Raiders Walk

For starters, the place was filthy when I moved my daughter in. She didn’t have a functioning shower or toilet. It’s weeks later and she still has only scorching water. When complained, I was told that I signed lease so there was nothing I could do. How’s that for customer service? I could go on, but you get the gist.

Office staff goes above and beyond to help you and they answer phone calls regularly! I’ve always been able to reach someone every time I call. Maintenance guy is very nice and works fast! My son put in an order and it was fixed the next day! I called many places in town and this staff was the easiest to work with and extremely kind. They also all communicate very well. Great experience and comfortable place to live near campus.

When I got my keys and entered my apartment for the first time, the whole thing was flooded. They cleaned it up and it flooded again. The apartment they moved me to has a horrible roach problem, as I’ve heard some of the other units do as well. Huge roaches come out of my drains and end up in my kitchen. I have took all measures to try to prevent this from happening and been persistent with management and the problem was never resolved. I have not even been able to shower in my own bathroom all year. I hate it here at this dump they called Raiders Walk and am counting down the days to get out of here.

A really good place to live in, the location is extremely convenient. You are minutes away from campus, I no longer pay Tech’s outrageous parking prices anymore. Maintenance crew are the best here and usually get the job done pretty fast. If you’re big on working out, the gym is a little small but if you don’t care then that shouldn’t really be an issue. The community is very quiet, i doubt i have ever seen a single party here. I have seen a lot of bad reviews and was very doubtful about my choice but overall aside from a few cockroaches (which they got on it fast) i haven’t experienced at all anything others have mentioned.

roof leaks- will not repair. have a repair ticket turned in for 3 months. hot water does not work all the time. they keep turning the water off every week. the complex is soooo out of dated its an eyesore

The apartment is nice, it's good for the price you pay. Now, when it comes to the management, I've only had bad experiences. From day one, we got switched to a an unfurnished apartment when we clearly paid for a furnished apartment. Also, we had to chase the management for our furniture, which we did not have for almost two weeks, we had to chase them for maintenance. It has been a frustrating and disappointing experience with the management. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Take your money somewhere else. This apartment complex has so many problems from cars being broken into to constant and long periods of time that you will have no water or a working bathroom. Literally you have no choice but to leave your overpriced apartment somedays just because the water is turned off. Staff is rude. You will not get your money's worth.

Only writing a review because there isnt any recent one. Management is awful. Facilities are awful. Gym is a joke. You could spend your money elsewhere and be so much happier. I've never lived anywhere with so many issues. From attempting to charge me for BLACK MOLD in my apartment. To struggling to fix plumbing. I've been without a toilet and shower for 3 days. There is a literally pile of sewage outside of one of the buildings. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.

Summary of complaints and why you DON'T want to live here: - tons of rats - persistent roaches - thieves breaking into your car at least twice a month, even with it locked - full of drug dealers and people who smoke weed - dog poop and bird poop EVERYWHERE - sad excuse for a "2 story" work out facility - tiny pools that are rarely clean - poor management I've lived at Raider's Walk for 3 years. Not because the service is amazing, but because they're the cheapest apartments. The management team always seemed over-worked so I would look past these horrible things and remind myself... the price. But now I realized that what a mistake that was. I've always compromised to their mistakes but the moment, I ask them to work with me, they REFUSED. I'm currently living in LA and literally have no means or money to get back to Lubbock before my move-out time, so I needed a friend who could enter my apartment to pack up my things. After they asked me and my roommate to jump through hoops to email them letting them know that it was okay to let my friend into MY room and that we would accept any charges he caused during the move-out, they STILL wouldn't work with me. SO now i have to take out a loan (hopefully) for 800$ that I don't have and take off of the job I JUST got to go back to Lubbock and check out simply because they refuse to take my situation into consideration. Trust me. the low prices do NOT make it worth it. Run in the other direction.

The management team was exceptional during our move in. Any issue was quickly corrected and exceeded our expectations. JP the apartment manager; Chelsea the assistant manager and Alfred the maintenance tech treated us like family. Customer service was definitely five stars*****. Samantha P.

