Property Ratings at Queenstown Apartments
This place is a step up from my old apartment in N.E so I tried to humble myself on that , and the fact of his proximity to my family and work and everything else. The apartments is self has endless roaches I had to get rid of pictures hanging on the wall cause they would love to hide behind them used a whole can of raid on the one picture alone where at least 15 roach eggs that were empty had dropped out of. I just caught a mouse on the trap yesterday and now I’m legit catching them on traps each month !!! The traps set up around my apartment are unappealing and embarrassing. I’m no lie a huge clean freak and I cannot stand to see the traps laid out about but it’s a necessity and not a choice. The bathroom walls peel so easily and have exposed what’s under due to the condensation that builds up after a shower smh. The air conditioners are inconveniently located threw out and super loud, I’m a light sleeper so I legit have to sleep with a pillow over my head and not be hot. The maintenance doesn’t attend to every ticket you put in and my walls are literally leaking with water damage in the living area. You walk into my place you will never see it disheveled or messy, yet dealing with the constant termites is never ending. The pool is open only sometimes now when it calls for a little rain they don’t open it at all. The gym is non existent even though that’s listed as an amenity and the aftercare program I have yet to hear about but is also listed as an amenity. I plan on moving once my lease ends I will pay more money to be somewhere bigger with more utilities included and less infested then to stay here paying for mouses and roaches

please run away from this place ! absolutely disgusting ! roaches roaches and more freaking roaches ! they’re everywhere and with every precaution taking they still show up! they’re in the cabinets, drawers, on the stove., on the couch., in the beds., in the shower, on the toilet seat overall unsanitary. my fiancé and i are the cleanest people you will ever meet so we know it’s not us. don’t get me wrong the first two days were nice no sightings but day three there wasn’t a room you could go in where you didn’t find at least 3. i’m not paying. to live with unwanted guests i’m at the point they’re just going to have to kick us out. i was feeding my newborn in the morning (on the bed) and one just casually crawled up my leg and on the couch few days later one crawled on my arm and in my baby’s car seat ! all orkin does is come put gel in the kitchen and bathroom then leave nothing works. trust the bad reviews i was the one foolish enough to think “everyone’s experience is different” ! if you still decide to go with queenstown best of luck to you and keep 10 cans of raid on hand at all times…

Only live here if it a last resort! the entire complex is infested with roaches. They are impossible to get rid of, in the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, there is no escaping them no matter how clean you are. I have bought every poison and trap on earth and they will not go away. You can call management they will send a “professional” exterminator who really won’t do anything. Also management makes you sign an agreement in the lease saying you won’t hold them accountable, they know what’s going on! This place is NASTY!! I regret signing this lease.

Do not stay here. Has awful cockroaches and mice. I was here from 2017-2018. Complained and they gI've you 5 days notice that will bug bomb the building. Which means cleaning out the entire kitchen, closets, and bathroom. And vacating it for 8 hours in the middle of winter or summer with nowhere for you or your pets to go. And it doesn't work. They bug bombed it once in july, once more in november, and in may of the following year. Still had 4 mice entire the 3rd floor as well as cockroaches.

Terrible place to live . Tons of roaches and mice . No parking . This place is INFESTED . Mice got into everything including my drawers and linen closet and cabinet . Moving next month have to throw everything away to make sure I do not take any queens town rodents or cockroaches with me . Not worth the nightmare

They don’t give out visitor parking. Hard to visit elderly family member even if you need to stay over a night or more to make sure they are ok. The office says park on the street but there is no spot at night. They own all those parking spot near 7/11 but got to have a resident parking pass. They could make that a visitor spot with temporary parking pass.

the maintenance is very bad, you call for an emergency and never arrive, my kitchen has no electricity for more than 9 hours and nobody comes to help, my food is ruined for not having maintenance
I don't know who wrote the positive reviews, probably staff but this place is not that great. You get what you pay for. Aside from not offering lock-out service after the leasing office is closed every month the leasing staff is new. The bookkeeper has a very bad attitude as does the maintenance department. It takes several weeks for maintenance requests to be completed. There is never enough parking for residents because a good number of parking spots are tied up by contractor vans and parking is worse in the summer. The fitness facility is a universal gym in one small room and you have to pay extra to use the pool in the complex. The one positive about the actual complex is that it is close to a metro stop. But other than that the neighborhood is kind of sketchy at night.
Every time I go into the office everyone is very nice! They are always out cleaning the buildings and the grounds. I love my apartment and you cant beat the price. They include gas so you do not have to pay a Washington Gas bill. The electric is with Pepco and my bill has never been more than 50 dollars. They also have a huge pool and a community center that does activities with my kids after school. It is a great place to live.
The two bedroom apartment is spacious and it's located at a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The neighbors are great and friendly. And everything about it is awesome.
I got a job in DC and had to move within two weeks from Massachusetts, so I wasn't able to come and physically look beforehand. Due to this, I was very worried about leasing a place sight unseen. The Queenstown staff in the leasing office, however, were friendly, understanding, and extremely helpful with every step of the process and moving in was a breeze. The apartment was even nicer than the photos on the website, and almost all of my apartment had been renovated in between the last residents and my move. It's a short walk to a variety of stores, including 7/11, Price Rite, and Dunkin Donuts, and about a 10 minute walk (along a well-kept trail) to the West Hyattsville Metro. All of the community amenities, such as the pool and community center, are kept very clean and staffed by more friendly staff.
I've lived here about a month and I really love it! You can't beat the price. I'm about 10 minutes from DC but paying 1/4 of the rent you would pay in the city. The staff here is really friendly from the rental agents to the maintenance crew. The apartment is well lit at night so I feel really safe here. Plenty of parking but no assigned spaces. There's a gym but I don't use it, I joined one close by. The fun is really not centrally located at all, it's in one corner of this huge complex, bit that's really the only downside. It's pretty quiet here. I can rarely hear the people above me. Overall, I really like it.
