Snug between the grassy plains and mountain peaks, Fort Collins is a treat for the eyes. It’s also home to Colorado State University, a top-ranking school known for academic excellence. Like many college towns, Fort Collins provides a variety of shops, restaurants, nightlife, and entertainment in its downtown district, but the pull of the beautiful landscape might draw you outdoors most often. The nearby Rocky Mountains and Roosevelt National Forest are ideal for activities like hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing. In the winter, sledding, skiing, and snowshoeing are popular.
Year-round events and festivals bring Fort Collins residents together. Whether it’s enjoying the popular summer concert series, catching a live musical performance at the Mishawaka Amphitheater, cheering on participants in the Colorado Marathon, or attending one of the popular music festivals, there’s always something exciting happening.

Property Ratings at Ramblewood Apartments
Heat is turned off in the summer because they refuse to fix the thermostats in the apartments. It is just but a cold Jun with weather below 60 degrees and despite being asked to turn the heat on they REFUSE to do so. Mice a major problem and mold in the walls.

I admit I did have a little trouble at first when getting started with Ramblewood. I was told that I was putting a hold on one place and it turned out to be the place I had chosen by mistake, but that was my mistake. This place was still within my price range. Now about the apartment - The staff is friendly and professional. They work so well with me and my son. The apartment is spacious and has really helped my son and I to build a better relationship with the added space. I really like the amenities and can't wait to try out the pool when it next opens. This has definitely become home sweet home.

I have lived here with my family for 2 years. We have had an overall good experience. Staff is friendly and willing to answer questions. During the pandemic, my husband lost his job and the office was open and gave me resources to get help. A++ to the staff! I love the location, it's wonderful to be close to everything in Fort Collins, but away from the traffic and the mountains so close are great for us!

Thank you so much for your kind words.. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us here at Ramblewood Apartments. We count ourselves lucky for residents like you. We’re here for you!
During my time at Ramblewood I have had to endure the following… -Mouse droppings underneath the sink -Terrible air quality that lead to health issues -Flies coming into the apartment due to the amount of dog poo everywhere which proves to be a breeding ground for them -Appliances that are long overdue to be replaced and work at half capacity -Water coming in through the windows on a rainy day and also carpet being damp after a rainy day (I was on the first level) -Trash all around my complex and parking lot -Leasing agents lying to my face and then saying anything verbally discussed in null in void. Get everything I writing! This apartment complex has to be one of the worst ones I have encountered. I moved here as a stepping stone to getting into a house which I did do so I no longer have to endure this project like complex. Don’t make the same mistake as I did and sign a lease here. You can find others in the area that might cost a little more but, in the end, will not treat you like a disposable tenant.

Hi Josh, thank you for leaving your feedback. We are sorry there was a miscommunication in terms of the 60-day notice as we try to communicate clearly through the lease as well as verbally. We take our residents' happiness very seriously and would like to extend our sincere apologies regarding the issues with your rental experience. We wish you the best with your new home! Feel free to reach out to COresidentservices@monarchinvestment.com if you would like to discuss further.
The only complaint I have is my loud upstairs neighbors, but I have yet to do anything about it myself so it's my own fault. But the new management they have in is good! Fixings things up and it's looking better, maintenance crew is in fast and out fast. Very friendly guys. Progress is being made. Just pay your bills and your good! I like the pet friendliness as well! Renting for another year

This is great news, we can't thank you enough! We appreciate you taking the time to share your 5-star experience here at Ramblewood Apartments. It's awesome you pointed out that we're pet friendly- we want all our residents (4-legged furry ones as well) to have an enjoyable experience, so don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything we can do for you!
The drug and theft activity here is completely out of control. Had bike locks cut and bikes stolen from me twice here so I had to carry my bike up stairs every day for any type of security. My mother-in-law had her car broken in to while visiting us overnight. FCPD is at the complex every day busting dealers and 'working girls'. The management falsely reported a late payment to my credit and refused to correct it, stating is was my place to dispute inaccuracies on my credit and they were too busy to deal with my issues. The AC stopped working so they put in another non-working used AC unit that was much smaller than the hole in the wall so it left a huge gap that they refused to fill in or make any repair to.

We are truly saddened that your experience was not as great as we would have liked. We take bad reviews very seriously, and we would like to ensure that your experience is better next time.
The experience that I’ve had here has been awful. I moved into a poorly kept apartment but thought that it was just me getting my money’s worth, but in he past year I’ve dealt with rodents, infestation, mold issues, etc. Not only was this awful but then the apartment has the audacity to fine us for the poor quality of the apartment. Do. Not. Recommend.
My wife and I moved into our apartment at Ramblewood in August, 2017 and it was bad from the start. When searching for apartments we found Ramblewood and decided to check it out. The property manager showed us a showroom unit that was pretty nice inside, and the rent was slightly cheaper than other apartment complexes in Fort Collins, so we signed a lease. The unit we moved into was disgusting. It was like they actually didn't clean at all. There were knife holes in our freezer door, our fridge is held together by tape and the paint job in the whole apartment was awful. When we requested for them to repaint, they told us their "painter guy" was out of town and it would be a couple of weeks till they could get to it. After 3 weeks and asking multiple times, we just repainted on our own. Our dishwasher was filthy when we moved in, there were broken cupboard doors and in general our apartment was not even close to move in ready. The gym is decent for an apartment complex and the pool is okay, although it is closed a lot of the time for maintenance. The apartments do have a good amount of police activity and it seems as if there a lot of domestic disputes that occur. They do a terrible job at regulating noise after 10 PM, as we have complained about neighbors partying until 3 AM and nothing was ever done. The apartments are also very outdated. They still have popcorn ceilings, poorly painted countertops and very old bright fluorescent light fixtures. If you can move elsewhere in Fort Collins I would highly recommend that you do that.

