Northwest Raleigh features a unique combination of residential neighborhoods and convenient shopping centers all in park-like setting. City planners wanted to preserve as much of the landscape as possible while also making a way for a sprawling city in need of high-quality, affordable housing. The major routes in this part of town are lined with mature oaks and plenty of greenery. Shopping malls and retailers like Crabtree Valley Mall blend into this park-like community seamlessly, and often can’t even be seen form the road. Although this neighborhood is known for being residential, you can find many major attractions nearby like the North Carolina Museum of Art off Blue Ridge Road. Many Raleigh residents call this section of town home because if provides affordable apartments complexes, established subdivisions with large lots, and convenient access to Downtown Raleigh, located less than 10 miles away.

Property Ratings at Regatta at Lake Lynn
The complex looked really appealing when toured but it has really gone down hill and the apartments don’t look like the ones they will have you tour. I’ve seen them ‘clean up’ the property which is actually them just blowing everything to a pile and then running it over with a lawn mower which makes it look really bad. Grass would look so much better and safer than ground up sticks, leaves and mulch. They raise the price of the rent but then dull down the add ons, pest control? Basically nonexistent. Dog park? Fake grass that causes the dogs to slip and burn their paws. Pool? Closed 90% of the time because of issues. Gym? Honestly not necessarily worth it either. Good luck getting management to respond to a call or the front office to actually answer. Had to call multiple times for issues to be resolved. Corporate doesn’t even call back when there’s an issue. I don’t recommend living here.

Dear Reviewer, We hope this year has brought better experiences for you at Regatta at Lake Lynn. The pools were open all summer after some amazing renovations took place and our team has now been fully staffed and able to address concerns in a timely manner. If you are still experiencing any issues, please come to the office or contact our team at Regatta@Knightvest.com and one of our amazing team members will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
While the apartment itself is somewhat decent, the office/management team are truly awful. Upon moving in, there were a few maintenance requests that I had submitted. The office called and told me that maintenance was backed up but would soon get to my requests. They never fixed the issues, even after I submitted new maintenance requests. Also, their office hours say 9am, however no matter what time of day I call no one ever picks up. I usually have to call about 4-5 times to get a human on the other end. Lastly, new tenants moved in the apartment above me with two dogs who persistently barked throughout the day, every day. I made several complaint calls to the office and nothing was ever done. Working two jobs and long days is hard enough without two barking dogs waking me up at 7:30am and not stopping until the owners got home. Do not live here, there are far better places.

