Historic rowhouses, cobblestoned hills, and plenty of greenspace fill the streets of Georgetown. DC’s oldest neighborhood, Georgetown blends historic charm with a youthful energy emanating from Georgetown University.
Georgetown contains endless amounts of activities, from shopping to exploring the outdoors and everything in between. Should you choose to rent in Georgetown, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the lush gardens at Dumbarton Oaks and Tudor Place, peruse the shops on M Street, listen to live jazz at Blues Alley, see where John F. Kennedy proposed to Jackie, kayak the Potomac River, pose near the steps from The Exorcist, savor a meal at one of the restaurants on the Washington Harbor, stroll along the Georgetown Waterfront, and indulge your sweet tooth at any of the many cupcakeries in town.
Just two miles from Downtown Washington, DC, Georgetown is a mere 15-minute walk from the Foggy Bottom Metro stop.

Property Ratings at Q Street Apartments
Obviously you have to get past the fact that its a dated building without dishwasher, in-unit laundry, and central A/C. Once you take it for what it is, it's a gem of a place and great value. It takes some TLC to bring the apartment to life, but their larger studio floorplans and bigger floor types have ample charm with wood flooring and arched thresholds. Can't beat the location too. Nestled in a quiet corner in Gtown and equidistant from M ST and Dupont Circle. Miguel has been the property manager for a year thus far and has been amazing. Quick to reply and address things and very friendly. Maintenance is very responsive and the front desk team (especially James) warm up the place with their friendliness.
For the location you can't beat the price. The utilities are included, too! Love the apartment building.
Nice location friendly neighbors
Merced commons is good for families in need trying to make a life very home feeling. You are what you make it theres Great management Great maintenance
The new management team is amazing they are on top of everything making the merced commons feel more like a community.
This is a super efficient efficiency! At 275 square feet I am able to comfortably fit a queen-sized bed, 84 inch-long couch, bistro table and chairs, and a wall of bookshelves. The tall ceilings make me feel like I have room to spare! The building itself is well-run with a quick turn-around on maintenance requests (I once had a toilet replaced within 2 hours of reporting a problem). There's also a 24/7 desk which makes me feel secure. On top of all that, I am an 8-minute walk to the Dupont Circle metro, the bus stops right at my door, and I can actually afford to live in one of the most coveted neighborhoods in DC (Georgetown)!
This building has its pros and cons. On the plus side, the apartments are huge especially considering the reasonable rent and has a 24 hour doorperson. On the other hand, the building is very old and has zero amenities and management can be difficult to get a hold of at times. If you are looking for a starter apartment or a 2 bedroom under $3,000 this is the only place to look.