My wife is in a wheelchair and even though they have wheelchair parking to try to get into any of the apartments is impossible. Her son is living there and we visit. However to carry her up and down the stairs is difficult. We've taken pictures and will seek legal advice about the inexcessable access.

DO. NOT. MOVE. IN. HERE. Ramblewood is literally referred to as "Ramblehood" by all of the locals. Don't take my word for it, just ask around. Air conditioners rarely work, you are shown apartments you'll never actually get for the tours, and management and office staff are a JOKE when it comes to getting anything repaired or taken care of. Gunshots, bedbugs, mice, foul smells, rodent-infested ceilings, illegal fees that no one will ever pursue because if you're looking to live here, you probably can't afford a lawyer. I will say this....they had a very nice laundry facility.
Me, my boyfriend and our two dogs live here and its absolutely perfect, it fits all of our needs and that includes my dogs. They have a dog park which is perfect because before this I lived in a house with a pretty big back yard so it gives them that feeling back. It has a fun course for them and room to run around! Not to mention their gym is almost as if you are going to a legit gym you have to pay a $40.00 membership fee for; and they let you use it for free. I was a little skeptical about moving here in the beginning , not going to lie just because the buildings are older and I heard not so good things about the old management. Anyways after the new management took over you can see the changes not only in the office and the updated units but all the way to the friendly maintenance guys! Needless to say I don't ever want to move out. (:
Ramblewood provides an affordable place in a quiet Northwest area of town. They are family freindly and pet freindly. Unlike many apartment complexes, there is plenty of parking! And Ramblewood has lots of amenties... A pool with a large patio area and grill...a fitness room with updated equipment...a large laundry room...tanning beds...playground...garden plots...a dog park...and even a shuttle bus that goes to CSU. Plenty of bang for your buck!
Listen to EXCELLENT advice: DO NOT RENT AN APT FROM ANY OF THE 100 COMPLEXES THIS CUT-THROAT, EXTREMELY UNETHICAL CORPORATION OWNS. THEY BLATANTLY ABUSE RESIDENTS' RIGHTS, THEY MISREPRESENT & DOWNRIGHT LIE ABOUT AMENITIES OFFERED IN THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS TO PROSPECTIVE RESIDENTS & TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR SIGNATURE. YOU ARRIVE WITH YOUR MOVING VAN ONLY TO FIND THAT IMROVEMENTS PROMISED WERE NOT HONORED. MICE, INSECT INFESTATIONS, FAULTY & DANGEROUS ELECTRICAL WIRING FROM THE 70'S, LEAKING ROOVES, COLLAPSING PORCHES, THERE ARE NO LIMITS TO THE LACK OF ETHICS & DISREGARD FOR FAIR & AFORDABLE HOUSING, OR RESIDENTS' RIGHTS. DON'T HAVE YOUR PROSPECTIVE NEW LIFE IN FT COLLINS BE RUINED BY THIS CORPORATION OUT TO MAKE A BUCK IN ANY RUTHLESS WAY POSSIBLE, INCLUDIG VIOLATING YOUR RIGHTS AT EVERY TURN. APTS ARE STILL FURNISHED WITH INEFFICIENT, UNSAFE APPLIANCES INSTALLED IN THESE APTS IN THE 70'S. THE CURRENT MANAGERIAL STAFF IS HEADED BY A VENTURE CAPITALIST WHO LIES TO YOUR FACE SO COMPLETELY SHE LIES TO HER OWN FACE. DEVOID OF ANY HUMANITY OR SENSE OF COMMUNITY HER ENTIRE OFFICE STAFF WILL MAKE YOU THINK YOU ARE MOVING TO A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY. THEY'VE BEEN SYSTEMATICALLY FORCING LOCAL TENANTS OUT BY RAISING RENTS $100 (ONLY IF YOU BEG & PLEAD W/ THEM) UP TO $1,000!! YES, MY NEIGHBORS WITH 5 CHILDREN WHO'VE BEEN LIVING HERE FOR 8 1/2 YRS JUST HAD THEIR RENT RAISED $1,000, & RIGHT BEFORE THE SCHOOL YEAR STARTS.
I've lived in these apartments for three years. one constant seems to be domestic disturbances and druggies. there was an apartment across the street from my apartment that cops seemed to be at daily. there was one apartment that got caught cooking meth. not to mention the shooting that happened in the area where one of the apartments facing the highschoool got caught for shooting at things in the poudre parking lot from their apartment. Last but not least i had an occurence that ended my staying there. my wife and i forgot to pay rent within the five day grace period. we received a three day notice in which we found out our mistake. it was received on the 7th we put payment in the box before the buisness day started on the eleventh. therefore within the three days to attempt to fix it. we received a letter on the 18th telling us we were being evicted and it had the check enclosed. we then proceeded to call the supervisor and ask why this happened. she told us they had not received the payment till the 17th and therefore could not cash it because actions had already been pursued. we told her we put it in the box the morning of the eleventh and it was even dated for the 10th and proceeded to try to keep our home. she would hear nothing of it. wouldnt even admit that it was a possibility they lost it and it was all a misunderstanding and told us even if she did decide too accept the payment that they would want 300$ in court fees even though the court date had yet to occur. thus we are do in for court and losing our home. all in all if you like apartments that have alot of cop activity amongst other problems... then this is the apartment complex for you! also extremely overpriced for what is provided, and to top it all off wont even give a customer who has rented here three years despite all of this... the benfeit of the doubt and pursues legal action without even attempting to call you or work things out. P.S. we never even got our double deposit back for the first apartment that we rented which we cleaned out entirely and vaccumed. even washed down the walls. the deposit should have only been 300$ for our next apartment cause we now had renters history. these people are thieves!!!
