Property Ratings at Providence Row
I have been living at Providence Row for 3 months and am already looking elsewhere. The staff is extra wonderful UNTIL you move in, and then they completely stop caring about you. (I could write a book about that alone). The apartments were poorly built. If you need maintenance they will NOT give you any sorts of heads up before coming…they won’t tell you the day or give you a window of time, so good luck planning around that! It was a nightmare for us, and the staff could not care any less, please just trust me. The locks on doors have been broken ever since I moved in. Definitely not safe. I moved here for the coffee shop, but there’s been no barista for almost a month now. The concierge quit so good luck dealing with getting your packages. Even the lobby has an alarm that’s been broken for a month now and beeps so loud all day every day, literally every second. Just hate it here so much that I wanted to warn people. Their good reviews I’ve noticed are people who just finished their tour and are excited to live here, just like I was.

Do not be fooled by the nice amenities at Providence Row.. the construction is cheap and the overall quality assurance/oversight is an abstract failure. This places an undue burden on leasing management focused on occupancy and profit beholden to the company and shareholders vice the paying customers. The leasing staff are not trained properly for quality assurance tasking, problem identification and process efficiency when it comes to new construction. Essentially, you are living in a construction work zone without proper management. Several residents have discussed their move in issues. They range from: Hot water heater not connected to power HVAC system not working Laminate flooring peeling up Refrigerator water disconnected Uneven flooring Washing machine and plumbing connections are reversed. Residents are burdened by conducting quality assurance on a level in which the contractor should be accountable for and the leading staff/company should require. Construction- 0 stars Property Management/Leasing Overwhelmed and Under Staffed. Concerns: No Concierge- Package delivery is an Easter egg hunt. No process in place that assists residents or delivery drivers Building cleanliness is not maintained on a daily basis to include trash left in garage and laminate flooring dirty. Constant fire alarm panel beeping in lobby. Response time is lacking due to focus on occupancy rather than designated staff members to assist with tenants issues. No designated process to QA apartments prior to renting Property Management-0 stars Leasing Staff- 2 stars- overwhelmed Maintenance- response time has been excellent. They are responsible for two buildings.. one with old problems and one with new construction issues. They should have more staffing to address construction issues. Maintenance- 3 stars due to response time Cleanliness- I see more people standing/talking than cleaning and obviously it’s difficult to clean in a work zone. Areas around the building remain uncleaned for days. (Floors, elevator, exit doors, stairways, lobby, package rooms) Cleaning-1 star Amenities-unfinished Not Rated.. Summary- Providence Row Phase II is NOT READY for occupancy. Talk to residents. Take time to thoroughly look at the property while touring. Do not get enamored with the glitter of the amenity spaces. There are numerous places more cost effective, better quality and properly maintained. Overall-1 star

If you wish you pay the extra to live in a 'luxury' apartment community WITHOUT the 'luxury' experience, this place is it for you. This place is not managed well. Very weak security, new building/units poorly built; already falling apart. They moved residents in way too early without proper timeline of making sure the it is ready. Fire marshall inspections are still going on every week, almost everything gets broken, and all the doors are open 24/7. NOT SAFE.

Providence row is a beautiful community, that’s well maintained and has great leasing professionals. I worked with Bre to find the right apartment for me and she helped me get all my concerns/questions promptly addressed at move in. 10/10 would recommend!
Just moved in to the luxury condos at Providence Row and could not be happier. A good demographic mix, amazing amenities - my kids are already using the hot tub, it is quiet and everyone is so nice. Oh and the barista in the morning is an added bonus to get my day started. Let’s be honest though the staff is top notch especially Bre! She helped me through everything and gave an awesome tour to my kids and I when we first stopped by! Thanks Bre!
I have been in Providence Row for just over a month now and can't describe how happy I am here. The staff and facilities are second to none and there is everything you could want on tap.

I have loved living at Providence Row and would recommend it to anyone! It is a great location, which is convenient to Uptown, Southpark Mall, Dilworth, Myers Park, & Cotswold! I lived working with Bree. She was so helpful, upbeat, & friendly. Great amenities here too including a great gym, sauna, and steam room. Also, my kids love the pool table & holf simulator!
We love living at Providence Row- it's been great for family while we transition to our new home. Barista Dayna is the best, and it's a really nice perk to have free coffee/espresso! We also love the entire staff, especially Bre, who helped us move in. The kiddos love Raquel and her suckers on the desk- both ladies are the sweetest and super helpful.
