The second largest municipality in Union County, Plainfield is nicknamed “The Queen City” because of early comparisons to Denver, Colorado for its proximity to natural springs and the Watchung Mountains. Just a short train ride from Manhattan today, Plainfield is considered to be a New York City suburb, boasting the diverse benefits of urban and suburban living.
Primarily a residential area, Plainfield offers plenty of things to do. Residents and visitors can stroll through wide tree-lined streets, admire Victorian architecture in ten historic districts, attend Plainfield Symphony Orchestra concerts, stop by an award-winning public library, and visit the Shakespeare Garden in the expansive Cedar Brook Park. Plainfield also presents a variety of markets, shops, and restaurants in its commercial district stretched along Front Street.
Getting around from Plainfield is easy with access to multiple NJ Transit railroad stations, the Garden State Parkway, and Interstates 78 and 287.

Property Ratings at The Quin
It’s hard to believe I’m nearing two months at The Quin, and it’s truly been a wonderful experience. From day one, Victoria, the property manager, has been amazing—so supportive and always available to answer my questions. The building is pristine and feels brand new, and I really appreciate the attached garage and stylish finishes throughout. My unit is bright and inviting, which makes it feel like home right away. The daily cleaning and maintenance staff keep everything in great shape, too. I can’t recommend The Quin enough—thank you, Victoria, for making this such a positive experience!
Headline pretty much sums it up. No sanitation wipes in the fitness area, the garbage room downstairs is a wreck. Always glass or debris in the back parking area, none of them wear masks either. The other day they tried bleaching or using phenomena to clean the area and it’s clear they don’t know what they are doing. People passing by breathing this is with children etc. terrible

Absolutely love the apartment so far. We moved into a 2 bedroom apartment in Nov 2020. My wife and I were looking more space as we were both working from home during the pandemic. We are in the newer 1402 building that was mostly empty when we moved in. It has since mostly filled up as of March 2021. We looked at 10 other apts before deciding on Quin. For the price compared to what you get, it was the best value. Everything was brand new. Stainless steel appliance, quartz countertop, floor to ceiling windows, balcony, huge front load washer/dryer. Everything we wanted. We wanted to stay close to the Raritan valley line incase I ever needed to commute back to the office in NYC. Other apts in Westfield, Cranford, etc were older, have less furnishing and cost more. Only complaint is parking. The assigned spots varies lot and there's always never spots for guests.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. It's great to hear your experience has been satisfactory and you're enjoying your spacious apartment. Thanks for pointing out so many wonderful features of your apartment too, along with our excellent location. We appreciate the great feedback!
This community has the worst owners and management of any community I've ever lived in. They are ALL unfriendly, rude, and argumentative and are unresponsive to any complaints. The building is not maintained at all. My unit had major issues from he second day i moved in. There is trash all over the property as well as in the building. The walls and floors are always dirty. There are mice in all of the garages. Weed is smoked in virtually every other unit. The smell has spread to the inside of my unit from the people above me and management does nothing. The building borders a residential neighborhood with barking dogs left outside barking all day and night. There is nothing good that will come from living here.

Hi! This is Isabel Tavares, the Quin Apartments Business Manager. I am so sorry you are having difficulty with our team This is not typical of my friendly group of professionals. Please call me to discuss these issues at (908) 540-0000. We want you to be happy with your home. The barking dog is at an adjoining single family home and we will address this with the city animal control. We haven’t had any other complaints but will definitely act on your concerns. Thanks also for bringing to our attention the trash. After the melting snow from the recent storm, there seemed to be a lot of residual litter. The maintenance team is taking care of this. We always strive to have a clean and sparkling property year round. Again, drop by the office or call me at the number above. We will do all we can to make you satisfied. Thank you!
The Quin apartments are a beautiful addition to Plainfield and surrounding community. There are various layouts all featuring nice open space, large windows and high end appliances. The Quin has an impressive range of amenities including beautiful common space, outdoor grills, gym and business center. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Netherwood train station.

Absolutely love The Quin! It is beautiful inside and out. The apartments are so bright and modern. Margaret from the leasing office is a sweetheart and very helpful.
I loved the friendly staff during my tour. The kitchens are modern with a two tone grey and white color scheme. Everything at these apartments show attention to detail and classy living space. Price is great for being so close to the city! It also has a great community vibe. Can’t wait to live here in April!
The staff at The Quin provides great customer service and cares about their future and current tenants. I dealt with Margaret and she truly went above and beyond when I was trying to find an apartment here. Everyone I have dealt with has always been prompt with reply’s and has made my experience here great.
