Nestled just north of I-30, North Arlington is an idyllic neighborhood with a distinct suburban atmosphere. Wide roads are lined with lush trees and modern homes throughout North Arlington, while North Collins Street touts plenty of familiar commercial offerings, from chain restaurants to national retailers.
North Arlington’s sprawling parks and scenic golf courses stand in stark contrast to the bustling environment on the southern side of I-30, which is where you’ll find popular destinations like Six Flags Over Texas, Globe Life Park (home of the Texas Rangers), and AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys). North Arlington residents enjoy a quiet place to come home to as well as convenience to some of the Metroplex’s most exciting amenities.

Property Ratings at Redgate
It’s been over a week in this Texas heat and my AC is still out
Most of my complaints are the same as listed however I will add it was management that ultimately drove my decision to leave. I'm only leaving one star to be able to leave a review.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry you had a bad experience. We’ll strive to do better. Please feel free to reach out to www.karyamanagement.com/contact with any further comments, concerns, or suggestions you wish to share. We would love to make things right if you give us another chance.
Where to start? Parking is an issue depending on where your unit is. The foundation of my building is not level. The microwave fan is not hooked up properly so it spews grease onto the upper cabinets and ceilings. The softest footsteps from upstairs above sounds like giant thumps. My unit is always always humid inside, so much so that my patio blinds always feel wet to the touch (disgusting). There's mold growing inside my air ducts and on my air vents. My painted bathtub is peeling and the manager told me to check back with her about refinishing it when it "gets worse." Several of my window screens have tears in them and aren't secure. My fridge has been missing a piece of the inner part of the door literally since I moved in nearly 2 years ago, making that door space unusable. The paint chips if you so much as breathe on it. Whenever it's smokey outside during the winter with the chimneys going, the smell of the smoke always gets inside when the heater is going (and even when it's not). Some people don't leash their dogs and let them jump on you; others let them poo everywhere they please without cleaning it. There are kids who run around throwing rocks onto people's parions and at people's cars; they also leave trash wherever they go. The pools are never open and the one near my unit is permanently green. The "gym" has like 3 pieces of equipment and most of the time, it's not working. The roofs of the mail house near my unit is literally coming off and the office just leaves it like that. One of my windows doesn't lock and has to be secured by a tiny piece of metal. I have constant problems with my neighbors. One loves thumping their bass and the other smokes constantly, and the units share air ducts which means I spell their smoking constantly (along with their cooking, cleaning, and generally unpleasant smells - one time it smelled like literal garbage in my apartment for 2 days because of the air coming in from next door). Despite being a nonsmoking property and claiming to work with residents to investigate complaints, the office has ignored my complaints from the beginning. They either say they'll do everything they can or they say they can't do anything. Which is it? My neighbors smokes during the day, during office hours, and the office can't even be bothered to send someone over to "verify" my complaints. It's been nearly 2 years of this mess. I'm tired and I'm ready to leave.

I’m a resident here. There is this smell of WEED everyday in this apartment that made the life of me and my partner hard for the past two years. We complained several times to the leasing office; but they did NOT do anything about it. They IGNORE us. The apartment supposed to be smoke free, but management does not have the power to control it clearly. They are not capable of it. The leasing office and managment did not improve a single thing about this issue for the past two years. Every night we should deal with the smell of weed. I cannot believe how irresponsible the management is. I will update this if manager improve it. For now please do yourself a favor and do not consider this apartment.

The manager Ms. Beatrice is wonderful and was very helpful. I moved into an apt in November that I wasn't happy with. I went to her with my issues and the problems that I was having within the apt, voiced my complaints and she reassured me that she would take care of the problem. All the while I felt like my concerns was falling on deaf ears, because we were not corresponding with each other everyday I figured my concerns were not being addressed, but Ms. Beatrice was addressing the problems and working everything out. She was doing exactly what she said - addressing my concerns and taking care of the problem. I could not be happier! Again thanks for all of your help. I would also like to thank Ms. Mariah and Ms. Kacie

Thank you for your positive feedback! We are now under new management and are happy to bring top-quality service and living to all our tenants! Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to improve your stay with us. Thank you so much!
Landry Hill was fine - once it changed to Redgate (new management), it became the absolute worst place I've lived. The apartment definitely felt old - no handles on the cabinets, the counters had a sort of wallpaper on them to make it look like they were marble and it peeled off easily. No ceiling fans! The worst part was the management! As soon as my lease came up they increased the monthly rent greatly. All of the front doors were being painted and in that process, the painter left my apartment door OPEN when they were done! No worries about theft or my pets getting out. I only found out hours later when I came home from work to an apartment I thought had been broken into. I had a maintenance issue that the team had to "fix" multiple times because they were lazy and didn't do it right the first time. This resulted in my door being left open AGAIN! When I brought this up to management, they did not care. I also had multiple neighbors who smoked various substances and the smell came into my apartment all the time. The dog park is a joke because it's so small that you can lie down and touch both sides of it. I had to clean up broken glass in the parking lot because maintenance didn't care. I'd see police arresting someone at the complex about every couple of weeks. RUN AWAY FROM HERE!!
