seemed a little outdated. With the location, you cant beat! Mejiers and shops right below your feet. The staff was great!
I moved out awhile ago and received a bill for damages. Some of the damages included things that were already broken when I moved in(Which I have videos and photos of with a time stamp). The property manager is awful; so rude. The place was filthy when I moved in. There was hair in the fridge and freezer and dirt all over the bathroom. I needed a new appliance and wasn't informed maintenance would be coming. They entered my apartment with no notice to replace it. The neighbor I had, constant domestic violence, the smoked pot and cigarettes so the hallway constantly smelled like it everyday as well as dirty diapers. She kept trash on her balcony. I thought when I moved here, everything would be great, considering how much they charge for rent and also the area. During winter, my balcony door had ice on the INSIDE; the doors were rusted out and needed replaced. I am stuck with this bill and have called and emailed every day since I received the notice and no one will answer or return my calls! I know they are hoping I either let it go, or that the time will run out so they can collect payment. If I could give 0 stars, I would. It'd be great if the property manager would give me her direct number so I can get this bill taken care of! I'm not paying for the stuff that was already damaged before i got there!

This apartment complex looks very nice from the outside; however, it is entirely superficial. Kathryn, the property manager, seems like a helpful person until a problem occurs. She will promise multiple times to call you and NEVER call to resolve the issue. If you go to her in person, she will turn you away with "apartment living has inconveniences", while expecting you to live in a construction site. Pray you never have an out of hours emergency. I had to call them multiple times to try to inform them of an ongoing flood from an upstairs apartment. Then, they will set a day with you to come for repairs and not show up without calling. I have had problems with water flooding multiple times in this apartment. VERY POOR management. PLEASE DON'T LIVE HERE!!

Yesterday, I met with Ms. Kathryn the property manager and she helped me find apartment which I desired. Her customer service and work ethics were amazing. She explained everything very clearly. Thank you so much for your assistance.

Similar experience to others in reviews. It’s not a well run property. Multiple cars towed with less than 24 hours notice from management, not for improper parking but because they can’t or won’t be bothered to plan ahead for repairs and give residents advance notice. A window fell off its track and onto my head while sitting at the kitchen table. Multiple outlets were not functional. AC failed. Very little hot water. Management frequently threatens to close the pool. Golf simulator does not work. Wi-Fi issues in the business/cafe center. Staff in the office does not answer when residents call. The building smells like weed. Slow to remove snow in the winter time. Online automatic payment portal breaks down and management will send last minute emails notifying residents of the issue and in that email threaten residents who delay payment as a result of their broken process.

1. The current renewal rent increase is 10% + 2. Every apartment has severe window issues. The windows are extremely hard to open and impossible to close. 3. The building entrance doors are broken; cold/hot air, animals, insects, and leaves all enter. 4. The manager, literally, quickly walks to her office whenever a resident enters the office. She will not speak to one in person.

WORST APARTMENT EVER. The buildings are so old and outdated they can’t keep any heat in and they try to charge outrageous rent prices for apartments that aren’t even fully updated. MAJOR black mold problem that no one seems to care about. DO NOT LIVE HERE

Probably the worst apartment I've live in. Appliances are old and barley function. Windows are cheap and leak air. Durring the summer expect temperatures of 85 - 90 degrees in the apartment. Managment is terrible, 0 customer service. Avoid this place, they treat thier residents like garbage.

Providence is really excellent location to live!!! You can’t be closer to everything then living here. The apartments are designed really amazing, keeping in mind what the tenants need the most. Lots of closet space, numerous spacious closets and storage areas. Various amazing floor plans. Beautiful spacious patios with relaxing views. But most importantly the staff that is dedicated to keeping everyone comfortable and happy in their homes. Ensuring maximum customer satisfaction by attending to each individual needs. I’m quite impressed!!