After months of failing to secure a rental home in this crazy market, we opted to search apartments. Providence Row was the first and last complex we toured, as we were sold after just one visit. The location, spacious floor plans with high ceilings, designer finishes, and cabinet storage, (features found in custom homes)were all factors which led to our decision and the best part, no lawn to mow?? Our leasing agent, BREE, was a major factor as well. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and professionalism , were also reasons we chose Providence Row. Bree went above and beyond and made our transition from house to apartment incredibly smooth. Any encounters we have made with other staff members since moving in, have been equally as fantastic. This was a big move for us as empty nesters, and ourselves(as well as our puppies) couldn’t be happier with our new home at Providence Row.
Providence Row is hands down the best apartment we’ve lived in! It has all the bells and whistles; and is located in a prime area of Charlotte. The staff is so warm and welcoming. We truly appreciate Bre for making our living experience at Providence Row fun and exciting!!
Beautiful apartment complex and wonderful leasing agent staff, But when it comes to maintenance they don’t care, I been trying to get a light bulb in my closet fixed since I’ve moved in but for some reason the task is to difficult to accomplish for the maintenance team, I’ve submitted a request for repair twice now, and was told it be fixed but still no working closet light.
This review is long overdue but so necessary. I have been so so impressed by Providence Row and their team. I am so glad I made the decision to live here. Raquel in the leasing office was and IS the absolute BEST! I walked into the office, fell in love with the space, and we tentatively planned on a move in date several days out. I called her the next day asking if there was any way to move in sooner and she - made. it. happen! Raquel made sure my move in experience was smooth and made it as easy on me as possible. I was so grateful for such efficient and thoughtful care. Every person who I’ve spoken with who works at Providence Row has been absolutely wonderfully too! But Raquel has gone above and beyond! The amenities are fabulous, the apartment is perfect, super pet friendly, the location is great, and man - can I stay here forever?
I love this property. I saw this property online and thought I would go by and check it out. I met with Raquel she provided all of the information I needed and you can tell that she really loves what she does. I love the all of the amenities it has and it is very upscale. I was pleasantly surprised that this type of property is available in Charlotte NC. I will be moving here in 2 months. I have found my new home.
Let me first say when I first called to set up a tour I spoke with Raquel who I found came from the same state as I did and shared similar experiences. When I arrived and was shown the unit and the amnesties I was instantly sold. Raquel is down to earth and full of energy which helped sell me even further. I am enjoying my unit, sauna, indoor pool, and the virtual golf. Your experiencing a resort style living at your own home without traveling. The secured parking gates were also a selling point.
I have only been living here for a week BUT everything has been so smooth and amazing so far. The amenities are amazing, the shower is BOMB!!! They have food trucks, activities for the neighborhood and etc. the communication with the office has been AMAZING. Raquel is wonderful! We were in communication 2 months prior to me living in and she made my transition so smooth after going through a little bit of a bad situation with another complex. I’m in a studio and it 100% feels like a 1bedroom. This has been the best experience so far!
We recently removed from New York to Charlotte and have been living here for one month! We had a great experience here and enjoyed our apartment. Raquel is really helpful and helped us settle here smoothly.
This building is truly amazing. The amenities are that of a luxury hotel. The staff is also very personable and make this property feel like a home. The property manager Brook is amazing, always out and about in the community. Myrian, Raquel,Travis, Connor,David and Megan are also amazing. Definitely enjoy living here.
Providence Row is a fantastic place to live. The amenities are INCREDIBLE and the staff is super sweet. We just simply love where we live. Our apartment is gorgeous and we are so thankful for the maintenance staff, especially Connor- he rocks! We also love Brooke in the leasing office. She is a doll and super flexible and kind. We love it!!
