Property Ratings at REC Properties DBA Pinecrest
The apartment manager is the lazy and rude. The property itself is nice, but not worth it when you have to deal with an unprofessional manager.
This is the worst place I have ever lived. My kids aren’t allowed in the pool, even with someone who is an adult, just because they’re under the age of 14. The manager is very rude and always threatens my children just because they like to go outside and skateboard around the apartment complex. She doesn’t make the complex feel like a family friendly place to live. If you have children, I don’t recommend moving into these apartments.
We’re a military couple and have experience renting. We’ve rented 4 apartments in our travels and this is not very high on our list. There are car break ins every single week so make sure you don’t leave anything of value. The dog walking area is very small and not fenced. People do not pick up after their dogs so theres poop everywhere. Management claims they’ll speak to people who party and play loud music all day but it never stops. Both Ann and her assistant are snotty and rude and if you have more than one car which a lot of couples who live in a 1-2 bedroom do, you only get 1 parking spot. We see spiders and have spoken to people who have seen roaches so thats gross too!
I've been here about 6 months now and the apartments themselves are great! The management needs some help but they just hired a new manager. Also the bugs here are kinda gross. They say they have pest control come every other week but the complex has spiders every where as well as roaches. But if you keep your apartment clean then you don't have a problem with them.
I moved in my 1 bedroom apartment in late March early April. It is hard living alone paying for amenities I cannot afford. However, the apartment appreciated but is not a place I would live in for more than a year. Ants bit me at night and the wood outside of my door is rotting while a bee's net's hangs on my balcony. I could not give the complex a good review since none of what I ask to be resolved is ever taken care of even though my rent check is always on time. I'm sure this is not the life style I signed up for just because of certain convenience
I've lived here for a few months and am pleased with the location to stores and restaurants. My only complaint is the Soliciters that knock on my door 2-3 times a week. They ignore my posted sign "No Soliciters" so I ignore their knock, which is usually 8:00pm. Some even beg for money, "Can I have a few dollars for diapers for my baby?" It's beyond annoying all the sales people that roam through this complex!
Staff is very nice. I wish the apartment was 1st floor and had garage.
Going on year 2 here at Pinecrest. All is good and I would recommend. Apartments are nice, clean, well kept. I have met the owner few times, very nice gentleman. Pool is great. Very close to I15 which is great. Shopping close by and some within walking distance. Staff.. Ashley the manager has always been incredibly nice and welcoming, I do try to avoid the office when her assistant Alva is in there though, she is not very personable. They have been very flexible and helped me transition from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom when I no longer needed the space. Eddie the Service Tech is so cool, he always comes right after we call with any issues.
My husband and I moved in last year, and we are very very happy here so far! Some quick info so my review has a background: - We live on the second floor, facing the canyon area so we have a nice view of the Avacado orchards. Our apartment is on the edge of the property. - Our apartment is 700 sq ft STAFF: The staff is very friendly, warm, helpful, professional, knowledgeable, etc. This might not be important to all renters, but having a polite and overall great staff is hugely important to me. They have reasonable hours in the office as well. The staff makes this place great. MAINTENANCE: We had a couple small issues when we first moved in, and the maintenance crew came and resolved them the same day. Again, hugely important to me. When we moved in, one of the outlets wasn't working. Someone came up shortly after our phone call to the office. The maintenance members that I've encountered are friendly and professional. At the last complex I lived at (in Florida) the one maintenance guy was creepy, sleazy, and looked like he just cleaned and painted his garage. The guys here are the complete opposite, which I appreciate as a young woman. Just my opinion! GROUNDS: The complex is maintained and landscaped very nicely. Everything is clean and looks very nice. The furniture is good quality and clean, the pool looks very nice, the Jacuzzi is a nice size. PEOPLE & NOISE: My husband and I tend to keep to ourselves, but the people we've encountered here seem to be friendly and nice. Most will say hi or wave and smile if you walk past them somewhere. We did meet our neighbor below us, and they were very nice. We exchanged numbers so we could tell each other to be quiet if we got too loud, just in case! It seems like most everyone here is pretty well-off. We are the ones with the "dumpy" car (a 10 years old Accord) compared to the other cars here. The people I've seen look like respectable individuals. Well dressed and nice looking people. I don't really have a problem with noise here. It's surprisingly quiet. I haven't really heard any loud music or parties or anything. People seem to be respectful and courteous of each other's peace and quiet! You can occasionally hear people coming up/down the stairs (it seems to echo a bit) or other people talking outside, but it's pretty minimal. There is some overhead air traffic, but it's not very bad. At my old apartment, we lived right next to the Naval base where the Blue Angels are, so yeah... it's not bad here. Don't hear a lot of car traffic. Occasional sirens in the distance, but again, nothing bad. SAFETY: As a young woman, I feel really safe here, Which is very important to feel safe when my husband gets deployed. I feel like I could walk around the complex in the middle of the night and nothing would happen. I haven't heard of any car or apartment break-ins here either. LOCATION: Perfect. We are walking distance from a little shopping center off Mission that has a Albertsons, Taco Bell,Starbucks, some other food places, etc. The location is great because you don't have to drive farther than a block to get to Camp Pendleton. Overall we love it here and compared to the other dumpy places in Fallbrook, this place is a hidden gem! I have referred a lot of my husbands co-workers here and they all agree its super nice! And the rents are great!
Love the apartment itself nice amenities but I do have a few problems... The maintenance guys use the leafe blower when there are no leaves and they just blow dust all over the cars...there is a rooster in the back of the complex that is really loud...my apt is right by the dumpster and my bedroom window faces the parking lot so the garbage trucks are loud early in the morning...there is a lot of traffic here and people that play loud music and have parties...I have a 9 month old so he gets woken up a lot the nearest Walmart is far but nice and close to base you cannot have a charcole grill but propane is ok parking is tight and they are quick to tow ovens are old so they heat up the apt fast and the model we were shown is nothing like the actuall apt we got just be prepared when you come here