Between the overall lack of courtesy services, the declining amenities and the hidden fees/penalties – Providence at Old Meridian is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. In the three years I lived here, there has been a significant decline in service from the courtesy officers. They used to be friendly and responsive but they clearly don’t care anymore. Courtesy officers are barely ever in the office, almost never answer the phone and are slow to respond by email. I have spent days at a time trying to reach them to no avail. I think most courtesy officers are trained to try to upcharge you instead of to help you. If you have a problem – you’re on your own at Providence at Old Meridian. In addition, the rent increases significantly year to year and management does nothing to address basic community needs. For example, the dumpster always overflows and instead of getting another, they fine residents $25 for leaving trash at the dumpster. There is clearly not enough parking in most of the complex and they will gladly tow your car if you park in an unapproved spot. They will fine you $25 if you leave an empty concierge trashcan in the hallway past 9am. They will fine you $75 if your dog barks. They will fine you $50 if you store your bike in the bicycle storage shed when they decide to renovate it. The mail lockers are barely big enough to fit your hand in and you need to sign up for Parcel Pending for $6 per month if you want to receive packages. The speed bumps they built throughout the community are not regulation size and they will damage the undercarriage of your car no matter how slow you go over them. The discounts you get from surrounding businesses are negligible and the only good aspect about this complex is the location.

Cliff, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We want to sincerely apologize that you did not receive the 5-star experience that we strive to provide all of our residents. Our office hours are posted on our office and we are open within those hours, offering emails and voicemail, as well as 24 hour emergency maintenance and a courtesy officer for off-hours, weekends and holidays. We work diligently to provide and communicate policies that make living here comfortable for all our residents. If you have any further questions regarding certain policies that we enforce, our office team would be more than happy to discuss how these policies are important tools for keeping our community beautiful and enjoyable for all. Thank you, again.
I could not have asked for a better place to live! The grounds are well kept, the neighbors are very friendly, the staff are knowledgeable, helpful, honest, and amazingly kind! Any time maintenance needs to be done, they are quick, efficient, and so very nice. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about this place!

I’ve lived here for two years and have seen a consistent downward spiral during the past year. What used to be a friendly community of professionals of all ages has turned into loud, college aged children, families who leave toys and strollers out on sidewalks and in hallways. The grounds anywhere outside the front office are weedy and bushes need trimmed. The gym and pool need a big upgrade too. The rent and extra costs keep rising yet the neighborhood diminishes.

I've lived here two years. First year was pretty good. They have gone through several office staff since then and changes in maintenance. Their concierge service is lacking heavily. No one is there half the time for you to get your packages and per one of the employees the ladies in the office don't like to help out in the mail room. Like the person below said, the office staff is nice but they have no clue. Maintenance and the office staff are two different entities it seems like. My first year I had no maintenance issues. This year I've had several in my new apartment and it's not been pleasant experience. They are behind and will take a week or more to get around to your issue. I've had an issue with my dryer since March and the dryer is now finally dying. I called on a Friday to get someone out, its Sunday and no one has been out. I went to the office and was advised to call the emergency line to get ahold of the on call person. Per the on call person, the dryer is not an emergency situation and per their rules they can't come out if its not an emergency situation. I am not pleased with the service at all. Also, another point I agree on with the person below is the walls are thin and good luck if someone above you has kids or a woman who wears high heels walking thru the apartment above. The young woman next to me has a large dog that looks out the window while she is gone and constantly barks and scraps at the window whenever it sees someone walk by. The scraping causes the whole wall to shake on my side and below me as the people below me hear it as well. The only thing these apartments have going for them is their convenient location to everything. I will not be renewing my lease.
Although the amenities are not bad, The townhouse we were in the whole place has poor to none insulation in the walls, the windows need replaced.. Our electric bill was $400-$500 a month for a less then 1200 sq foot townhouse. Management does not want to do anything about it. Oh and after you are there for 1 year they will raise your rent $65.00. a month. Our dryer we had there for a year would take 2-3 x's to dry the clothes. They would send someone to look at it and it still would be the same. Finally after 1 year they replaced it. We left after 1 year and 5 months. 1 star is all I would give them and that's only because of the location it sits.
Older buildings but well-maintained. Close to stores and restaurants. Pet clean up is well enforced and office/maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. Amenities make a day spent at home fun (pool, theatre, virtual golf, pool table, gym, ect.). Mail room and packages are secured. Plenty of parking and family friendly. All around nice place to live.
We have lived at Providence for over a year now and honestly have never regretted renting here. The maintenance team are fantastic, grounds are kept in an immaculate condition all year round. We love the amenities here- the pool area and amenities center are always kept clean and staff are all very friendly. It is also great to have so many great bars and restaurants within the community as well as having meijer within walking distance!
The apartments are wonderful. I never hear my neighbors, but when I do see them, they are very nice. Parking has never been an issue. The management has always been helpful and nice. There is a pool, small theater, simulated golf, and a small gym that is open 24/7. I loved my stay at my apartment.
Very quiet and respectful residences. Great location and great staff, any problem Michelle in the front takes care of right away..
