Cozy community that balances the charm and character of an old building with modern amenities and well-maintained indoor and outdoor spaces. The location is so convenient and the outdoor spaces are so refreshing!
Everything is top tier!! Most importantly everyone is super nice.
I moved out 3 months ago and they didn't get back my deposit back. I called them thousands of times and they won't even bother to return the call.
It is a very nice building.. probably one of the nicest ones in U city. I'm glad we moved here.

Quaker Court is a very nice place to reside. The community is nice, facilities are appealing, and privacy is great. While you’re still in the city, the way the building is set up and how the exterior public spaces are designed, it doesn’t feel like you’re in the city which is cool as well. I love it here!

Excellent location and interiors. For a pandemic when we're all stuck at home, I really like waking up in this beautiful apartment and not having to share my washer and dryer with the building.

The place looks upscale and it's located very close to Drexel University and in a less busy and chaotic section of Philadelphia. There are several restaurants nearby.

Pros: Convenient location, management fairly responsive, spacious rooms Cons: Some parts of apartment are poorly maintained (kitchen cabinets), pest problems, including cockroaches, bugs, and mice (I found mouse fur plastered all over the underside of my oven), expensive for area

The management at this building is horrible. They are some of the rudest people I have ever met. On top of that, it is very expensive to live here and not worth the price. The noise levels are also bad, between hearing everything your neighbors do and hearing every single noise from outside as if there weren’t any walls or windows in place.

I have lived here coming on 5 months now and I feel like I have found my niche in the city! I am a clean/neat person and the property is always tidy and organized. Kyle and Rob always say hello to me whenever we bump into each other - they're super friendly. I alway feel safe and comfortable and I have actually met some really good people here. I lived near Old City for a while and always struggled finding new people to meet. Making the move to Quaker has been really awesome and I seriously recommend joining the community!!

I have been living at Old Quaker for almost a year now. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to resigning my lease to be here for at least one more year. The interior of my apartment is very modern and true to the Philadelphia with the exposed brick. I've had such an enjoyable time here because of the quality of care that this building receives. I have never had any issues with my apartment and I save a ton of money using the workout room rather than paying for a gym membership. There are also some really Philly-esque coffee shops and restaurants very close to the building. I always ride my bike around the area on the weekends and feel very comfortable and safe at all times. The area is filled with a bunch of young professionals and other college kids so there is always something to do. I love the building and my apt. My friends and I are actually renting a few rooms In the building which is really nice as well. I love Old Quaker and can't wait to be here for longer!

Thank you for this review. We are happy to hear that you love Old Quaker Building?s charm as much as we do!
My name is Kyle Zappi and my experience at Old Quaker has been absolutely spectacular... We have been having several events organized by the management with FREE beer and food that have turned out to be great ways to meet others members of Old Quaker. I've met some really cool people and forged friendships throughout my time at OQ - the others members of the community are very outgoing and welcoming. I am currently a student at a nearby college and the walk to and from campus is very safe and convenient. There are also several good pizza spots and reasonably priced restaurants in the vicinity of OQ that I really enjoy. Overall, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique Philadelphia experience.

I have lived at the Old Quaker Building for the past two years, and I had an absolutely wonderful experience here! Anybody looking to rent in University City should put the the Old Quaker Building at the top of their list. The only reason that I am moving out is because I am graduating from school and found a job that requires relocation. This building is clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained. For the amount of money that you would spend on little space in surrounding high-rises, you can get so much more at this property. Old Quaker has charm in its unique history (reflected in the distinctly different units throughout the building), and though it has outlived the surrounding high-rises, the units themselves are completely updated with top-of-the-line appliances. My unit faces the back of the building, so instead of looking at a busy city, I have a view of pretty trees (providing privacy and a nice feeling of escape). In regards to cleanliness, I never saw so much as a bug in my unit. You can tell that the hallways were consistently vacuumed. Any minor maintenance requests were handled promptly (24 hour maintenance). Clearly, the building was constructed well, as I always had the quiet needed to study. The staff was always friendly, and a nice greeting from Manager Jackie always brightened my day. I have never written a review, but I felt like the Old Quaker Building deserved a good one! It is in an ideal location: walking distance to all of my classes, surrounded by campus security, and right across the street from a block of great restaurants. I will definitely miss it here.

Thank you for your five-star review of the Old Quaker Building!! We are so pleased you enjoyed your time with us and we wish you all the best with your new job and relocation.
Our first experience with Old Quaker Building apartments was in 2010 when our youngest daughter was going to attend the graduate nursing program at UPENN. Old Quaker had been our first stop and all the other apartments we looked at could not compare to Old Quaker. In fact, we rented #206 from Anita that same day. The apartment was clean, newly painted, the rugs were shampooed, wash/dryer is standard, and the halls are cleaned daily. We always felt it was a save and secure environment for our daughter. The apartments are quaint and have several amenities like: a workout area, BBQ grill, and a great porch to sit and relax. They allow small animals, and have convenient parking as well. The apartments are in walking distance to UPENN, Drexel University, great restaurants, and a local convenience store. Well you would think this was the end of our story – Not At All ! In 2012, our daughter-in-law was accepted into the graduate nursing program at UPENN. We didn't even have second thoughts as to where she would be living. As soon she was accepted, we contacted Anita and Stephanie and rented an apartment for her 13 month stay. As one would expect, by this time we had gotten to know the staff - Anita, Stephanie, and Tom the handy man. What a great team to have on your side. They welcomed us with open arms and my daughter-in-laws stay has been just as good as our daughters. When considering an apartment, we highly recommend you talk to them. They are there to make your stay pleasant, safe, comfortable, and accommodating - it will be your home away from home.
I have moved in 6 months ago, and like it a lot. The location is great, close to school and in a safe neighborhood. Very spacious apartments, very tall ceilings, nice kitchen and appliances. Havent had one problem yet. would recommend!
This a great building for graduate students. Great location to schools, restaurants, and downtown. They allow dogs and have a washer and dryer in the units. If you're looking for a place, you should check out Old Quaker. My wife and I are super glad we did.
