While most people think of urban skylines and walkable grids when they hear the word “uptown,” Uptown Rochester encompasses a more spread out suburban community just west of U.S. Highway 14, a little less than two miles from Downtown Rochester. Here, you’ll find charming single-family homes and low-rise apartment complexes all set within an idyllic, tree-lined layout. Proximity to the highway and Downtown Rochester makes Uptown Rochester perfect for commuters and families who want a little more space in this up-and-coming urban center.

Property Ratings at Quarry Ridge Apartments
I have been incredibly disappointed with moving out of this apartment complex. I lived here for 3 years, in two different apartments. The office often makes obscure charges with little to no explanation. Every time I went into the office to discuss the due payment, they waved it and did not know where it came from. Both times a lease has ended there have been issues. I personally had to call each utility company to end my service, and then was later billed after my lease ended because the office did not officially end my lease. They are helpful to get you into the apartment, but be prepared for a headache when you are ready to leave.

Overpriced and becoming very run down. They love adding extra charges wherever they can.

After contacting one of the employees at Quarry Ridge, I was not at first happy. I was disappointed in the lack of concern for my situation of needing to move in a day early and was met with a response basically saying "no can do." Once I pushed a bit, I got into contact with Julie, the manager, and was instantly more satisfied than with the response I previously was met with. Julie was much more sympathetic and did all she could to help. She also gave me the outcome I was looking for and was much friendlier.

Extremely expensive in comparison to the services you receive. Very poor management that keeps increasing the rent and adds additional expenses. I have never "ever" lived in any place that treats its residents with so much disrespect and so much greed. Sound is a huge issue and the walls are paper thin. The apartments has the cheapest material used. Management was unresponsive to requests. They are very rude and very abrasive as the comment below mentioned. Please do not live here. IRET needs to suffer some losses to learn that greed is not the best way to make a business. I give quarry ridge 100 thumbs down.
I recently moved to quarry ridge, i felt that this community is the safest community in rochester and was wrong. I recently purchased a bike for 600$ and parked it in the garage (underground parking) and locked it too , to my surprise i found out that my bike was stolen in a span of 2 hours on june 28th,2016 after returning from soccer match.I feel they need better security system and cover the garage thefts , now i dont feel secured to put any of my stuff in the garage anymore, because if you loose them nobody even cares. I seriously doubt if the cameras are even working its like getting into a so called luxury apartment without security. Thanks, Sachin Balusu
I currently live in a two bed, two bath apartment in the newer side. My apartment is one the first floor and I can easily hear my neighbors above me when they walk in heels or walk loudly. I do enjoy the in unit washer/dryer. I also find the newer style kitchen very nice and the counter tops make it feel very high end. I would say the main perks of the apartment complex are the mayo clinic shuttle, pool, workout room and location (easily accessible to shops/resturants and walking paths). The downside is management is not the best. They weren't properly prepared for my move in, but made up for it. The other thing worth mentioning is the thin walls, which you can hear loud noises from neighbors and screaming kids. And as I mentioned earlier the neighbors above can be annoying. Overall the amenities outweigh the negatives in my opinion.
I moved to Quarry Ridge Apartments in Novemeber 2014. After a rough start to the move in process, the staff that work here corrected the mistake and have been helpful ever since. The complex is very clean and safe. The staff is very nice and are quick to answer questions. Work orders are fixed the same day. I enjoy living here and would recommend to anyone looking.
We moved into a brand new unit and there were defects in the construction from the day we moved in which were never fixed for the whole year we were here. The construction overall is of the cheapest materials down to the paint on the walls. Management was unresponsive to requests to address concerns as well as being rude and abrasive. Pool hours are atrocious. 9pm is way too early to close the pool in the summer months. The Mayo shuttle is a nice amenity, but you are definitely paying for it in the expensive rent. I agree with others that sound is a huge issue. I could even hear the person upstairs rocking in the lazy boy chair, snoring in their sleep, and opening their shower curtain while listening to music on the radio.
This place is the worst. After a year of living here, the office staff is ignorant, and won't listen to our requests. We have suggested solutions to problems with our unit, only to have them say it wasn't the problem. Weeks and months later, they end up using our suggestions, which fix our problems. They like to take your money, and then passively fix your problems weeks or months after requests are made. Only rent here if you want an overpriced storage unit, managed by incompetent individuals.
Very nice with wonderful amenities. Didn't know that they had a shuttle which is a great perk. The staff took time and showed me everyone I was interested in seeing. They seem willing to work with you too.