We moved into Redgate Apartments because it was fairly priced. We have lived in this apartment complex for two months now and we CANNOT wait to get out! The electricity and water have been shut off multiple times within this short time living here. First weekend in our new home, and we had no AC. We had to go and buy fans, which we still heavily rely on to keep somewhat cool. Our unit stays around 80* during the day/evening (they say they’ve done all they can do about it). There has been a handful of times where we have went to the pool and it’s locked up! We pay an additional $50/month for both of our reserved parkings. IT IS NOT WORTH IT! There has been many times where we’ve came home and our reserved spot is taken. Don’t call the towing enforcement number that is posted on the property, it doesn’t work. We had to go searching for someone in the office for her to tell us that it is, “not my problem”. After waiting for her to call around, we find out there’s a whole different number that needs to be reached, and on top of it all: she couldn’t even apologize. We are paying every month for way too many inconveniences! This place has potential to be a nice home, however our experience has been extremely INCONVENIENT and very AGGRAVATING!!! Definitely not what we we were expecting!
This is probably the worst apartment complex that I have ever lived in ! The application and move in process was super easy. The day I moved it there was cat hair all over my carpet, the light bulbs in my kitchen and closet were inoperative, and there were splatters of pain every where. There were also dead bugs smashed to the malls probably from the cleaners killing them. It was absolutely gross ! The office gave me a hard time but they did correct some of the issues. I came home one night late from work and I went to unlock my door and the entire lock came off. I called the “24 hous maintenance” number and I had to leave a message and wait for someone to call me back. Nobody ever called me back ! I had to sleep in my car over night until the office opened the next day. I never got an apology or any type of compensation. One of the office managers called the police on me because I told her she was lying about having my AC fixed. The office manager claimed it was fix within the last hour, which was impossible because I had been home all day. My AC has been broken a total of 7 times since April up until now. My apartment has gotten up to 92 degrees. It took them 7 times to fix it properly I came home a second time and tried to unlock my door and the lock fell off again. I went into the office and the office manager in the back to the left had an attitude with me because she was doing “paperwork”. My rent is NOT the amount that was given to me in the beginning. Rent is a different price every month ! The office staff is so rude. Their attitudes are deplorable and they’re in the wrong field. I wouldn’t recommend this property, management company, or anything else that’s affiliated with this company to ANYONE ! Do yourself a favor and look else where ! These apartments are TRASH !
Idiots can't read a ledger. My rent is different each month depending on water bill , any credits owed to me. Remembering when your new lease begins is a poor excuse for you to not being able to read a ledger and not giving me the correct amount owed per month. Trust me when I say, everyone will know how incompetent the office staff is. Check your bill fokes! Redgate I am not happy living here. Stephanie, the manager is unprofessional. The last two months I’ve called in advance to have them calculate my rent. I have monthly rent, parking, a pet fee and water bill and other expenses. Each time they’ll give me a price of what I owe. I pay it, get my receipt. On the first of the month I get a bill for my rent and it’s a different price. I end up going back to the office to pay the difference. So, from now on I will wait for the the bill on door, to get the exact amount owed. Here’s the problem with that, they are not consistent with putting a bill on the door. Secondly, I pay for these amenities that include 3 pools. They only open 1 pool. We don’t know why they don’t open the other two. Stephanie and her staff have terrible organizational skills. I just left her office having a screaming argument with Stephanie. Stephanie is a new apartment manger, maybe 3 months. Before Stephanie, we had Coni as our manager. She was very professional. I have had other complaints about Redgate in the past but Coni and I were able to work the problems out without getting out of control. Today, Stephanie and I had a screaming argument over this issue of me getting different rent prices. . We are both to blame for the screaming match and I owe her an apology. I will apologize later once I have cooled off. I’m tired of getting incorrect information concerning my monthly rent. However, I would give Redgate a poor rating on the office staff for lack of organizational skills and professionalism. Don’t move here.
Towing people’s cars two days before Christmas when people are most financially venerable. I was towed on December 23 2016, I was over a white parking line, which was covered by leaves not picked up by the apartment, and witch prevented me knowing how far over I was. The company was not called; they claim to do “routine patrol” with the complexes permission. When I called the office (after picking my car up) I was treated like a street bum, the attending kept repeating to me “what do you want me to do about it!” I asked her for information about the towing policies, and asked her if she had the pictures, she did but the picture was taken on the opposite side of the car where you CANT see the wheels over the line! She says I was clearly over a foot, but the wheels where not visible, so calming the distance at all would be outrageous. Ended the conversation with letting her know I was more upset know not over the tow, but for the way she handled the situation.
