Gorgeous flowers, sparkling lakes, views of Mt. Rainier, Puget Sound, and even a castle -- you may think it can't get any better, but Lakewood is just getting started. This beautiful city borders Tacoma on its north side and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, the largest base on the West Coast, on its south side. More than 540 acres of the city is park space, and when you move to Lakewood, you'll appreciate the ample opportunity to hike, water-ski, row, fish, swim, and picnic.
Lakewood is aptly named, since it is a wooded community featuring five lakes, including the large American Lake. Lakeside beaches provide activities like swimming, and lakefront parks provide boat launches. Fort Steilacoom Park features an off-leash dog park, ball fields, and Waughop Lake.
When you move to your new apartment in Lakewood, be sure to visit Thornewood. This gorgeous castle was built in 1909, but the bricks are from a dismantled 15th-century manor imported from England.

Property Ratings at Rainier Terrace
love the trees and grass all over the place. definite recommend to singles couples and family
Excellent experience! Couldn't ask for a nicer community to live in. From the start I felt welcomed and that the property was well managed. Friendly and helpful manager goes a long way to make sure you feel comfortable in your home
Have really enjoyed my time here at Rainier Terrace. Unmatched service and kindness from management. I'll miss it! I definitely recommend this property to others as concerns are dealt with in a timely manner.
I really love this place. It is awesome and peaceful!
I have lived here for almost five years. I really like that everyone has their own outside entrance so I don’t bump into people (avoid germs) and it helps make the building really quiet.
The maintenance guy Craftsmen skills are equivalent to a toddlers, he's a creep, he will call/text/and pound on the door late hours 10pm and later to request a hand around the property, he's disrespectful and once again a CREEP, if you have an ol lady don't trust him around her, and YES he will just walk through the door to do a maintenance check and not fix anything, he just pokes through to find an excuse to throw $50 on top of rent. Be warned!!!!
Sad to move after living here for many years. Never had any problems and the manager just planted a bunch of new trees. We liked the hard wood floors. All the other places we looked at had cheap carpet. Moving by family so have to go
I like it. its a good deal and my wife likes having the washer inside the apartment
I have lived here for over 4 years and it's been a great place to live. I've stayed a long time because it's hard to find places that are this clean and quiet that I can afford. A few years ago there were a couple of people who were a problem, but the manager took care of it right away. They seem really committed to keeping it nice and they are always quick to respond if I need anything. I love that there's a lot of open space and tall trees. I also have reserved parking, so it's always easy to come and go.
What can I say about Rainier Terrance Apt?? No management on site, maintance man is a lazy jerk, roaches, ants, trash, nosey trash routing identy stealing degerantes, everything a growing family needs. Landry site is the worst, don't count on ever using your parking spot others shall use it for you. Lakewood as a whole is a pit but to add all the extra drama, doesn't seem to ever benifit folks trying to have peace & quiet & not worry about who's gonna get ya' due to a poorer society. I would rent elsewhere.