We recently moved to Charlotte from Las Vegas. I must say, this is one of the most amazing places to live. I've lived in many cities and Providence Row is top 3 for sure. I happened upon this place and I CAN NOT be happier. Randomly walking in, I met with Raquel. She was so warm and inviting, it felt like home almost immediately. If you're a person that values luxury, this is definitely your place honey. I am someone that enjoys amenities. The Steam Room, Sauna and Indoor Jacuzzi have literally been a daily enjoyment for me. The gym always smells so good and clean too. ( There's a stair stepper and row machine. Okay!) I've never felt more cared for by a rental property. Normally, maintenance sucks in apartments. This team is so on point. Any issues, they tend to them asap and everything is always so clean. There's so much to do here like Zumba, Hiit, live music in the courtyard and food trucks for you and the pup. (There's more but that's what I've enjoyed so far.) I lucked out finding this place. I walk across the street to the Superica, The Fresh Market and Hollywood Feed all the time. I'm like 5 minutes from South Park mall too. I love it here. I never write reviews. This place is so amazing; management, Raquel and Grace are so attentive, I just had too. If you have standards, and then STANDARDS on top of that, I'd recommend this place. 5 Stars.
I absolutely love my experience so far at Providence Row ! All of the residents, Grace & Raquel in the office and even maintenance are so kind and helpful ! I love the barista and getting free coffee and I love the events they host. I not from Charlotte but I love the community vibes I get from providence row. Move here I promise you won’t regret it ! :)
This review is a lengthy one as it documents all of the issues that I experienced during my 12-month lease here. In short: shoddy construction, lots of noise due to paper thin walls, and maintenance will not solve your problems. Please do not let the pictures, the pretty amenities or even the leasing office fool you—this apartment is not luxury. I was the very first resident of this unit at Providence Row (and only as of the time of this review). A/C was broken for the first five days of my lease during the dead of summer leaving my apartment uninhabitable—the temp inside of the unit was over 90 degrees. I was provided with a small fan that did absolutely nothing to cool the apartment. After this was fixed, about a month later the A/C stopped cooling my apartment again and I had to contact maintenance to have this fixed. In addition to this, my apartment (308X) and other apartments on the hall experience something called “water hammering”. Don’t know what that is? I didn’t either until I moved here, and this is what that noise sounds like at 6 am in your apartment (http://bit.ly/PRWaterHammering). As a result of the poor construction of this complex, I’ve lost countless hours of sleep due to this banging noise in the ceiling that will not go away. Maintenance was first contacted about this issue in the beginning of September 2019 and did nothing to remedy it until I went above the complex and reached out to Northwood Ravin. Even then, the complex sent someone out to cut open the walls, examine the pipes, and then didn’t return to fix the drywall and painting until 4 months later in mid-to-late January 2020. The water hammering issue was never permanently fixed and still exists to this day. Whoever is unfortunate enough to rent this apartment after me will be dealing with a problem that I have continuously begged maintenance and management to fix throughout the entirety of my 12 month lease. Noise is another HUGE issue at this complex. The walls on every side are paper thin. You will hear your neighbor sneeze, have conversations, and you will ultimately hear them doing a lot of other things that you probably wish you’d never have heard to begin with. Do yourself a favor and save some money, time, and energy by moving on to the next complex on your search list. I was really excited about moving to this complex and it turned out to be an absolute nightmare. From a current/past resident to a potential one—save yourself the trouble and don’t move here.
Building access issues are recurrent. It is so frustrating having to try repeated doors to get into the building. Carpets are never vacuumed. Parking garage is full frequently. I’m disappointed. The Office continues to change things available. Parking is less, now dogs can’t use the grass. It’s very upsetting to be stuck here. I would not recommend believing the sell job here. I wish I could cancel the remainder of my lease.
I read the other reviews and I don't know where these people are living because it doesn't sound anything like where me and my family live. We were so excited about moving here but were sold a bill of goods. Growing pains? The building has been open too long (over a year)for constant elevator and security gate breakdowns. Cleanliness? They keep the selling areas clean but the carpet in the halls are filthy and haven't been vacuumed since we moved in 4 months ago. They don't even bother protecting the elevators with blankets and floor covering when people move in and there are move in's every day even though there are hooks for the blankets so the elevators are already scratched and floor dirty. I'm embarrassed to have my family and friends over. We think the building and amount of people living here is just too much for management. They can't stay on top of it. Garbage accumulates and they blame the city for not picking up. Again, a management issue. The smell is overwhelming. All the landscaping is dying. Strange men are wandering in and around the parkeing lot every day. I don't feel safe here for me and my children even though they hired a security guard he's not here 24/7. We're locked into a lease but will be moving when it's up.
