Property Ratings at Ramblewood Apartments
Property under new management - EV stall has been out of order since August 11, 2022. The account for the EV station was somehow mismanaged by Ramblewood because now instead of paying the flat fee of $20 for the month- I am charged everyday that I use the EV charger on the apt. property. I've sent multiple emails- from which no one responds. No one has been able to fix the EV charging station issue since August 11, 2022. I've talked to ChargePoint and they are very responsive- but the new management is not doing anything. No one has been able to issue a gate remote- my gate remote no longer worked and I turned this into the office on Monday 9/5/22. I was told by new management staff that they would give me a new remote but no one has contacted me. I went into the office a few times to try to get a new gate remote- and each time- the Temp that was working has no access to issue a gate remote. New management is not helpful and frankly seems that they do not care that I am having all these issues.

Dear Resident, Thank you for your candid feedback, and I sincerely apologize that you haven't had the best experience in recent months. I am the new community manager here at Ramblewood and I am actively working to resolve the issues with the EV stations. I believe we have already spoken and that you received a new gate remote since the time this review was posted, but I am very sorry that this wasn't resolved sooner while we underwent a change in staffing. If you'd like to speak in more details regarding your concerns, please contact me directly at 510-797-4600. I hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, Erica Antonello, Community Manager
The management is terrible, tenants keep their patio in unsanitary conditions and we’ve been dealing with cockroaches for over 4 months
I lived there for a year and this what I liked about it: - The apartment building is new ( it was built in the 2000s) everything still looks brand new. -the complex is very clean and organized, you always see workers trimming the plants, cleaning the outside places. - the complex is full of beautiful plants in every corner you walk around. - The leasing office staff are very cooperative and organized, they treat tenants like priority, they always available to help out every time I called or walked in, and very friendly always treat you in a professional way . - the maintenance and the complex workers are very polite and helpful they go above and beyond if you need a fix and you never have to wait for too long when you ask for a maintenance or something needs to be fixed.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We could not be happier to know that you enjoyed your time here, and we appreciate all of the kind things you've said. Thank you for calling Ramblewood your home, and best of luck in your future endeavors!
Moved here from South FL. Because I travel a lot for work moving things in and having furniture delivered when you live alone is difficult. Had it not been for them I’m not sure how things would’ve turned out during the process. Both Sonia and Andrea are amazing. Good area and great complex. Management has gone above and beyond for the 9+ months I’ve been here. I highly recommend Ramblewood.
It's been more there 2 years here.Nice and helpful community to live in.Peaceful neighborhood with everything nearby even bart is somewhat walkable.Manager is very friendly and always helpful.Whenever there is a work order they are on it.Maintenance staff is excellent.
I have been staying here for 12months. Its definitely a good place which i would recommend. Two of the property management - Andrea and Sonia are helpful, friendly and reasonable. You will not regret staying here !
We lived in RambleWood apartment for 1.5 years. The community itself is really great and the apartments are modern style and have a great look and feel to them. However, there is something which I would want to point out to all future residents regarding the security deposit which the management takes while signing the lease. So , the lease states that you have to return the apartment in the exact same condition in which it was delivered to you. BUT it also states that minor wear and tear is acceptable. IT clearly states that minor stains on the carpet is ok as long as there is no major damage to the carpets due to pet stains. When our lease ended, the community charged us 75$ carpet shampooing fee. I tried to reason this out with them , but it fell on deaf ears. When we moved out , we had vacuumed the carpets and did not have any stain on them. We didn't own a dog or cat so stains on carpet were out of question. I pointed out to the management that the wordings on the lease agreement are contradictory to what the management is actually doing by charging us 75$ carpet shampooing fee. I failed to understand how the lease can state "minor carpet stains are ok " and then "charge the residents a 75$ shampooing fee" . This felt like some sort of money extortion strategy to me. So for all future residents , I would want them to be wary of these unsaid charges when signing the lease. I told Andrea, the current property manager to tell the residents upfront that their security deposit will be used to hire an external agency for Cleaning AND Shampooing on move out and the charge can vary depending on the size of apartment. At least this way the residents may not be surprised when they see deductions in their security deposit. We had to pay 210$ as apartment cleaning charges in addition to 75$ for carpet shampooing. Initially they mentioned to us that the charge for cleaning would be 170$ , but when we got the final bill , it went up to 210$. They did give us a receipt of the cleaning agency they hired for shampooing and janitorial cleaning. When we moved out we had vacuumed the apartment and cleaned the floors, but the management insists that we do a deep cleaning and hire an external agency to return the unit in the exact same condition as it was given to us.
