Property Ratings at Redfield Village
I am currently a resident and have been in the apartment for almost 4 months. Management has been very helpful and the apartments themselves, while older, are spacious and comfortable for the most part. I was previously a tenant from 2014 until 2017 as well and wanted to move back because of the great memories I had while living here. However, the first day I had moved back I had a roach problem and even though I did not think it was an infestation, I saw roaches in my kitchen, 4 in fact. Worst part was that this was on a Saturday and there is no emergency number for the exterminator/maintenance and as a result I had to wait until I was in work on Monday to hear back from management. The next day the exterminator was there spraying the kitchen. This was midway through December. Throughout January, February, and March I had continued to occasionally see 1 or 2 more in the kitchen until I found 2 in my bathroom in early March. The exterminator had come out attempted to remedy the issue a few times however mentioned that if my neighbors say nothing if they some in their homes that they cannot examine anywhere else other then my apartment. Needless to say I feel extremely uncomfortable living here now and this issue will continue as it gets warmer out. I am utterly disgusted by this. I will be reaching out to the realty very soon about this issue since I have now exercised all possible options as it was put by both management and the exterminator. I refuse to live like this, and be sure once I am able to leave the apartment, I will never come back. Very disappointed and unhappy. I am also just flat out surprised.
This is a great apartment if you're looking for something in suburban New Jersey. There is a small strip mall within walking distance (including a supermarket and two drug stores)and a nice downtown area. The NJ transit line also has a stop here, about 15 minutes away walking or a 5 minute drive. The apartment itself is spacious complete with hard wood floors. The only drawback is that there is limited parking around the complex.
The complex is fairly large, and the neighbors have always been kind and friendly. The maintenance staff is also extremely nice whenever you call or they visit. Green space (grass/trees/bushes) surrounds the building, so you have a shared backyard and front yard with usually 2 other buildings. The grass is maintained fairly well and cut regularly.