After viewing many places to call home I stumbled onto Providence Row. When I originally toured there was still construction going on and no residents even living here yet. Deciding to move into a brand-new building was not only exciting but absolutely terrifying. Not knowing if we would have major issues was a constant worry of mine. I’m not going to say that we haven’t had a few hiccups here and there, but every minor issue was handled with priority. The entire staff here at Providence Row has been amazing with all of us needy residents, especially Brooke. There has been many nights walking to my apartment and seeing Brooke working into the late hours of the night to make sure things get done. I couldn’t be happier with the place I decided to call home. Brooke, the staff and all the residents have made this place such an incredible place to live!
I have been living here for several months now. The staff here, Brooke and Tim, have alway been very helpful and have answered all of my questions. The living spaces here feel and are very luxurious. I would refer anyone to come here if they are looking for a new place to live.
Moved in here thinking that everything they said in selling it to me to lease was true. Not. The management is 1 star, patronizing to tenants, & unresponsive. They were great the first month I moved in but since then, I can forget any kind of help when needed...it takes DAYS! And the building isn't even full or finished. God knows what service/help is going to be like when it's full. For 3 days now the supposedly "very secure" garage gates have been open 24 hours for anyone to come in at any time & have total access to the building. There are strangers walking around every day. There's still construction so there are random men around in the garage & halls every day. The elevators are always out, sometimes one or all. The cleanliness of the place is going downhill at mach speed. They're so willing to sell the place on the amenities that they let other things go. It's all impressive when you do the tour, but once you're in that dazzle wears off fast. They charge a fortune for pets, more than other buildings, $400 to move in & $15 a month for EACH pet. If you have 2 it's $600 or $30 a month so get out your checkbook, yet there is no place to exercise them. With all the space they have they couldn't find a few hundred square feet for a dog park? I could tell them today where one would go with all their wasted space they've filled with uncomfortable furniture no one uses. I have to travel to exercise my dog. There's limited area to walk him so everyone is walking their dogs there & there's poop all over the place. No one is picking it up & the manager does nothing but send out polite notes asking people to pick up their dogs waste...like that would work. They do cutesy things for dogs (treats in the lobby, pet of the month) yet no place for them to play. They're clearly not checking references of potential residents, just looking at filling the place. Wish I'd spent more time looking at other residences. Especially ones w/dog parks. My bad. Learned a big lesson here & me & my dog have to live with it. If you're still looking, better read the lease carefully before signing on the dotted line. Anyway, I used the reviews on this site to pick this place so I thought I better leave a review so other's go in with their eyes open. It's too bad cause the apartments are nice but it's not just about the apartment space, it's the whole building, the kind of people they're renting to, and what we're exposed to daily. All I can say is I regret moving here.
I cannot say enough about my experience with Brooke, the Property Manager, at Providence Row. I'm in the process of relocating to Charlotte from Atlanta and have visited many different properties and never felt the way I felt after my Mom and I visited PR yesterday. Not only are the apartments and complex at Providence Row absolutely stunning, but the customer service that we received was above and beyond. I have not had that yet while viewing apartments in Charlotte. I'm sold! Can't wait to move into my new place in May! Thanks again, Brooke!
Providence Row is a wonderful Apartment my expectations have been exceeded from what I thought about living in an apartment. Brooke the community manager has been more than helpful with the whole process from start to living in the apartment. I highly recommend this property not only is it brand new and has all of the upscale amenities that make you feel like you are on vacation. Thank you Providence Row for making my experience a positive transition while I am building my new home.
Providence Row was a find! Lucky I listened to my daughter and came to take a look. What a great place to live! The building is beautiful, and wait until you see the courtyard! Still under construction it's that new! The rest of the amenities are to die for. It's like living in a spa! Management is terrific, very friendly and helpful, and the Head of Maintenance, Tim, couldn't be more helpful if you have a question. Take a look, you won't be sorry!
I've lived at Providence Row for almost a month. The apartments are stunning (wood floors, marble tile/shower, laundry in closet, high ceilings, etc.) and the decor throughout the complex is gorgeous! I love all the amenities and can't wait for this summer when the pool will be completed. There are so many aspects that make it luxury, and the best part is that it's affordable.
If you are looking for great amenities, luxury apartments and a management team that makes you feel at home you should definitely check out Providence Row! The apartment finishes are breathtaking; marble showers, white and grey kitchen, and large balconies. This team thought of EVERYTHING!!!