Ramblewood is a good starting point. The rent is reasonable and rent includes all utilities except cable and internet. Apartments have a/c and baseboard heating which works well in the winter. There are nice amenities including a pool, a gym with cardio and weights. Plenty of onsite laundry ($2.50 washed and dried). Maintenance guys are friendly and helpful, but sometimes get backed up so repares take longer than they should. It's close to old town and CSU.
I recently moved out of Ramblewood and truly have nothing positive to say about them. They are thieves. I had 4 people cleaning what was an already well kept apartment for 2 days and they had the audacity to charge me $40 for "spot cleaning". I sent in pictures to dispute these charges and was contacted by a staff member that was quite rude. She went so far as to say they were "generous" and that she "could charge me an additional $50 for other cleaning if I want". There are so many better places to rent from in Fort Collins. I urge you to not rent from Ramblewood.
I'm a full time student at Colorado state University and decided to lease my first apartment at Ramblewood because the word on the street was that it was the cheapest place in Fort Collins. I rented a two bedroom one bath with an underground porch. Before move in day, I really didn't know what to expect. There were no tours of the apartments themselves and there was uncertainty about what units actually had fireplaces and porches, as not all floor plans are in the same kind of buildings. I lived with one roommate who is also a full time student. Our apartment was separate from the main buildings and was almost like a small town house. The unit we were in had four apartments, two upstairs with porches and two downstairs/underground with a little cement area "porch." The carpet smelled like animal urine when we moved in, but maintenance quickly replaced it upon request. It was still frustrating to move into a horrible smelling apartment just to shove everything into the kitchen so the carpet could be replaced though. The blinds on the living room window were shabby and broke very easily. Every window in the place had something broken on it, whether it was the lock or the frame. The dishwasher had actual trash in it and hair. It looked like somebody washed their dog in it. The ceilings are popcorn and had dust in various corners. The walls have lead paint and it chipped off into the shower throughout the year. The counter tops are painted as well, but I'm not sure if those are lead. Everything in the apartment was very old. Our heater was from the 70s or early 80s I think. The ceiling on the porch (our upstairs neighbor's porch floor) was visibly crumbling and looked water damaged. One of the kitchen burners was broken when we moved in also. There is no cooling whatsoever, but the heater worked well after it got going and the dusty gas smell went away. The water was quick to heat up, too, and it stayed hot for long showers even when the dishwasher was running. This apartment experience was just ok for me. It was my first place and I'm a student on a budget so I didn't expect much. We also got free cable from Comcast, which was nice. With rent and utilities between my roommate and I, it cost us about 1000 a month to live there. The location is north west, about a 7 minute drive or 20 minute bike ride to campus and Old Town. The neighborhood is quiet and there are a lot of families, elderly, and young couples living there. There's a high school next door.
I have lived at this complex for 2 years. The space is decent sized for what you pay and maintenance is always helpful but the office is disorganized. There were multiple times things got mixed up and confused because of this. I was forced to transfer to a different apartment because they rented out my original by a paperwork mistake. It was also nice to have all utilities included. Just make sure you are on top of your paper work in case something goes wrong otherwise not a horrible place to live what so ever.
I love my apartment complex. I live in the Ramblewood apartments off of LaPorte I love it there and the office management is awesome they take care of all your needs they keep the grounds perfect the dogs are on leashes all the rules are being obeyed its a awesome place for single or family to live
Management is rude and snippy, specifically the redhead, they will rent your apartment out to someone else without a signed intent to vacate. Place is falling apart, car break-ins, and college parties that go until 3 am, police are here nightly.... Would never rent here ever again...
