DC-area commuters love Arlington’s Ballston/Virginia Square community for its close proximity to Washington and its relaxed neighborhood atmosphere. The rental market ranges from charming single-family homes on tree-lined suburban streets to high-rise apartments and condos in the thick of Arlington’s urban action, attracting a healthy mix of residents to the area.
While the neighborhood is mostly residential, the area between Fairfax Drive and Wilson Boulevard is packed with office buildings, shops, and restaurants; this is also where you’ll find the popular Wellburn Square Freshfarm Market, a local favorite for fresh produce, as well as the stylish Ballston Common Mall.
Most of the streets in the area are fairly quiet, giving folks the ability to get around on foot or by bicycle. The community provides easy access to Interstate 66, which will get you into DC within minutes; multiple Metro stops in the neighborhood also help make commuting a breeze.

Property Ratings at Quincy Plaza
Locked out - The management company put new locks on the door without notice while we were away, leaving us to return without the ability to get into the apartment and delaying us significantly before an appointment. It wasn’t until we asked the front desk for help that we received new keys to get into our own apartment. Was previously appreciative of the leasing office, but better management of the building & customer service is desperately needed.
I have been living here for a year and I love Quincy. I live on the high floor and have a great view! The apartment is so clean and if there is anything broken, maintenance team will come timely. Some of the staff could be rude but I get what I need or response. The apartment is pretty quiet and I never hear loud noises. Rashid is extremely helpful. I wish I could stay here longer and I would recommend my friends to stay here !
DO NOT WASTE TIME AND MONEY in your life with this place ! So expensive to have so many complaints. When we moved in here 2.5 years ago I thought the apartment was great. We lived on a 6th floor with baby, MOLD started showing up on a whole wall in our bedroom, they didn’t take that serious, nobody came like for 10 days to do something so I had to go in office. (You can see picture) They gave us new apartman and month free rent so we could cover all damaged furniture, that was nice. We moved on 8th floor and in this new apartment we have been plagued by ANTS since we moved in . Management sended 5-6 times American Pets control but they couldn’t do anything so we still have them for months, just at this point we are dealing with that cause we don’t want anymore people coming in our apartment with small baby during this PANDEMIC ! We wanted to move out like after 3 months cause they can not fix the problem, just to get out from here as soon as possible, but they told us that we have to do 30 days notice and pay free rent from earlier (money that we used to cover all the bills because of that MOLD from previous apartmant) ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS ! Also isolation is terrible, you can feel cold coming from windows and balcony door. People also knock their doors like crazy (in the mornings, late night, no matter when, the baby woke up manyyy timeees because of that... ) Probably we can say something else, but I’m sure that this can help someone. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED ! [] [] | _____
I lived here for 18 months and never got a pleasant email or interaction with management or staff. The management routinely sends out emails lacking any pleasantries. The staff is rude and there's only one front desk person at any time who spends all day dealing with packages, but barely scans any of them, so not sure what they're doing. In the last few months I lived there, only a few of my packages were scanned into the system. They took the cover off the pool and then didn't do anything for a couple months while it filled with brown water and started to grow plants. They never clean the garbage chutes or the garbage room, so the hallways stink, especially in the hot weather months. They closed all the amenities during the height of Covid, but didn't do anything nice to compensate or even check in on us or at least send out a nice email. When I moved out they double booked the service elevator and I had to wait hours to move which pushed my move late into the night and I had to drive hundreds of miles in the dark. They never said sorry or offered to compensate me for my time. Overall the property and management felt like a very low budget property, but they charge as if it's a luxury property. There's plenty of other places to live nearby. I would avoid this property at any cost.

Thank you for your review of Quincy Plaza. I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience with our community. We would like a chance to speak with you to address any concerns you may have. At your earliest convenience, please give us a call at 703-312-0700.
The stated policy of this complex is that the air conditioning is 'turned off' on days when the outdoor temp is below 55F. In reality, the air conditioning is turned off for ~5 months of the year. If there happens to be an 75F day in February or March, you better make sure you have some fans set up. Ditto if the temp dips to 65F at any part of the day in September or October. This policy is not outlined in the leases. Bring some fans if you move in here.

Thank you for your review. Your feedback is extremely important to us. Due to changes in weather, it has caused some mechanical issues to our chillers. Our team is currently working diligently on repairing the system. We apologize for the inconvenience. To ensure that the AC unit is functioning properly in your apartment, we would like the opportunity to have our maintenance team to perform a diagnostic exam. Would you mind giving us a call at 703-312-0700? We will be more than happy to assist you.
If I could have given this place less than one star, I would have done that. First of all, I am not a resident and I'm glad that I didn't end up signing a lease with scammers. Don't apply there unless you are fine to lose 50$ application fees. I applied there with my wife and we paid both 100$ application fees. We were never told that there's income requirement and it is calculated based on original rent not the average rent after special. The leasing agent apologized for not telling me as she didn't know! She told me that I can cancel my application and get my application fees back if I send them an email requesting cancellation so that they won't run a credit check. I did and application got cancelled. I didn't receive refund and when I called the leasing agent she put me on hold for less than a minute and answered me that my application was already processed and was rejected so that I won't have my application fees back. Apologies won't return my money back and I'm sure they did the same with many customers luring them with rent special. They never did credit check or background check which of course will cost them some bucks from the application fees. But they decided to keep them. I didn't receive any official letter for application rejection. All in all, I feel grateful I didn't end up signing a lease with this leasing company as I could end up with more money loss.
Quincy Plaza is in a great location - a few blocks from the Virginia Square Metro, Giant, and Harris Teeter, and a 12 minute walk into Clarendon. The building is well maintained by a friendly and helpful staff, and secure, with a 24 hour front desk. The gym is surprisingly large (and on the first floor, with windows). The pool, game room, and business center are all added bonuses. We've considered moving a few times to be closer to work, but resisted, as the staff here are great, the building is always clean and bright, and is so close to everything we need. There are also miles of running/cycling trails just a short jog from the front door.
Quincy Plaza is a great place to live. The building is beautifully maintained and the staff are always courteous and helpful. The location is one of the best in the area - situated only a couple of blocks from 2 Metro stops. We had a problem with the ice maker in our refrigerator and someone came within a half hour and fixed it. Can't ask for better service than that! The apartment is spacious and was immaculate when we moved in. The lobby, gym and other common areas are always clean. I would highly recommend this building.
