Property Ratings at Ravenwood Hills
We found this complex using the internet. We were initially taken by the pictures. When we went to look at the apartment we were taken to an apartment that was "under renovation". There had been a flood and the first floor apartments were submerged. All the walls were repaired but the wiring was not. We were promised that the storage closet would be ready upon move in. Well 11 months later there was still no door knob or lock on the storage closet and the door had only been put on the month before. We found drugs and paraphernalia in the parking lot and in the hallway. The smell of marijuana was a daily occurrence. Non-residents coming and going at all hours. When we contacted the management office we were told there was nothing they could do and we should call the police. We put in numerous work orders for the wiring. We were shocked multiple times in every room in the apartment. The maintenance people changed monthly and there was a lack of communication between the office and maintenance. Electrical issues did not have a priority. Most of the maintenance people we dealt with were trying hard to do a good job but their priorities were dictated by the management. After my 19 year old granddaughter was verbally accosted for the 4th time it was time to get out. This was and is the worst apartment living experience we have ever had. Do yourself a favor and RUN past this place, you will be glad you did. When our granddaughter did talk to a policeman he said " you seem like a nice kid, get out of this place, its bad news". If I could give less stars I would.
I have lived here before in 2013 ans hsd rhe same issues rhen that im hsving now. i moved back because rhe management promise rhats rhinfs were better ans clewned up. So I decided to move back here because of how cheap the rent was also. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. I've been having constant problems since I moved here in Sept 2015. The first day of my apartment move in date I had to move in later on because my apartment was vandalized. My apartment was vandalized on first day move in, My heater had went out so I didn't have heat or cool air for a couple of months, my carpet has and still in soaking with water, there is mold and mildew, the shower ceiling is leaking because everytime my upstairs neighbors take a shower, My tile had come apart in my bathroom and there is mold and mildew there, my Sinks have been leaking and pouring with water from under the sink, the walls are super thin that I can hear my neighbors across from me fighting every other day, and the only way to block the noise out is by going in my back room closing the door and turning the TV up. The outside is always dirty, they have only one maintance man here that takes a while to fix your problems. Bottlomline, if your looking for really cheap rent and your okay with certain types of environment... and you grew up from around here then come stay here. I'm looking to move this month. I refuse to continue to pay them any money for problems that won't get fixed until they get ready to fix it. which could be anytime. I have been inconvenienced by staying here and regret my move. this apartment just need to renovate and do major upgrades.
I actually found these apartments using apartments.com and I have been living here since March 2015 and it's a pretty decent place. It's usually quiet, there's a pool here, and a nice park right across the street. The property manager is very nice and I haven't had any trouble out of anyone.