Do not move here. Ever. I hate this place. We recently got new management and it's been terrible. We can no longer pay rent via an electronic check. The customer service is Terrible. I received a package and got to office while someone was in the office and she refused to give me package which would have taken her less than three minutes even though she stayed in the office for over ten minutes after I left. They are unreasonable and they don't care about the residents. Maintenance requests are typically ignored and the they even recently changed the hours of the 24/7 gym and community room which for someone who is at work whenever the community is open is very unfair especially when we signed a lease which included 24/7 availability. The pictures online do not represent what you actually get either. Do not move here.
At first, Regatta at Lake Lynn seemed like a perfect fit for my roomate and I. We moved into the complex a year ago, at first, we received nothing but good customer service from Marcia and the team. We loved the location, the pools, the gym and especially how spacious and comfortable our apartment was. The maintenance staff was always friendly, helpful and efficient, always fixing our issue within 24 hours of the maintenance request. Everything about Regatta seemed great, UNTIL it was time for us to move out. 4 days after we moved out of our apartment, the staff decided us to call us and let us know, "by the way after not turning in your keys for 4 days we charged you per day for rent" So instead of letting us know to turn the keys in upon move out day (my roomate had been in and out of the leasing office), the staff decided to wait until the charges added up for 4 days until we were given a phone call to return the keys (WE WERE TOLD THEY CHANGE THE LOCKS ANYWAY!) On top of this, my roomate and I received a notice that upon move out, the "maintenance crew" noticed that we "ruined the carpet and blinds". Attached to the e-mail were photos of a chewed windowsill, broken blinds, chewed carpet and a wall that clearly had bite marks in it. I knew immediately that there must have been some sort of mixup, as my roomate and I never had animals enter our apartment at any point during our lease, and on top of that we took VERY good care of the apartment, cleaning and vacuuming daily. So we calmy sent an e-mail to Monica, the assistant manager, stating there was obviously a mixup (A HUGE MIXUP CHARGING US OVER 400$) we are on week 2 of this matter, and the HUGE mixup still has not been addressed, several emails were sent, and we have not received a notice or apology from the complex. I have never in my life dealt with such irresponsiblity from an apartment complex. The situation is still pending, due to THEIR mistake. This is an unprofessional, irresponsible way to deal with tenants who were always on time with their payments, quiet, respectful and took good care of their apartment. I am extremely dissapointed in the staff at Regatta. They are unorganized, and were quick to charge us for mistakes that were made on THEIR part, and this is a terrible way to end a lease. DO NOT LIVE HERE if you want to deal with a staff that is unprofessional and unorganized.
My current apartment is adequate to comfortable. Raleigh, NC has become a high rent area, though, which is the draw back. The staff and maintenance crew at the apartment complex are very good and quick to address any maintenance concerns, which makes living arrangements comfortable. The apartment itself could use some updating, though, as the complex is a bit on the older side. Overall, the apartment and the area surrounding it is nice and peaceful.
Great community!, clean aminetys. However heating and airconditioning units in the apartment are a bit out of date and therefore your utilities will run a bit high because they pull a lot of energy.
Living at the lake is pretty decent. It is extremely quite out here if that is something that you are looking for. The staff is very friendly and was the only apartment complex willing to work with me when I moved in here. They only downfall would be the cellular reception I guess due to the many trees out here and the many flying bugs by your door due to the lights. Other than that. This complex is very decent. I love it so far.
...when I moved from the mountains back to Raleigh. I was previously a student at Applachian State University, so when I moved back to the city I was hoping to find a slice of "wilderness." The Regatta at Lake Lynn offers a very secluded feel, an incredibly reasonable rate for the area, and the most beautiful setting you can get without moving out to the country. My building in particular is less than 50 yards from Lake Lynn. The Lake features a 2 mile long hiking trail, which is usually accompanied by some lovely turtles and ducks. Perhaps the important piece of the puzzle is that the staff are just incredible. The front office staff is great at hosting occasional community events, notifying me when packages are delivered there, and were very helpful during the leasing process. The maintenance staff is even better. Within 24 (usually much less) hour of a maintenance request going in, they are there to help. They are always respectful of our schedules, clean up after themselves, and are fun to talk to in most cases. The apartment complex has all the basic luxuries. There's a 24 hour fitness room, two pools, and it's at a great location. Those are all easily searchable though. The lifestyle, scenery, and staff are what make this place ideal.
Awesome location around lake Lynn. Great for walking / being outdoors. Safe and quiet environment. Staff is friendly and helpful. Repairs are done quickly. Haven't had any issues.
I chose the Regatta after weeks of searching the area for a reasonably priced single bedroom apartment. My apartment is indeed small, but quaint and very well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And the lake is only a short walk away. I am very happy with my decision to make the Regatta at Lake Lynn my home.
Regatta At Lake Lynn is a great apartment complex to live in. The office management is friendly and helpful, the maintenance staff has always responded promptly to any requests. The grounds are lovely, and wildlife abounds in the area. I've seen both deer and rabbits from my balcony!! As the name suggests, the complex resides on Lake Lynn which has a 2.2 mile walking trail around it. Toss in free basic cable AND washer & dryer included with the monthly rent, and I doubt you can find a better deal out in the area!!
The Regatta has been a much needed apartment complex for me. I have lived in Raleigh for 8 years and have bounced around in both rental homes and apartment complexes. This complex, by far, is the best I have been in. First, the location is great. It is a stones throw aways from Crabtree Valley Mall and Brier Creek. I would have lived closer to Brier Creek but the cost is too high and a lot of the people in that area are too ritzy. It actually has worked out better for me at the Regatta because it is closer to downtown Raleigh than Brier Creek. Second, the rent is fairly respectable and can compete with any other apartment complex in the area. The rates i'm sure change frequently but the price is worth anything else any other complex offers in the vicinity. Third, the staff is extremely attentive and will help with any problems associated with your apartment. I have had drains not drain properly and a chimney leak issue that was addressed almost immediately and taken seriously. Most places would put a request from me and put in to a back log and take weeks to address. Along with the fact that there has been no crime or need to fear in such a large city, the pools (yes two pools), dog park, plenty of parking, access to lake lynn AND they accept animals, this place has been the answer to what I have been looking for!
This Apartment offers a home feel with quant upgraded features, loacted in a wooded area near lake! From the wood buring fire places to the large windows the apartments offer the feeling you want to go home to at night. With the local mall less than 5 miles away and grocery stores less than a mile away its a perfect location for convience.