They are called REDGATE Apartments now. I have a couple of warnings... 1. Don't live on the 2nd floor, it's freaking hot during the summer! We could never be able to use the stove (keep in mind I got off work at 8) and the indoor temp went up to 78 and never got cool until midnight (hopefully). 2. Don't live downstairs. We lived here previously (moved back after our last apts rent went up) in the 1st floor and we had to call the exterminator close to 3 times a month! Every time it rains there is so much mud! Which carry in the bugs as well. 3. Be prepared to ALWAYS have little to no warning that your water will be shut off. This place ALWAYS has water pipe issues! Currently, we have not had water yesterday afternoon and its 8 am with no water now. This has happen multiple times and there is no way to cook dinner last night or get ready for bed and now work! 4. There are no light fixtures in the bedroom nor living room. They community is looking better I will give them that! But the pools are always dirty, granted it has been raining though. The trash locations always are filled and are disgusting. We do have a grounds walker/security that walks around for a short period of time maybe twice a day. But overall there hasn't been any noise or disturbance in my area.
I've lived here almost 7 months now and I just want to rave about this place. Before I write my glowing review I want to address some of the "complaints" that others have posted. 1. The office staff: I've encountered nothing but professionalism from everyone there from Coni, Judith, and Erika. In regards to them blowing stuff off and not responding to maintenance requests in a prompt matter, this is hardly the case. When I first moved in there were a few issues with my apartment that needed to be repaired. I noted them on the move in form and within a couple of days everything was taken care of. A month after I moved in the fireplace screen kept falling off the track, I reported it at 11:03pm, keep in the mind the office was closed at the time. By 9:30 the next morning it had already been fixed. Another time there was a water heater that had been installed in my apt, during the repairs to the walls several of my items were damaged. I reported it to the front office and immediately she made sure that everything was taken care of. Not once did she make me feel like I was making it up. There are many more instances where they've had to make repairs and it has always been taken care of almost immediately. Not only that but Coni is always staying in contact with me to make sure I'm made aware of what is going on. 2. Parking: I've seen several cars "ON the line" as one reviewer put it but what they don't understand is this is a hassle for those who know how to park in the line. I don't know how many times I've been stuck between people who were "ON" the line and I had issues opening my door. So yes you break the rule or park like a jerk and you deserve to have your car towed. In addition, I don't know how many cars have been left abandoned or haven't moved in weeks that it's cluttered the parking lot. A simple fix would be to let the office know you're out of town for a few days. I am happy that I chose to live here. There is transparency in everything the office does and says. The ones who are disgruntled are people who are less than perfect tenants anyhow. If you do what you're supposed to and follow the rules you have no reason to complain. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for an affordable luxury apartment. I feel I have to mention that I do not work for nor do I contract with these apartments or the leasing company and I was not compensated for my review. I feel silly that I even have to add that disclaimer....
Let me start off by saying the leasing agents are EXTREMELY RUDE!!! ERICA AND THE OTHER HEAD LADY. The only one that seems to show any concern is Judith. Shes more of a "people person" and they should hire more people like her. Once when i was dropping money order to move in Erica was talking to another resident about an issue and i could hear the attitude in her voice and the resident was asking to speak with whos over her because they felt she was being unfair and she responded " ok sure it doesn't matter shes just going to tell you the same exact thing i just told you" in a snappy way. I just feel like the nature if it all wasn't appropriate and wasn't friendly and i should of took that warning before i signed my lease. Its like once they have you sign that contract they could care less on how they treat you. secondly my car was towed once because they told me i was double parked because my tire was ON the line. not OVER but ON it. that cost me $298. Then i went on a trip for 6 days and i came home to see a towing sticker on my car saying it was an abandoned car and if it isn't moved in 10 days from date of notice they would have towed it. the tow company is black bull towing and they have guys walking around at night dressed as a regular person seeing who cars they can tow. and when they towed it the first time i got my car back with the back bumper halfway detached.
The management is rude and they don't take care of standard maintenance requests. They only care about collecting money. The new manager Coni lies about things and I have seen her yell at people. Very unprofessional. You have to request things a minimum of 10 times because they lose your requests or it takes months to get anything addressed. I came in under Landryhill and now I'm stuck with Redgate management. Bad experience and I can't wait to move. The worst management and customer service I have EVER experienced!
Well the apartments used to be Landry Hill then they got new management and now it's Redgate. I really don't like the apartments. Or the office people. They don't do anything. The pools are always closed. The have this "clubhouse" that's always locked. But maybe with the new management they will improve.
The location is great for people who want to be in the middle of things, but there are LOTS of apartments in this area. I love the floor plans and the quietness of the community considering where it is located. There is a great park within walking distance and whatever you need is close by. Traffic is not too bad considering the proximity to all the attractions. The management has just changed so maybe things will get better as well. The plans they have to improve the property sound great and the staff has been friendly so far. Previous management wasn't great about repairs. Pools were not always open. I have lived here over a year and always felt safe but am getting ready to move because of a security issue that happened last month. I guess that is part of living in the middle of the city.
I've lived here over 2 years. The place has been adequate. A few issues with a referral bonus in the beginning but that's it. Maintenance is kind of lazy and will fix things so that they work temporarily, but break again shortly after. Building is under new management and is now called Redgate, so maybe they will be better.