We used to live in a 3bed apt before moving to 1bhk in Ramblweood. Used to pay ~50$ PG&E bill. But in Ramblewood my PG&E bill is ~100$ each month. I guess all lights in common area is charged for each apartment.
We lived there for 2 years with absolutely 0 issues/complaints. However, we have been kicked out since the rent was raised 200$ and we were paying below market rate. They charged our complete deposit amount for silly reasons. Beware, if you are renting here forget about your deposit. The management is very bad. When my guest parked the car in Office spot for 30mins they posted a glaring sticker with "Do not park here" written on the windshield which we were not able to take it off. (There is no guest parking inside the apartment). Super thin walls, you can literally hear people talking next door and god forbid if there is a young couple on the floor above you.
They are thieves. They force me to pay the money which i dont owe to them. They are not ready ti talk, and the property manager, Andrea disconnected the phone while talking and never picked again. Worst management.
The staff is incredibly professional and the environment is serene. I am very impressed with how lit up everything is and love the how well kept the dog park/bathing area is kept. The trash area is neat and tidy and the gym is the perfect size. The entire property is very well designed and you get the sense that the planning was done thoughtfully. The vibe is modern, clean, and good use of space. To add, the grounds are very well kept - I do not share the same experiences as some of the older reviews. This property was renovated and is very clean and visually appealing. Yes... it is what looks to be on the final stages of construction but the workers focus on area that is cordoned off and unoccupied. They begin and end working at reasonable times and not once have I had an issue with any of it sense everyone is very courteous and the work is contained. Also, I knew it was under construction when I moved in (you can't miss that this is a newer property and they were up front with me on the timeline). How often do you get to move into a luxury apartment where no one has lived in your unit prior to you? That has been one of my favorites things. It feels like I am living in a condo because everything is brand new and very quiet. The spacious back area even allows for my vegetable garden and seating area! Also, having a shopping area that is a stone's throw away has made routine after a long day at work easier. I have to remind myself, I am a renter :) The only concern I initially had was the small parking spots but as it turns out, it has not been an issue. There is a real sense of community here and my only wish is the residents could meet one another through independent groups and socializing more at their own leisure. Perhaps an e-group would be in order? Thank you Ramblewood for creating an absolutely lovely environment that has become home to me!
So, this apartments is under construction and they are doing it in phases, it is a mess, the old buildings are dam old pretty much everything is falling apart, and the new houses they look very fancy but beware once you get in the problesms starts - Desery the leasing office manager , she is so loud and rude , she is just not a peoples person , whenever she talks she is trying to sell something.Very rude woman. - every other day water shut down -The existing residents are being harassed by lot of things which is going on in the APTMT - The new apartments are overpriced and overrated - not worth it -Construction disturbances -May be after all the phases are done it might be better but don't move now as you wont have peace of mind. -Kids keep running and playing in the parking lots which is so dangerous , parents are no where close. - not a best time to move in .

Dear Resident, I am so sorry for the observation with me. Allow me to make it up to you if I can. Your meaningful residency is extremely important as you chose our community originally. It absolutely broke my heart to come across as rude to anyone, as you know we are all neighbors. I sincerely apologize in any way for lack of attention or time that was not given. The privacy of our residents is extremely protected and cherished. Your right, it was the wild, wild west here at the beginning of last year! Trenching to replace plumbing was vital to upgrading connections. That time has passed, and I truly can agree to the inconveniences that you’ve experienced. I do think a reminder letter to parents is an excellent suggestion! Thank you for your input. I am grateful. I will continuously adjust my skills to accommodate the needs of our new and improved community. Again, I am sorry. Please, accept my apology. Sincerely, Desiree Adel Resident Manager

Desiree, (manager) carries herself in a very professional manner, quite knowledgeable in her line of work. Compassionate and caring, very helpful. The Ramblewood team: On Time!! Ready to help in a heart beat!
roaches everywhere... maintenance is bad. staff never cleans up the laundry area. No lights in the corridor for months. rent used to cheap but with the current rent its waste to try this place. especially if you are afraid of roaches.