Office staff was very nice and helpful and the apartments are super close to campus. Those are the only 2 good things about this dump. When I moved in, the apartment was disgusting. Stains, damages and even evidence of mice were apparent. I was left with a ridiculous balance after move out even though I provided approximately 20 photos the day I moved in. I am beyond disgusted with this company. They don't care about you once you move out. Expect charges no matter what. I am more than happy to provide anyone with photos if you are considering moving in.

I definitely will NOT renew next year, and if you plan to live here, I suggest you micromanage and make copies of EVERYTHING they do. I've never had to deal with incompetence quite like this before. From habitually "losing" my money orders to letting maintenance people into my apartment without any notice to assigning me a roomate without even a courtesy EMAIL... this apartment never ceases to amaze me. And every time I come TO THEM to rectify the mistakes they make, it's always an "I'm sorry." "I'm sorry" isn't going to find my money order, and "I'm sorry" doesn't protect my personal information or my valuables. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I've lived here for 3 years and it's the same mistakes followed by the same meaningless apologies. I definitely will not renew next year; my patience is gone.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! No matter what the cost, do not live here under any circumstances. They lie about how much youre gonna pay, they told me it would be 500, and it ended up being closer to 7. They come in your apartment at random times, everything breaks, the staff is unhelpful, the gym is awful, the pool is filthy, and on top of everything, i tried to switch apartments (because they put me next to one of the 500 drug dealers that live there) they never gave me the key to the second apartmenr, and they threw out everythjng i owned from the first apartment. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!

I love the layout of my 1 bedroom loft and the furniture package that you get is really nice! You get leather couch and armchair with wood furniture, but the best part is the Queen sized bed included. My dislikes are the subpar amenities. There are two pools, but they are small and usually dirty. The gym is small and has a limited number of equipment, but I still enjoy going. This complex was recently renovated, and overall I would definitely recommend it to other college students. I wouldn't suggest this place for families or professionals.

I love living here!!!!! So close to campus and apartments are newly remodeled. Washer and dryer are in unit which is a huge plus. The property feels safe, it's gated, and the maintenance team is incredibly nice and helpful. They are always having fun events and give aways at the office. Things like school supplies, free food, holiday themed parties. Best student property

Maintaince staff is nice, but it is crazy how poor of a job they do. You will not move into a very clean apartment, and I have had my hot water go out 3 times in the 2 months I have lived here. It will take them sometimes 2-4 days to even fix the hot water. It's crazy how bad of a job the maintaince staff does here. At this rate no chance I live here again.

Yea that's how they get you! There's a reason why they charge NO DEPOSIT/NO ADMIN. FEE...they fail to mention that the water gets turned off every week and you get emails after the fact!! Also, they advertise FREE cable/internet but when you move in they tell you oh not til August but you can get Suddenlink for now.

I have toured many apartments in my search for a new home and Raiders Walk is by far the best experience I have had! The staff is so friendly and informative, all the apartments are being completely remodeled so everything is brand new! The apartments even come with a washer and dryer! I signed a lease that same day and ALL the fees (admin, deposit, and app) were waived! This is definitely the place to be if you're looking for a one or two bedroom apartment!

Imagine you wake up in the morning you have an important exam/interview to prepare for. You start studying in your cozy apartment. You then go on to complete your daily chores to the toilet and found out no water anywhere(frustrated!!). You call Raider Walk office asking for the no water situation... nobody picks the call... it goes to voice mail.. you leave a detailed message hoping somebody to call back or fix the problem(Agitated!!)...you repeat calling Office/Emergency Maintenance line multiple times...still no reply(Angry!!)... No emails from Raider Walk either informing any repair/maintenance/outage.... After 1-2 hours you get an email stating there won't be any water today... Imagine this situation every other day of the week. Please get out of here if you can. Thanks.

If you can imagine receiving this email every day for months, then you can live there (I'm not kidding!): Dear residents, Please be aware that the water will be shut off Oct. 24th, 2013, from the hours of 9:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 6:00pm. this schedule will continue until Friday, Oct. 25th, 2013.
